ӣ��Ƶ unveils extensive 2026 midterm coverage plans with control of Congress at stake

FOX News Media announced Thursday that it will offer expanded coverage of the 2026 midterm elections across television, digital, audio and podcasts — bringing the latest results and analysis straight to viewers, wherever they are.

ӣ��Ƶ Channel’s Bret Baier, chief political anchor and executive editor of "Special Report," and Martha MacCallum, anchor and executive editor of "The Story," are set to co-anchor the network’s midterm election coverage with ӣ��Ƶ' "Democracy 26."

Coverage will begin at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 3, with ӣ��Ƶ Channel's Dana Perino, Brit Hume, Harold Ford Jr., Bill Hemmer, Sandra Smith, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity, Trace Gallagher, Harris Faulkner, Kayleigh McEnany and Jessica Tarlov set to appear alongside Baier and MacCallum throughout the night.

Programming is set to continue into the evening and will bring the latest calls on the nationwide House, Senate and gubernatorial races straight to viewers — along with projections on the balance of power in both the Senate and House as predicted by the ӣ��Ƶ Decision Desk.

Democrats are trying to take back majorities in the House and Senate from Republicans, who have controlled both chambers since the 2024 election.

Fox Business Network will also simulcast coverage starting at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, until 6 a.m. ET the following day.

Viewers can expect a special early edition of "Fox & Friends First" starting at 4 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Throughout the broadcast, ӣ��Ƶ Channel will expand its use of augmented reality and data-driven graphics to provide real-time context for viewers as election results are tabulated.

More than 20 ӣ��Ƶ Channel and Fox Business Network correspondents are also set to provide additional coverage throughout election night from across the country.

"Ruthless Podcast" hosts Josh Holmes, Michael Duncan, John Ashbrook and Shashank Tripathi, known as "Comfortably Smug," will air the "Ruthless Live! Midterm Election Show," broadcast from Washington. It will stream from 8 to 11 p.m. ET on ӣ��Ƶ Digital and Fox Nation.

In the week before the election, "Fox & Friends" co-host Steve Doocy will take his "Breakfast with Friends" segment on the road again, talking with voters at diners in swing states.

He will start Oct. 26 at JC’s Restaurant in Burton, Ohio, before heading to Four Corners Diner in Romeo, Mich., on Oct. 27. Doocy will broadcast from Keys Café & Bakery in Roseville, Minn., on Oct. 28, and from Bubba’s Cooks Country in Dallas, Texas, on Oct. 29.

His final stop will be Big Doug’s Place in Hiram, Georgia, on Oct. 30.

"Fox & Friends First" co-host Todd Piro will continue the tour on Oct. 31 from Stacks Pancake House in Scarborough, Maine. On Election Day morning, "Fox & Friends Weekend" co-hosts Charles Hurt and Griff Jenkins will close out the series at a diner.

SMX champion Levi Kitchen opens up about rebuilding confidence after frightening Daytona crash

Levi Kitchen is on top of the SuperMotocross world. But getting there required more than recovering from a serious injury. He had to learn to trust himself again.

The 25-year-old Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider captured the 2026 Monster Energy SMX 250 Class World Championship in September 2026, securing his first professional title and ending a seven-year championship drought for his team.

It was a career-defining moment for Kitchen, who had spent years coming close to winning a championship while battling injuries and setbacks along the way.

"It was unreal," Kitchen told OutKick OutDoors in an exclusive interview. "I've had some heartbreaks, obviously been close, but it felt really good."

"It was pretty emotional for me just because it had taken a while to win anything of that caliber," he added.

But the road to that championship was anything but smooth.

The long road back from Daytona

In March 2025, Kitchen suffered a violent crash during the Daytona Supercross that left him with a broken collarbone and fractures in his upper back. The injuries sidelined him for the remainder of the Supercross season.

And while he eventually healed enough to return to racing, Kitchen said the mental recovery was a different battle entirely.

"Oh yeah, big time," he said when asked whether it was difficult to regain his confidence after the crash.

"If I look back at that season, even when I came back on the bike, in 2025, I was maybe a top-five guy outdoors. And then at least was able to compete for the championship this year."

That progression didn't happen overnight.

"Slowly but surely, I've made really good progress, and I have all my confidence back," Kitchen said. "It just goes to show, I think fans, or just anybody, don't realize how much injuries can really affect everything."

"It can be a real pain in the butt to build yourself back up."

For fans watching from the sidelines, a rider's return to competition might signal that the recovery process is complete. But as Kitchen explained, getting back on the bike doesn't necessarily mean getting back to the same level of confidence and performance.

It took time, patience and a different approach to racing.

Learning when to back off

Looking back on everything he's experienced, Kitchen believes one of his biggest improvements has come from learning to trust his abilities while also recognizing his limits.

"The biggest thing I would say is just finally the belief," he said. "The belief side of it is super important. And I think on any given day, if I show up with the belief that I can get something done, normally I can get it done."

But confidence alone wasn't enough.

Kitchen also had to develop a little more restraint — something that doesn't always come naturally in a sport where riders are constantly pushing the limits of speed and control.

"Just maturity of racing," he explained. "Now, if I don't really have it on a day, I try to be as smart as I can. Where before, I would probably still try and then end up on the ground or something."

It's a lesson learned the hard way, but one Kitchen believes will serve him well beyond a single championship season.

"I want to race for a lot more years to come and can't be too stupid," he said.

That shift in mentality paid off in September when Kitchen secured the 250SMX World Championship at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale, Mo.

And the victory meant something special beyond his own accomplishments.

Kitchen's title ended a seven-year championship drought for Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki, one of the most decorated organizations in 250-class racing.

"Mitch has done so much for me," Kitchen said, referring to team owner Mitch Payton. "Me and Mitch have gotten close over the years, and he's been a great boss and friend of mine now. So it was super special."

One championship down, but plenty more to chase

Despite finally capturing that elusive first title, Kitchen insists he isn't suddenly feeling satisfied.

In fact, winning the championship has only strengthened his belief in what he's capable of accomplishing.

"It didn't really take any pressure off," he said. "The only thing it did was help me with the belief side of things. Just being able to execute."

Kitchen has his sights set on both a Supercross and a Pro Motocross championship in 2027, and he plans to remain in the 250 class for at least another season.

"The Supercross Championship has been a major goal of mine, so that's my first goal," he said. "But overall, just maybe be a little better than I was this year."

And while the first championship was certainly worth celebrating, Kitchen knows there's no guarantee the next one will come any easier.

"I don't think you'll ever be satisfied, really, which is a tough thing," he said.

For now, though, Kitchen can take some satisfaction in knowing how far he's come.

A year ago, he was still working to rebuild his confidence after a frightening crash. Now, he's a world champion.

DOJ moves to boot two federal judges from immigration cases over remarks to media: 'Extraordinarily imprudent'

Two Minnesota federal judges who took the unusual step of publicly criticizing the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown to the New York Times are now fighting the administration’s efforts to disqualify them from cases involving immigration enforcement.

One of those judges, Patrick Schiltz, is overseeing the Justice Department’s effort to strip U. S. citizenship from Salah Osman Ahmed, a Somali-born man who pleaded guilty in 2009 to providing material support to terrorists after joining al- Shabaab. The other, John Tunheim, is presiding over the prosecution of a South African national accused of falsely claiming U. S. citizenship and illegally voting in the 2024 election. The Justice Department filed separate motions asking Schiltz and Tunheim to recuse themselves, arguing that their participation in the New York Times report criticizing President Donald Trump's Operation Metro Surge has raised questions about whether they can fairly preside over the cases.

"Impartiality is imperative to ensuring public trust in our Nation’s judiciary," the Justice Department said in a statement posted to X this week. "Judge Schiltz’s and Judge Tunheim’s on-the-record participation in a recent highly partisan New York Times Article, along with Judge Schiltz’s subsequent public comments, unquestionably calls into doubt whether they can be impartial in these cases."

The Justice Department's formal recusal demand follows reporting by ӣ��Ƶ Digital last month detailing unusual behind-the-scenes coordination among Minnesota's federal bench as judges confronted a massive influx of immigration cases stemming from the administration's enforcement operation. The report came after Schiltz and Tunheim were among seven Minnesota federal judges who spoke with the Times in September about Operation Metro Surge. Schiltz sat for a roughly 90- minute interview during which he described the administration's handling of the operation as having created a "grave threat to the rule of law," while Tunheim suggested to the Times that agents carrying out the administration's immigration crackdown were not primarily apprehending dangerous criminals.

DOJ had already raised the prospect that judges who publicly discussed the administration's immigration cases might need to step aside when the Times report was released in September. Last month, DOJ filed a judicial misconduct complaint against Schiltz, Tunheim and other Minnesota judges who participated in the Times report, accusing them of violating judicial ethics rules and asking the Eighth Circuit to investigate. Attorney General Todd Blanche said their conduct had "undermined public confidence in an impartial judiciary in Minnesota."

"It is remarkable that sitting federal judges are giving on-the-record interviews attacking this Administration's policies rather than ruling from the bench," a Justice Department spokesperson told ӣ��Ƶ Digital in September. "Judges who have made public comments on pending or related matters should consider whether recusal is warranted going forward."

The Times report in question revealed that Schiltz, Tunheim and the other Minnesota judges handling the flood of Operation Metro Surge cases regularly met, communicated through running email threads and used an informal spreadsheet created by court clerks to identify judges to consult about recurring legal questions. Chief Judge Eric Tostrud previously told ӣ��Ƶ Digital that the judges nevertheless independently decided every case assigned to them.

"The bottom line is that each of us made an independent decision with respect to the merits of each and every petition we were assigned," Tostrud said at the time.

The Justice Department, however, has accused Schiltz and the other judges of "publicly" taking sides in the ongoing battle over Trump's deportation agenda.

"A judge who has publicly taken sides on the political issue of immigration enforcement cannot then preside over a case concerning one of the Justice Department’s key immigration initiatives: pursuing the largest denaturalization effort in Department history to restore trust and integrity in U.S. citizenship," Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward wrote.

Schiltz declined to comment on the Justice Department's new effort to disqualify him when reached by ӣ��Ƶ Digital this week. But when ӣ��Ƶ Digital asked him about the possibility of recusal in September, Schiltz argued there was no basis for him to step aside — and pointed to the fact that DOJ had not asked him to do so.

"I have seen suggestions from the Administration that I might have to recuse in immigration cases, but no one has yet identified any basis for my recusal, which is presumably why the Justice Department has not asked me to recuse," Schiltz said at the time.

"Neither in the New York Times article nor anywhere else have I commented on the merits of a particular case," he continued. "Instead, I have spoken in defense of the rule of law, a component of which is compliance with court orders. That is not a cause for recusal."

Tunheim did not respond to ӣ��Ƶ Digital's request for comment.

Charles "Cully" Stimson, a senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation who previously served as a federal prosecutor and military judge, told ӣ��Ƶ Digital that judges ordinarily avoid publicly commenting on matters that could intersect with cases before them.

"These judges did something extraordinarily imprudent, and that is to talk to any newspaper, much less the New York Times," Stimson said. "That was a big no-no."

Asked what he would do if the New York Times interviews were the only facts at issue, Stimson said he would step aside.

"If we were to just go off of the New York Times interview ... I would recuse myself," Stimson said, noting the recusal would only be from the particular case at issue as opposed to all future cases adjudicating the same principles.

Stimson cautioned, however, that recusal motions put judges in the unusual position of effectively judging their own impartiality and said it would be inappropriate to predict how either motion should ultimately be resolved without the complete record.

If either judge denies DOJ's request, Stimson said the government could seek review from the Eighth Circuit, where a three-judge panel would determine whether the government has met the legal standard for recusal.

Tourist dangles 23 stories above busy street in 'reckless' daredevil stunt

A spine-tingling rescue unfolded in New Zealand this week after a tourist's parachute became snagged on a luxury hotel, leaving the man dangling 23 stories above a busy street before his eventual arrest.

The tourist, a Belgian national, was attempting to BASE jump from the 27th floor of Auckland's Hotel Indigo when his parachute became caught on the building's exterior.

BASE jumping is an extreme sport that involves parachuting from fixed objects, including buildings, bridges and cliffs.

The incident took place at around 10:42 p.m. Tuesday night, police said.

The 22-year-old man has since been charged and is scheduled to appear in Auckland District Court on Oct. 27, according to police.

The rescue came at a steep cost, with firefighters forced to smash a glass panel worth about $20,000 New Zealand dollars (about $11,400 USD) to reach the stranded tourist.

"Fire and Emergency New Zealand were able to free the man. However, the building suffered damage to the exterior, and guests staying at the hotel had their evening disrupted due to the event," Inspector Grae Anderson, the area commander of Auckland City, said in a press release.

"In order to reach the man on the outside of the building, a glass panel worth approximately $20,000 had to be smashed."

Police reported that the tourist was not injured and did not require medical treatment.

Anderson said investigators believe the tourist was the same person who filmed himself BASE jumping from another Auckland building in September that was under construction.

"We do not condone this type of behavior," Anderson said.

"It is reckless and poses risk[s] to the person jumping and those on the ground."

Inspector Anderson said he hopes this incident will make anyone else thinking of repeating these types of stunts reconsider.

"In this case, the man not only needed rescuing, but paying guests [at] the hotel had their stay impacted, and expensive damage had to be caused to facilitate that rescue," Anderson said.

"This is unacceptable, and, now, instead of leaving New Zealand and carrying on with his travel plans, he will stay here and face the consequences of his actions."

Rangers vs. Toronto Maple Leafs preview favors the under as both teams tighten defensively

I don't put a ton of hockey plays out, mostly because it isn't a sport I follow overly closely until the playoffs. And because, especially around now, the NBA is in action, the NFL has a game tonight, the World Series starts tomorrow, and College Football is basically every day. Unfortunately, the NHL tends to be put in the back seat. It has been a fun early season, though. I've got a play tonight, but just take this as a mild warning that hockey isn't my best sport. Tonight we have a play on the Rangers vs. Maple Leafs game.

The New York Rangers come into this game as one of the best teams in hockey with a 7-3-1 record, but all three of their losses and the one overtime loss came on the road. They started the season rather hot, but they have cooled off a bit over the past few games. They were 6-2-0 for the year and over the past three games, they've gone 1-1-1. The ugliest by far was the loss to the Devils; they allowed seven goals in that game, and outside of that game, the team hasn't allowed more than three goals in any game this season.

In fact, their defense and goalkeeping have been their strength this season. They've allowed a total of just 24 goals in their games this season. Take away the seven to the Devils, and now opponents are averaging just 1.7 goals per game. Dylan Garand is expected in between the pipes tonight. He is 4-2-1 for the season and allowing 1.85 goals against per game. His save percentage is an outstanding .929 for the year. He hasn't ever faced the Maple Leafs in his career.

AN NYC CURSE: RANGERS TOP GOALIE DRAGGED OFF ICE AS NEW YORK SPORTS NIGHTMARE DEEPENS

The Toronto Maple Leafs are not off to a great start this season with a 5-4-2 record, and they are just 3-3-1 at home this season. They aren't in exactly a great position either, with three losses in their past five games. However, they did win the past two games and have only allowed three goals total in the past two games. Of the six losses or overtime losses, they've only had one game where they lost by more than one goal. The team is averaging 3.45 goals per game, so the offense hasn't been bad, and they are allowing only 3.09 goals. Perhaps they just need to find a way to close out games better.

I really wouldn't expect it to be a problem from the Maple Leafs. They have a talented roster with Auston Matthews leading the way - he already has 18 points this season, leading the team in all three categories. The team is likely to send out Sergei Bobrovsky to mind the net tonight. Bobrovsky is 2-3-2 for the season with a 2.96 goals-against-per-game average and a .902 save percentage. He has actually been slightly worse at home than he has on the road. Outside of his most recent game, he has allowed at least three goals in every start he has had this season.

The Rangers and Maple Leafs are both not in an ideal situation to back either one of them. I do lean to the Rangers because Bob has been allowing more goals, more consistently than Garand. Instead of backing a team, I think it makes sense to back the under 6.5. The Rangers have been consistently limiting opponents, and it seems like this will be closer to a 3-2 win than a 4-3 or 5-4 victory for either side. Give me the under.

The quarterback tends to get the glory when it comes to team success, but both of these teams realize just how important it is to own the ground game. The Patriots look to get their running game going and keep Caleb Williams off the field, and the Bears will continue to hand the ball off regularly in hopes of owning time of possession.

The Patriots have been almost completely even in terms of rushing vs. passing plays this season. New England has thrown the ball 189 times, and they’ve run the ball 187 times. They have a two-headed attack with Rhamondre Stevenson and Treveyon Henderson carrying the ball 120 times this season.

Stevenson is averaging 3.7 yards per carry and has two touchdowns this season, while Henderson has one touchdown and is averaging four yards per carry in five games. Drake Maye has the other rushing touchdown for the team.

The Bears have been one of the best running teams in football this season. They’ve run the ball eight more times than they’ve passed it. They also have a two-headed rushing attack. De’Andre Swift gets the bulk of the carries with slightly less than half of the attempts this year. Kyle Monangai has 60 rushes this season and is the primary option outside of Swift.

Monangai has missed the past two games, but Roschon Johnson has run the ball 22 times and scored a touchdown this year in his place. Swift has six touchdowns this season, and Monangai has three. Caleb Williams has found the end zone twice as well.

I had a nice Week 5, but my reads in Week 6 were a bit of a disaster. They weren't all losers, but the bets I felt best about were ruined rather quickly, unfortunately. Teams like the Colts had a meltdown, and I wasn’t able to overcome it with any of the other wagers I had. By the time I had locked in a bet on the Falcons, Caleb Williams was named the Bears starter. Not exactly an ideal situation. Hopefully this will be a better week as the Bears take on the Patriots on Thursday Night Football.

The New England Patriots are playing good football again, which is not something that you could've said a few weeks ago. Pessimists will say that the schedule is just a bit softer at the moment and that's why they’ve won. An optimist would say that the team has finally found the rhythm they are looking for. I don’t like to live too much on either side; I prefer to live as a realist as much as possible. The team has a solid defense, and their quarterback looks better.

Drake Maye struggled in his first few weeks this season. He threw a costly interception in Week 1 that sealed the win for the Seahawks. The Patriots were within field goal range at the time and probably could’ve kicked it to send the game into overtime. It was a fair attempt from Maye to at least try and win the game, but it was also his third interception of the season. He has seven of them for the year. Through three games, he had one touchdown pass and six interceptions. Since then, he's had 10 touchdowns and just one interception. Whatever change he made seems to have worked.

The Chicago Bears got their quarterback back last week, and the offense instantly improved. Williams got hurt in his second game of the season, pulling his hamstring in dramatic fashion. The team was able to sustain his absence, though. The Bears went 2-1 without Williams under center. They beat the Eagles and Jets with Case Keenum and Tyson Bagent before losing to the Packers.

Last week the Bears went to Atlanta and took down the Falcons 31-23. That final score was closer than the game actually was. The Falcons offense looked terrible until they scored 16 in the final quarter. Williams was great in the game, completing 83% of his passes and throwing for one touchdown. The running game has continued to chew up yardage and find the end zone. The Falcons had one of the better rushing defenses in the game, so it was impressive for the Bears to continue winning in the trenches.

The Patriots have one of the better passing defenses in the league, and they have faced some talented quarterbacks. Their rushing defense is not as good as the Falcons', so the Bears shouldn't have any trouble there. Both teams want to run the ball, and the Bears are about the same on defense as the Patriots. Their passing defense is slightly worse than the Patriots as well. The weather should be nice, and I think both starters are looking to light up the scoreboard. Give me the over 50.5 in this one. I also think the Bears cover, but it will only be a sprinkle if I play it.

'Top Gun' star Tom Skerritt dead at 93

Tom Skerritt, best known for his roles in "Top Gun," "M*A*S*H," "Alien" and "Picket Fences" has died of natural causes. He was 93.

"We are heartbroken by his loss," Skerritt's family said in a statement to ӣ��Ƶ Digital. "While the world knew Tom through his remarkable acting career, we knew him for his humor, curiosity, wisdom, generosity and the love he brought into our lives. He cared deeply about imagination, creativity, storytelling, service, veterans, the natural world and helping others find and share their own voices."

They added, "We are incredibly grateful for the love and support being shown by his friends, colleagues, and fans. We ask for privacy as our family grieves. Information regarding a memorial will be shared at a later date."

Chiefs place Josh Simmons on IR, raising questions about his entire future in the NFL

The Kansas City Chiefs are placing left tackle Josh Simmons on injured reserve, the team announced. But the story runs deeper than a Super Bowl contender losing its starting left tackle for, most likely, the remainder of the season.

On Thursday, Chiefs Vice President of Sports Medicine and Performance Rich Burkholder told reporters that Simmons reported a leg issue on August 17, which the team determined was related to a bulging disc in his back. Burkholder said Simmons saw a specialist who recommended therapy instead of surgery.

Simmons has not played a down this season. He practiced in a limited capacity last week for the first time since reporting the injury to Burkholder. On Wednesday, the team listed him as a non-participant in practice for "back/non-injury personal reasons."

Burkholder said Simmons used the day to speak with his family before deciding it would be best to go on injured reserve. The designation requires Simmons to miss at least four games.

Put bluntly, skepticism about the Chiefs' version of events is warranted.

In August, reporters close to the team repeatedly reported that the injury was minor and that Simmons would return by Week 1. He didn't.

The next explanation was that the Chiefs had not placed him on injured reserve because they expected him to play within the first four weeks. He never did.

So what changed?

Burkholder says Simmons "plateaued" in his recovery. If so, head coach Andy Reid was unaware. On Monday, Reid said Simmons would continue to "ramp up" this week. On Wednesday morning, Reid did not include Simmons among the players who would not practice.

ONCE AGAIN, NO ONE KNOWS WHEN JOSH SIMMONS WILL RETURN — PERHAPS INCLUDING THE CHIEFS

The team's explanation is that Reid simply forgot to mention his starting left tackle's status.

Simmons' history adds another mysterious element to the situation. In fact, "mysterious" was the word ESPN NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler used to describe it last month.

Fowler's comment was notable because most other top national NFL reporters have avoided the story entirely. Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport host injury-related segments throughout the week on ESPN and NFL Network, yet neither has addressed the prolonged absence of Patrick Mahomes' starting left tackle. Meanwhile, they have provided countless updates on backup linebackers and kicker competitions.

"Mysterious" also describes Simmons' rookie season a year ago. He missed an entire month due to what the team called a "personal matter." ESPN reported at the time that members of the organization were unaware of why Simmons did not show up before a Week 6 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

In August, Sports Illustrated's Matt Verderame added that Simmons left the team the night before the game and that there was a period during which the team did not know his whereabouts. OutKick had heard the same and emailed Chiefs general manager Brett Veach for comment. He did not respond.

There were also questions about Simmons ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. Reports indicated that he had fully recovered from a patellar tendon injury but that some teams had taken him off their draft boards because of "character" concerns. Simmons fell to the final pick of the first round, where the Chiefs selected him 32nd overall.

The result: Simmons has played in just eight games over his first two NFL seasons.

Taken together, the lack of clarity surrounding his disappearance last season, the pre-draft reporting, and the conflicting expectations surrounding his current injury have naturally raised questions about his latest absence.

At the very least, it's fair to say Simmons has proven unreliable. Even the Chiefs appear unable to determine when, or if, he will play, as evidenced by their decision to wait more than two months after he initially reported the injury to place him on injured reserve.

At this point, no one can reasonably assume Simmons will return this season after he becomes eligible. Likewise, the Chiefs cannot go into another year with Simmons as their unquestioned starting left tackle.

Whether the issue is injuries, personal matters, character concerns, or some combination of the three, Simmons has proven that the Chiefs can't rely on him to fill one of the most important positions in football. His job is to protect Patrick Mahomes, the most valuable asset in the NFL.

There's nothing scary about Charley Hull!

Those of you who have been in this class since the beginning (nearly five years now!) know that I'm a horror movie buff. I love that stuff. I grew up watching scary movies with my mom.

In fact, she accidentally took me to a screening of Rob Zombie's Halloween II as a teenager, and the whole movie basically just turned out to be a bunch of sex scenes. We didn't talk for two days.

Anyway, I maintain that Halloween is the greatest horror movie of all time. It's certainly the best slasher movie out there. The theme song. The suspense. The ridiculous sequels and spin-offs. It's just perfect. The entire franchise is great, except the most recent movie, which was trash.

TV problems, anthem fatigue & NASCAR's red flag

So, here's the thing ...

A lot of folks say those embarrassing ratings are a sign that fans have "Pat McAfee fatigue." I disagree.

I think we have "alt-broadcast fatigue." WHY do we need multiple broadcasts of a game? I don't get it. You go to watch a college football game on ESPN nowadays, and you accidentally end up watching the "Skycast" view, which is just an announcer-less view of the game from a camera above the action. That's it.

WHY do we need that?!

Why do we need an "alt-cast"? Just give us the stupid game on the stupid channel and leave us alone. We don't need to hear what another group of analysts thinks of the game. We don't need to watch the game from their sideline perspective. We don't need a "Next-Gen" broadcast of all the stats nobody cares about.

Just let us watch the game! It ain't McAfee fatigue. It's streaming fatigue. That's it.

Don't believe me? Ask NASCAR!

Look at that number! Do you understand how bad that is? Sunday's NASCAR playoff race at Phoenix drew just 1.2 million viewers. That's unfathomably bad.

I wrote about it this morning and really got into the weeds. I won't do that here because we all have better things to do, but feel free to dive in.

Bottom line? NASCAR's top series has been on network TV all of seven times this year. Seven. That means the other 26 races have been on either cable, or streaming. That ain't gonna work.

Again, folks are tired of the extra nonsense. We've gone too far with streaming and alt-broadcasts. Simpler is better. NASCAR is now learning that the hard way.

Finally, on the way out, let's check in on the latest national anthem scandal on the hardwood:

I'd like to leave the class with a question today ...

Are y'all over the anthem stuff? I don't mean that in a bad way. I'm not saying it's not ridiculous behavior, because it is.

But do we really care how LeBron James acts before games? Is it really worth getting upset over LEBRON JAMES in 2026? Or at the insufferable WNBA girls? We know who they are. We know what they believe, and how they act.

Utah senior defensive lineman accused of rape, sharing videos of incident on social media

A senior on the Utah football team has been suspended after he was accused of rape.

Jamal Wallace, a defensive lineman, is currently under investigation amid the allegation – he also is accused of sharing videos of the incident on social media.

Wallace was arrested earlier this month on charges that include five misdemeanors.

"We were made aware of the situation with Jamal Wallace on Oct. 11, and he was immediately placed on an indefinite suspension from the program," Utah said in a statement. "We take these matters seriously. As this is a pending legal matter, we have no further comment at this time."

Multiple outlets say the woman said she was in an on-and-off relationship with Wallace, and on Oct. 9, they were discussing their relationship when he forced her to perform oral sex and have intercourse.

POLICE CALLED ON TWO MARYLAND STUDENT REPORTERS COVERING MIKE LOCKSLEY'S FIRING OUTSIDE FOOTBALL COMPLEX

Salt Lake City police then said they found videos of the incident on Wallace's phone. The woman claimed the videos were sent to five people via Snapchat. She also alleged Wallace physically assaulted her during the incident.

Wallace, who has denied assaulting the alleged victim, was released on $5,000 bail.

Supreme Court Justice Kagan warns some conservative rulings have been 'destructive of our democracy'

Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan suggested Tuesday that some recent decisions by her conservative colleagues have undermined democracy, while admitting at times they had also pushed back against the Trump administration.

Kagan took part in a discussion on recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions while speaking at Catholic University's Columbus School of Law. She specifically took issue with cases like Louisiana v. Callais, which ruled in a 6-3 decision that race-based gerrymandering of congressional districts was unconstitutional.

In her dissent, Kagan called the decision the "latest chapter in the majority's now-completed demolition of the Voting Rights Act" and she continued to criticize election and campaign finance decisions made by the court.

KAMALA HARRIS CALLS TO EXPAND SUPREME COURT, ADD STATES IF DEMS TAKE CONGRESS

"Part of the reason why the court got it wrong was a kind of lack of the appropriate concern or understanding of the consequences of their decisions," Kagan said, according to NBC News.

She went on to warn that decisions that undermined voters' ability to choose their candidates were "very destructive of our democracy."

"I do think in all these areas the court has blinded itself to the very deleterious effects of their rulings on how the political system works and has created a democracy that doesn't work as well as it should," Kagan said.

SUPREME COURT CHIEF JUSTICE PINPOINTS WHAT AMERICANS MISUNDERSTAND ABOUT HIM AND HIS COLLEAGUES

She also criticized the conservative view of originalism in the Supreme Court, calling it "misconceived" and "not a very good match with the Constitution we have."

Kagan claimed that these and other decisions have contributed to the country becoming more "polarized," particularly around campaign finance.

"I think you know the people of America look around this political system and think that all this money, chasing all these political candidates, is a nightmare, and they're right," she said.

CONSERVATIVE GROUPS SAY JUSTICE KAGAN CANNOT BE IMPARTIAL IN UPCOMING SUPREME COURT CLIMATE LITIGATION

However, Kagan stopped short of accusing the court of being beholden to President Donald Trump, pointing out several cases where even conservative justices "definitely pushed back" on his agenda. Trump nominated three of the current justices on the court in Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett.

In a comment to ӣ��Ƶ Digital, Heritage Foundation Senior Legal Fellow of Courts and the Constitution Zack Smith denounced Kagan and what he characterized as far-left politicians' efforts to delegitimize SCOTUS decisions.

"The job of the Court is not to play politics with its decisions. Instead, its job is to faithfully apply the Constitution and other laws as they are written. Justice Kagan has disagreed with the majority of her colleagues in some of those decisions, but that doesn't mean they are illegitimate or even wrongly decided," Smith said.

In a viral exchange this week, Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper and actress Sophia Bush offered young women a familiar piece of relationship advice: If you're questioning whether to leave your marriage because you fear you won't find someone better, the answer is always yes.

Bush went further, suggesting that the fear of being too old or unreasonable for wanting more is a product of the patriarchy.

Cooper built her brand largely by celebrating sexual experimentation, including encouraging young women to engage in highly explicit sexual experimentation early in dating. This is the same podcast Kamala Harris joined prior to the 2024 election, but I digress.

These are the voices our culture elevates as influential guides for young women. But enough about the who. Let's examine the what.

The exchange reveals a worldview in which something better is always waiting. That personal and fleeting dissatisfaction is sufficient reason to abandon a commitment, and that the pursuit of more is interchangeable with empowerment.

More what, exactly?

More excitement? More affirmation? More freedom? Another relationship that will inevitably encounter the same imperfections as the last?

At what point do we consider whether the relentless pursuit of more is precisely what leaves us feeling we have less?

If that were true, we would certainly see it in society. But instead, what was promised as empowerment has delivered emptiness.

Despite constant technological connectivity, loneliness and social isolation remain pervasive. Anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation are serious concerns, particularly among younger generations. These problems have many causes, and attributing them all to feminism would be intellectually dishonest. But ignoring the possibility that our prevailing philosophy has failed to deliver its promised fulfillment would be equally foolish.

We’ve spent decades dismantling the institutions that tether individuals to one another, only to discover that autonomy is a poor substitute for belonging.

Perhaps most tragically, we’ve taught women to regard sacrifice as oppression rather than an indispensable part of love.

Consider the contradiction.

A woman who sacrifices her time, energy, and health to climb the corporate ladder is celebrated as ambitious. A woman making comparable sacrifices for her husband and children is too often regarded as having surrendered her potential to the patriarchy. Why?

I am profoundly grateful for the opportunities women have today. I’ve competed as a collegiate athlete, traveled the country, built a career, and achieved things my younger self could never have imagined. But no professional accolade, public recognition, or personal achievement has given me the satisfaction and purpose I’ve found in marriage and motherhood.

They require more of me than anything I've ever done (even a 200-yard butterfly). It's hard. But "hard" and "bad" are not synonymous.

Motherhood fundamentally changed my understanding of success. There's something remarkably clarifying about being needed by someone who has nothing to offer you in return except themselves.

I don't view it as a limitation on my freedom, but instead a revelation of what my freedom is for.

Which brings me back to Cooper, who just welcomed her first child with her husband.

I genuinely congratulate her. But there's irony in continuing to promote perpetual self-prioritization through meaningless hookups and "girl-bossing" while building a life rooted in the very institutions modern feminism so often characterizes as oppressive.

Perhaps motherhood will offer her the same perspective it offered me: that the deepest fulfillment isn't found in putting yourself first, but in loving someone enough to put them first.

Of course, marriage and motherhood aren't the only paths to meaning. Women who are single, childless, or unable to have children are no less valuable. Purpose takes countless forms, but lasting meaning generally requires looking beyond ourselves.

This is hardly a novel insight. Christianity has taught for centuries that a life centered exclusively on the self is ultimately impoverished. Love is not merely a feeling to be pursued while convenient. It is a commitment expressed through action, fidelity, humility, and sacrifice.

Our culture treats these virtues as antiquated burdens, then wonders why so many feel unmoored.

Cooper and Bush's advice is troubling because it reduces marriage to personal optimization. Marriage becomes less a covenant to honor than an arrangement to continually reassess against hypothetical alternatives.

There are legitimate reasons marriages end, including abuse and betrayal. But reflexively encouraging people to search for something better without acknowledging the responsibilities of commitment isn't teaching empowerment like the self-proclaimed feminists like to claim. It teaches disposability.

A generation encouraged to keep every option open may eventually discover that life's most meaningful commitments require closing certain doors.

Choosing a spouse. Raising children. Building a family. Practicing faith. Serving a community. Creating something that will endure long after your own ambitions have faded.

Like everything associated with risk, these commitments impose limits, but I’ve found they also give life its depth.

Women deserve more than the hollow assurance that happiness is perpetually waiting in the next relationship, promotion, or reinvention of themselves. They deserve to know that fulfillment isn't always found in acquiring more and finding someone that validates your every desire. Often, it's found in giving more.

The great lie of modern empowerment isn't that women are capable of extraordinary things. It's that a life devoted primarily to ourselves is the most extraordinary thing we can aspire to.

We should stop telling women that the ultimate goal is to have everything and start reminding them of the beauty of having something worth giving everything for.

Supreme Court justice turns on her own court with dire warning about American democracy

Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan made the case that recent rulings from the conservative-majority high court are destabilizing democracy, suggesting that it isn't working "as well as it should."

The remarks from the liberal justice came during a closed discussion before faculty and students at Catholic University's law school in Washington, D.C.

The discussion between Kagan and law professor Joel Alicea Alicia, who previously clerked for Justice Samuel Alito, comes just weeks after the Supreme Court began its new term, during which it's expected to rule in major cases that will determine the scope of gun rights and state election integrity laws, among other issues.

The conversation also comes less than two weeks before the midterm elections as President Donald Trump and Republican state lawmakers have pushed for new congressional maps drawn to favor Republicans and bolster their chances of maintaining control of the House. Democratic-led states have responded by redrawing their own maps, fueling ongoing lawsuits and court battles.

SUPREME COURT KICKS OFF NEW TERM WITH FRESH QUESTIONS OVER ITS LEGITIMACY AND ITS FUTURE

Kagan pointed to the Supreme Court’s 2019 ruling in Rucho v. Common Cause, in which she dissented, as the beginning of a "race to the bottom." She argued that the decision, which barred federal courts from invalidating maps solely because they unfairly favor one political party, deprived "masses of citizens" of their "rights to voting equality."

Kagan suggested that the influx of gerrymandered maps is "driving people away from the center toward the wings, toward the extremes.

"Making what I think is, unfortunately, a too polarized country even more so," Kagan said.

Kagan also criticized rulings from the previous term, including the court’s decision limiting campaign finance restrictions and its ruling that made it more difficult to draw majority-minority congressional districts under the Voting Rights Act.

"Part of the reason why the court got it wrong was a kind of lack of the appropriate concern or understanding of the consequences of their decisions," Kagan said.

"I do think in all these areas the court has blinded itself to the very deleterious effects of their rulings on how the political system works and has created a democracy that doesn’t work as well as it should."

Last term, the Supreme Court struck down federal limits on how much state and national political parties could spend in coordination with their candidates.

Meanwhile, Kagan argued in dissent that the limits were necessary to prevent wealthy donors from working around direct contribution caps and that striking them down effectively allowed a political party to become an "alternative checking account" for a candidate.

"The people of America look around this political system and think that all this money chasing all these political candidates is a nightmare," Kagan said. "And they’re right."

Kagan, who was appointed to the court by President Barack Obama in 2010, argued that it was in a much better position when there was greater ideological balance.

"There was a period of time where the court was in a better place, and the country was in a better place because the court was more balanced, and it was unclear whether the court could push through anybody’s program."

"Nobody in America thought that the court was in the pocket of any one group or any one party," she said. "And the court had a kind of legitimacy. When the court has a legitimacy of that kind, it helps to create a stable country."

However, Kagan pushed back against the characterization that the conservative-leaning court simply rubber-stamped Trump's entire agenda. She pointed to previous rulings by the high court rejecting birthright citizenship restrictions, tariffs and Trump's restrictions on mail-in voting.

"It’s why the president sometimes really has not very nice things to say about the court’s decisions and some of my colleagues," Kagan said.

Ilhan Omar says she lives 'paycheck to paycheck' as DOJ probes financial disclosures

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., described herself as a member of the "working class" who lives "paycheck to paycheck" during an interview with MS NOW host Chris Hayes on Wednesday night.

"I mean, it’s, you know, working — working class, I guess, like paycheck to paycheck still," Omar said. "We’ve got four kids, and we live, I think, like a basic life. I have a Toyota Camry that’s from 2016."

Omar's characterization of her finances comes despite her $174,000 annual congressional salary and scrutiny over financial disclosures that once listed assets tied to her husband as being worth as much as $30 million.

The comments came during Omar’s first public appearance since Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents searched her Washington, D.C., residence on Oct. 12 as part of an investigation into possible immigration-related offenses.

Since the raid, the representative has used the investigation twice as a reason to publicly fundraise.

"We know that they’re running scared. We’re not going to be intimidated. We’re not going to be silenced."

The Democratic National Committee has also sent out its own fundraising email based on Omar’s campaign request for money.

"It’s Ilhan Omar — Trump’s DHS agents just carried out a raid and search of my home," the email says. "This is a drastic escalation of the ludicrous, partisan investigation that they launched into my immigration status."

Omar also acknowledged during the MS NOW interview that the federal agents who searched her home were "polite" and left the property in good condition, even folding some of her clothes.

"When they left, what did you do?" Hayes asked Omar.

"I just went back around the house just trying to make sure everything was put back," Omar replied. "And they did a really good job in putting everything back in its place. They actually even folded some of my clothing that [was] not folded. So it was … a very bizarre [situation]."

The Minnesota Democrat added that she thought the HSI agents who raided her home were "intrusive, but polite."

"And yeah, they, they left the house, I think, you know, in good shape," she told MS NOW.

Omar claimed during the interview that the federal agents were searching her house for four to five hours. She added that they left the raid with more than a dozen items, including notebooks and a children’s Somali-language phrasebook.

"[That] was why I was surprised when they handed me the receipt for the items that they take in, to do that long of a search and to walk away with 17 items, of like 10 that were just notebooks and, like, old phones. Was such a bizarre, bizarre thing," Omar said.

A separate Justice Department investigation is examining Omar’s financial disclosures, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said during an appearance on ӣ��Ƶ’ "America Reports."

The disclosures previously showed that the reported value of two businesses tied to Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, rose from as much as $51,000 in 2023 to as much as $30 million in 2024, according to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky.

Omar later amended the filing, saying the original figures were the result of an accounting error. The amended disclosure listed the couple’s assets at between $18,004 and $95,000. Omar has denied wrongdoing, and no criminal charges have been filed against her in connection with the disclosures.

Mynett’s businesses include eStCru, a winery, and Rose Lake Capital, an investment firm. The winery has reportedly shut down.

"First of all, not only was there a huge discrepancy in the financial disclosure form, there was the winery that was the big base of her $25 million listing on her financial disclosure form," Comer said. "That winery has, according to the press, been shut down because of fraud."

In a February letter to Mynett, Comer noted that Omar’s 2023 disclosure listed her stake in eStCru as being worth between $15,001 and $50,000.

"The following year, her financial disclosure form listed a stake in eStCru ‘worth between $1,000,001 and $5,000,000,’" Comer wrote. "There are serious public concerns about how your businesses increased so dramatically in value only a year after reporting very limited assets."

A rank-and-file House member’s annual salary is $174,000. Jack Osbourne says doctors warned Ozzy not to perform final concert just 17 days before his death

Jack Osbourne is reflecting on the weeks leading up to his father Ozzy Osbourne's death, revealing the stark warning doctors gave the rock legend before his final performance.

During an appearance on "Great Company with Jamie Laing," Jack recalled how doctors urged the Black Sabbath frontman not to take the stage at his farewell concert due to serious health concerns.

"They basically were just saying like you've got so many things going on," Jack explained. "We recommend you don't do this because the energy expenditure."

Jack revealed that his father had been dealing with multiple medical complications leading up to the show.

For the closing set, according to a photo posted on X and various videos, the legendary rocker was lifted onto the stage while seated on a black throne adorned with skulls and topped with a black bat. He performed hits including "Crazy Train" and "Mama I'm Coming Home" while remaining seated throughout the set.

"He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."

Ozzy's death certificate listed cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease.

Jack's emotional reflections come as his mother, Sharon Osbourne, has also opened up about the final moments she shared with her husband of 43 years.

During an appearance on "Piers Morgan Uncensored," Sharon, 73, broke down in tears as she recalled her last conversation with the rock legend.

Sharon explained that Ozzy had been "up and down" throughout the night before waking her around 4:30 a.m.

"He said, 'Wake up' and [I said] 'I'm already bloody awake, you've woken me up,'" Sharon remembered. "And he said, 'Kiss me.' And then he said, 'Hug me tight.'"

Sharon emotionally confirmed that those were the last words her husband said to her before he died later that morning.

The former "The Talk" host explained that Ozzy would often wake up early to exercise and had followed his usual routine on the day of his death.

"He went downstairs and worked out for 20 minutes and passed away," she said.

Sharon recalled hearing "screaming" inside their home before rushing downstairs and discovering that attempts were being made to revive her husband.

"They were trying to resuscitate him and I'm like 'Don't. Leave him. Leave him. You can't. He's gone.' I knew instantly he's gone," she recalled.

"And they tried and tried and then they took him by helicopter to the hospital and they tried and it's like, 'He's gone. Just leave him.'"

Sharon admitted that her grief following Ozzy's death was so overwhelming that she "couldn't function." She also struggled with regrets about their final exchange.

The Patriots and Bears come into this game with identical records and identical goals. Last season, the Patriots fell just a bit short. They made it to the Super Bowl, but they ultimately lost. The Bears made it past the Packers, but they lost to the Rams in the next round of the playoffs and couldn’t make it to the NFC Championship Game.

The Patriots have had an odd start to their year. They are 4-2, but it wasn’t a very positive outlook even a couple of weeks ago. They started the year looking terrible against the Seahawks, unable to move the ball. They dismantled the Steelers in Week 2, but then lost on the road to Jacksonville.

The next week, it was all down the tube as they got nothing going against the Vikings' defense. They lost 9-3 and lost Caleb Williams in the same game. The weather was bad, but not bad enough to justify the terrible play.

Over the past four weeks, they beat the Eagles and Jets in back-to-back games before getting routed by the Packers on the road. Last week, the team looked elite once again as Williams returned under center. They scored 31 points, but they almost gave up their big lead, with the Falcons getting 23 points, most of it late in the game.

Team USA star Brady Tkachuk endures 'you eat crayons' taunt in wild return to Canada

Ever since Brady Tkachuk asked the Ottawa Senators for a trade and they shipped him to the division rival Florida Panthers, everyone has had Tuesday night's game in the Canadian capital marked on their "Far Side" desk calendars.

At least I did, and boy, was it wild.

Tkachuk had been the franchise centerpiece in Ottawa, but things started to change after he and the U.S. men's hockey team won Olympic gold over Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.

Remember that? Remember when the U.S. beat Canada for Olympic gold? It was great.

Anyway, that led to repeated questions about his commitment to the franchise. By the summer, that commitment was no more as he asked for a ticket out and landed in South Florida with his brother, Matthew.

Now, Sens fans were understandably perturbed by this as the club is without a doubt on the rise, and boy, did they make their displeasure known.

I mean, if there are supercuts of the various chants a crowd hurls at a former player, then I think it's safe to say that the current relationship is frosty at best.

I've got to hand it to them; they were creative. I never thought I'd hear an NHL arena chanting "You eat crayons," but I just did.

But Tkachuk, who has been on a heater lately that included back-to-back natural hat tricks, didn't let those chants get under his skin. For starters, he scored the opening goal of the game.

The only downside was that the Senators scored the next five to win 5-1.

But there were more hilarious moments, the biggest being Tkachuk's full-on heel turn when the team showed a tribute video that got mercilessly booed by the crowd.

While most NHLers would try to downplay it with a quick, subtle wave or nod, Tkachuk did a full victory lap like he was returning after 1,400 games in the league.

That's an all-timer. Even the angriest Senators fan had to be like, "Alright, that was pretty funny."

Tkachuk also got into it with his former teammates like Ridley Greig.

Then, as if all of that wasn't enough, Sens fans started raining down their old Tkachuk jerseys.

What a scene. You don't see too many returns go down like that. But if Tkachuk was rattled by it, he sure didn't let it show during his postgame interview.

You've got to think that Tkachuk is going to hear something like this any time he steps on the Canadian Tire Centre ice for the rest of his career. Also, probably best to steer clear of any Ottawa area restaurants.

Ilhan Omar is not the Minnesota congresswoman’s 'real name': sources

Ilhan Omar is not the "real name" of the Minnesota congresswoman, ӣ��Ƶ Digital has learned.

Her real name is Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, according to two people familiar with the ongoing investigation into the Somali-born congresswoman, including a law enforcement source.

And if proven in court that Omar has lived her "entire life under an alias," a former Minnesota federal immigration judge tells ӣ��Ƶ Digital that every single form she ever filled out could be "called into question."

On Wednesday, U.S. District Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro filed a motion seeking to prevent the federal search warrant for the congresswoman’s home from being unsealed, which was requested by several media outlets. The motion says the federal government is not yet finished executing the search warrant, and that it shouldn’t be unsealed yet.

"Before the Court are three Applications to unseal ex parte materials and proceedings related to a federal search warrant for the personal residence in the District of Columbia of Congresswoman Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar…" the motion begins.

"That's not her real name," one source said when asked why the motion used the "a/k/a Ilhan Adbullahi Omar" language.

ӣ��Ƶ Digital first reported in the midst of the search of the lawmaker's Washington, D.C. residence that federal investigators are probing whether she or her father committed fraud when filling out her immigration paperwork.

Investigators obtained the elected official’s DNA and seized her personal phone and passport during the Oct. 12 pre-dawn raid.

FEDERAL AGENTS SEIZE PHONE OF REP ILHAN OMAR IN RAID TIED TO IMMIGRATION FRAUD PROBE

Omar’s sister, Sahra Noor, was questioned by federal investigators last week in relation to the probe, ӣ��Ƶ Digital exclusively reported.

Conservative personality Will Chamberlain first posted the motion on X speculating that the "DOJ believes [Omar] is present in the United States under a false identity."

ӣ��Ƶ Digital has now learned from multiple sources familiar with the investigation that Omar is not the congresswoman’s birth name.

REP ILHAN OMAR'S IMMIGRATION HISTORY FACES NEW SCRUTINY AS FEDERAL INVESTIGATORS SUBPOENA RELATIVES

Omar has publicly confirmed that she does not have a birth certificate.

In an official U.S. House biography, her birthday is listed as Oct. 14, 1982, and states that she was born in Mogadishu, Somalia. She says she came to the U.S. with her family as refugees fleeing war-torn Somalia in 1995, when she was a minor.

Omar has not been charged with a crime, and materials presented by prosecutors are only allegations.

Attorneys for the embattled congresswoman did not return ӣ��Ƶ Digital's request for comment.

Nathan Hansen, a former federal immigration judge from Minnesota, listed the extent to which the supposed name change could impact the case against the congresswoman.

"You think of all the types of documents somebody like her might have filled out," he said. "There'd be federal student loan and student aid applications, maybe federal housing related applications, maybe public assistance applications, passport applications, passport information and driver's license information, Real I.D. information [and] voting information."

He said if someone has lived their entire lives under an alias, there are many criminal charges that could be levied.

"Sometimes they might say that that would be a wire fraud charge, they always add that one," said Hansen. "And that's pretty broad. But, you know, a lot of these documents are sworn under penalty of perjury."

"If this is not, like, a real legal name, it's got some legal backing to it that every type of government form she's filled out in her entire existence might be called into question," Hansen said.

The representative for Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District in the U.S. House, has long faced allegations that she married her brother for immigration purposes.

In 2009, she legally married a man named Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. The pair split in 2017. The following year, she was elected to Congress. In 2020, she married her third husband, political consultant Tim Mynett.

In Omar's first public interview since the raid on her home, she sat down with MS NOW’s Chris Hayes. During that interview, she once again denied those allegations, calling them "insane."

"You’re not related to him at all?" Hayes asked. "There’s not some weird kernel of truth…?"

"Not to my knowledge," she replied.

In the wake of the raid, Omar has accused President Donald Trump and his administration of targeting her politically.

"This raid by Trump’s DHS is an outrageous abuse of power and an unprecedented escalation in the weaponization of federal law enforcement to target political enemies," she said in a statement on X.

"For a decade, Donald Trump has relentlessly targeted Congresswoman Ilhan Omar with inflammatory rhetoric, repeatedly putting a target on her back," the post continued. "Now, those attacks have escalated to a pointless federal raid. The Congresswoman has done nothing wrong. No president should be able to use the power of the federal government to intimidate his political enemies."
