Halle Berry is an Oscar-winning actress from Cleveland, Ohio.

Berry first earned herself an Academy Award in 2002 for her work on the film “Monster’s Ball,” for which she won best actress. Berry was the first African-American to take home a win in this category.

Before Berry started her acting career, she was a model. Her resume includes participation in both the Miss USA and Miss World pageants. She first began acting in TV shows like “Living Dolls” and “A Different World.” Soon after, she landed movie roles in films such as “Jungle Fever,” “Boomerang” and “The Flintstones.”

In 1999, Berry starred in the TV movie “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge,” which she was highly acclaimed for. She won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for her leading role in the drama.

She dated model Gabriel Aubry from 2005 until 2010 with whom she shares her daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry. Her third marriage was to actor Olivier Martinez, with whom she shares a son. The couple divorced in 2016. Berry began dating singer Van Hunt in 2020.
