Inside the Mind of Josef Fritzl

During August, 1984, Josef Fritzl, then 48, imprisoned his 18-year-old daughter Elisabeth in a damp and moldy secret room he had constructed beneath his home. Over the ensuing years he raped her numerous times, "fathering" seven children with her. One of those children died shortly after birth due to breathing complications Fritzl allegedly neglected to address - an act for which he was on trial for murder. He had already pled guilty to incest and to threatening to gas or electrocute Elisabeth and her children if they attempted to escape. Now, he has admitted to all the charges against him.

Reality TV Star Turns Death Into Show

British reality TV star Jade Goody, who appeared on the show 'Big Brother' in 2002, is turning her death into reality television. Goody suffers from terminal cervical cancer and is making a show about her impending demise. Recently, she wed an ex-con named Jack Tweed, in a televised ceremony, which included bridesmaids who had shaved their heads (to mimic Goody's hair loss from chemotherapy). Tweed was allowed by officials to stay out past his house arrest curfew, imposed after his 18-month jail sentence for attacking a teenager with a golf club.

Fatal Football

One hot summer day last August, a Kentucky high school football coach named David Jason Stinson decided that his players needed to be pushed at practice to perform to his standards. The team ran what are called "gassers" - sprints up and down the field - to build stamina. One onlooker reportedly said the jeering of players by Stinson and his staff was "appalling." Stinson himself allegedly vowed that the sprints would continue until one player quit the team for good.
