President Trump is targeting Memphis, TN as the next location for his federal crime crackdown. On Monday, Trump established the 鈥楳emphis Safe Task Force.鈥� Trump said the task force would include the National Guard, FBI, ATF, HSI and ICE. Memphis has the highest crime rate of any city in the U.S. However, Memphis reported the city's crime is down nearly 20% compared to this time last year, making some question if the National Guard is the answer to solving the lingering crime. "We've got law enforcement here already. We've got state troopers that they've sent in. We've the FBI here... The National Guard is just another form of law enforcement," Joe Murrow, a Memphis business owner, said. Others pointed to the National Guard deployment in Washington DC as evidence that the President's crime crackdown could work. Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee says the task force work in conjunction with the FBI's existing 'Operation Viper,' which has already resulted in the arrest of 'hundreds' of violent offenders.聽 聽
