Jacksonville Jaguars: What to know about the NFL team
The Jacksonville Jaguars entered the NFL as an expansion team in 1995 and quickly became a threat in the AFC under Tom Coughlin.
Based in Jacksonville, Florida, the Jaguars play at EverBank Stadium. In their second season, the team made it to the AFC title game, only to lose to the New England Patriots in 1996, and later lost to the Tennessee Titans in 1999. Jacksonville reached the playoffs four times in its first five seasons. The team has won three division titles since 1995 but has never made it to the Super Bowl.
Some historic Jacksonville Jaguars players include Mark Brunell, Fred Taylor, Tony Boselli, and Jimmy Smith. During the 2025 NFL Draft, the Jaguars signed Colorado's Travis Hunter, who will play alongside Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne Jr., and other players.
