WATCH: Robert De Niro brushes off 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' label hurled by critics

FIRST ON FOX: Actor Robert De Niro was in the nation's capital Wednesday sitting in the same crowded courtroom as President Donald Trump and some of his closest advisors during oral arguments by the Supreme Court about birthright citizenship.

ӣ��Ƶ Digital caught up with De Niro as he was exiting the courthouse, but De Niro said he did not have any perspective on how the arguments went.

"I'm waiting to get a, getting a – I'm not sure because I could hear, but not hear. It's complicated. So, I can't say," De Niro responded when asked about the oral arguments he had just witnessed before the high court.

De Niro described the Trump administration's argument on the matter — that children born to parents who are in the United States illegally or temporarily are not American citizens — as a way for Republicans to "get rid of people they don't want."

"It's that simple," De Niro said.

The actor and activist, who spoke at a "No Kings" protest in New York City over the weekend, has been criticized for his anti-Trump rhetoric. He has called the president "a piece of s---," a "nasty little b----," a "petulant little punk," has said he'd "like to punch him in the face" and declared Trump an "enemy" of the United States.

When asked about claims he has "Trump Derangement Syndrome," sometimes referred to by the acronym "TDS," De Niro called it "nonsense."

"People don't like him for a reason," De Niro shot back. "All the terrible things he's done. If he did nice things, then he could have, he had the chance — he became president — to do nice things, not hateful, retribution, not just, outright mean things. If he did nice things, people would love him. But he's got a problem. He's damaged."

Asked what specifically bothered him about Trump, De Niro said "everything."

"Everything that we all know now," De Niro added.

Reporting from Wednesday indicated the Supreme Court appeared ready to reject Trump's argument on birthright citizenship. The arguments reportedly lasted over two hours, and, in addition to Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi was present, as was Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

De Niro reportedly sat in seats reserved for the justices' guests, according to The Associated Press.

"When the crowds are chanting ‘No Kings,’ what I'm really hearing – as we all know – is ‘No Trump.’ There have been other presidents who have tested the constitutional limits of their power, but none have been such an existential threat to our freedoms and security — none — except Trump," De Niro told supporters at the No Kings rally he attended over the weekend.

"He must be stopped, and he must be stopped now," De Niro added, calling members of Trump's Cabinet "goons."

I'll let you in on a little secret: In the performing arts, the most annoying people are puppeteers. This is because they make you look at their absurd creation of papier-mâché and then make you pretend it's the most important thing you have ever seen.

This is precisely what the "No Kings" protesters who take to American streets every few months represent. Even the ones holding insulting and crude signs instead of puppets demand to be taken seriously when they are anything but.

The very name of these protests is a farcical facade, a false mask of faux outrage, because President Donald Trump is not a king. It is an argument absurd on its face, because, trust me, if Trump were king, the GOP Senate would have broken the filibuster and passed the Save America Act by now.

If Trump were king, every Immigration Customs and Enforcement civilian worker would have been paid over the last month, instead of pinching pennies.

How about the congresswoman from Somalia, I’m sorry, Minneapolis, Ilhan Omar? This was her oddball take: "I could have never imagined the day would come when we were staring down at this kind of creeping authoritarianism."

This, of course, assumes that there is room in the dustbin of history next to Walz’s own political career, which was destroyed when he let his beloved Somali fraudsters steal billions from taxpayers.

Let’s get back to this idea of puppets for a moment, because the No Kings protesters no longer just hold puppets, often of Trump doing something disgusting. They have literally now transformed into the puppets themselves.

The inflatable frog costume made fashionable in violent Portland anti-ICE riots, and a nod to the furry sexual fetish, have now become ubiquitous at No Kings rallies. The message of the costume is "How can something so silly and fun be dangerous?"

The rather obvious answer to that question is that when Democrats and the Left act like petulant children and refuse to fully fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement, innocent Americans like Loyola University student Sheridan Gorman are murdered by illegal immigrants.

You never see any sad inflatable frogs at the funerals of our fallen.

In the end, everything about these No Kings protests is fake. Everything is a mask, everything is a puppet, because the central claim, that we are ruled by King Donald, isn’t just hyperbolic, it is divorced from reality.

Sadly, notwithstanding the fictional nature of the central complaint of the No Kings protests, the Left does understand the value of big, in-person crowds, and they will continue to not just garner biased national media attention, but will also fire up the Democrats’ base.

This is why the news that the Republicans are moving closer to a midterm convention, with reports homing in on Dallas as a location, is welcome for conservatives.

Though it is not in their nature, conservatives must have a greater footprint on the streets, and a convention is the perfect way to achieve that.

Actor Robert De Niro got teary-eyed on Monday as he expressed worry over the fate of America under President Donald Trump, calling on people to resist his administration.

MS NOW host Nicolle Wallace said during her podcast, "The Best People," that De Niro, one of Trump’s most outspoken celebrity critics, plays a big role in New York City’s identity. After accusing Trump officials of not respecting many of America’s law enforcement institutions, she asked the 82-year-old actor what he worries about for New York under the ongoing Trump administration.

De Niro voiced concern that there would be a campaign of retribution against the people of New York, such as sending in ICE agents.

"People have to resist, resist, resist, resist, resist. That's the only way. There's no magic. There's no nothing – people are not going to go away, even if Trump dies for some reason by having an illness or something," he warned. "Parts of that movement are still there, and that's the scary part. It has to be neutralized by the people."

He continued, "And look what we have. Look who we have there. It's almost like our destiny to have this thing they're destroying — attempting to destroy this country and maybe not even understanding why. So it's up to us to protect the country."

You know, there's a time when you know in your own life and your own survival, you better do this, you better jump and run through the fire. Because if you don't run through the fire, you're not getting out, and that's what we have to do."

Actor Robert De Niro said during a Monday interview that President Donald Trump would "never leave" office and that it was up to "us to get rid of him."

MS NOW host Nicolle Wallace said during her podcast, "The Best People," "I wonder what it is about people's inability to see beyond the next three — he's gone in three years."

"Well, he will never leave. We have to make him leave. You see, he jokes now about nationalizing the elections — he's not joking. We've seen enough already. And everybody's worried about it, but he means it," De Niro said.

Several liberal media figures and lawmakers have similarly argued that Trump would not leave office at the end of his term.

"You start hearing it all over now," the actor said. "It's up to you. Damn right, it's about the people. The people got — like Vietnam. You got to get out there and protest. The ‘No Kings’ coming. It's got to be not 7, 8, 9 million. It's got to be way, way more than that."

The White House did not immediately return ӣ��Ƶ Digital's request for comment.

Comedian Rob Schneider defended free speech during a Turning Point USA event at UC Berkeley. While speaking to students, he recalled a tense but civil exchange with fellow actor Robert De Niro – a memory he says shows the power of responding with love instead of anger.

Schneider’s call for "loving people who are your enemy" followed brawls outside the venue, where protesters fought near the conservative student gathering. He said he was told protesters used tear gas and tried to mimic gunfire.

"These people, preventing people from talking and preventing people from getting in, these were the ‘anti-fascists,’" said Schneider on "Fox & Friends" Wednesday.

"The Turning Point USA students from Berkeley wanting to have peaceful discourse, peaceful debate, conversations, talking about how much they love God, family and country… these people were called the fascists," he added.

Robert De Niro’s grandson’s overdose death leads to five arrests

Authorities have arrested five additional people in the overdose death of Robert De Niro's grandson, the Drug Enforcement Administration confirmed to ӣ��Ƶ Digital.

Grant McIver, Bruce Epperson, Eddie Barreto, John Nicolas and Roy Nicolas are accused of running a fentanyl distribution ring, according to court documents obtained by ӣ��Ƶ Digital. The group allegedly sold counterfeit "M30" pills to teenagers using social media, leading to the deaths of three teens in 2023.

Leandro De Niro Rodriguez was found dead July 2, 2023, in a Manhattan apartment. He was sold three fentanyl pills and one Xanax pill the day before, according to the court documents.

McIver, Baretto and Epperson allegedly supplied the drugs that led to De Niro Rodriguez's overdose.

WOMAN TIED TO SUSPECTED FENTANYL DEATH OF ROBERT DE NIRO'S GRANDSON ARRESTED

Sophia Haley Marks, 20, was previously charged in 2023 after allegedly directly selling De Niro Rodriguez counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl.

Marks reportedly had warned the teen that the drugs were dangerous during the sale.

The same crew also reportedly provided the drugs sold to Blondie founder Chris Stein's daughter, Akira Stein.

Akira overdosed twice on pills allegedly sold to her by John and Roy, the court docs stated.

The men were aware of at least one of Akira's overdose incidents before selling her pills again on or about May 29, 2023. She was found dead May 30, 2023, inside the bathroom of her family's apartment in downtown Manhattan, records show.

The former police officer, who went on to become Whitney Houston’s bodyguard, has written a memoir, "Protecting Whitney." It details how Welsh-born Roberts looked after the singer before their friendship came to an abrupt end.

Roberts was hired in 1988 for the superstar’s UK portion of the "Moment of Truth" world tour. He told ӣ��Ƶ Digital that Houston had one famous fan who made his adoration well known – Robert De Niro.

According to Roberts’ book, De Niro was "not an individual used to taking no for an answer." However, the "Raging Bull" star was no match for Houston’s mother, singer Cissy Houston.

At the time, according to Roberts’ book, Houston was dating Eddie Murphy.

A spokesperson for De Niro, now 81, didn't immediately respond to ӣ��Ƶ Digital's request for comment about Roberts' claims.

Houston herself once recalled how the Oscar winner attempted to win her over. During an appearance on "The Byron Allen Show" in 1990, she described how De Niro followed her "all the way to London."

He called me the night at Carnegie Hall. He did. He called backstage and wanted to talk to me that night. . . . He called me that night."

"He was a little bit shy, so he didn’t want to come to the show because he shies away from the public eye," she gushed. "But . . . he sent me some flowers and stuff, and he wanted to get to know me better. . . . [But] he’s going with Toukie Smith."

At the time, Houston claimed that De Niro wanted to "do a movie with her."

"It’s a really good script, and I’m looking at it," she said. "I think he’s a wonderful actor. One of the best."

There was another Bobby who did make Houston swoon – Bobby Brown. In his book, Roberts admitted that he had hoped Houston’s romance with the bad boy artist would end as quickly as it started.

"I wasn’t alone in my view," Roberts told ӣ��Ƶ Digital. "Bobby came from one element, Whitney came from another… you would never think that they could ever come together successfully."

"He could not come up to her standards. . . . So she went down to his standards to make him feel comfortable in her environment," he claimed. "But when you looked at them, you couldn’t help but think, ‘These two people don’t belong together, do they?’"

Houston met the ex-boy band member at the 1989 Soul Train Music Awards. They went on to marry in 1992. The union was tumultuous, and Brown was widely blamed by the press for introducing Houston to drugs. He denied the allegations in his 1997 memoir.

Brown later insisted that Houston was not the squeaky-clean pop princess she was made out to be.

Roberts claimed in his book that Houston was trying to keep up with Brown’s bad habits.

"In the seven and a half plus years that I was with Whitney, I never, ever saw her [with] any form of drugs at all, unless you consider a Heineken and a cigarette as a narcotic," said Roberts. "She was never affected by [them] in my presence. However, when Mr. Brown came into the scenario, the use of alcohol, in particular, became more profound, and that was self-evident."

"We were on tour in Europe and every two days, the management team would drop two crates of Heineken and a bottle of brandy, or whatever it was, in the room, and two days later she’d be too ill to come out," Roberts claimed. "And that was the touring scenario, and that was . . . bringing her down, in everybody’s view. It was not complimenting her. It was not helping her."

Brown and Houston welcomed a daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, in 1993. However, the marriage was plagued with problems as the couple battled their own demons.

During the marriage, Brown was arrested on drug and alcohol charges, while Houston entered rehab on two occasions, Biography.com reported. According to the outlet, Brown was arrested in 2003 for allegedly striking Houston. She supported him in court, and he wasn’t convicted. The singer denied ever hitting her.

The pair separated in 2006, and their divorce was finalized in 2007. But Houston continued to be plagued by addiction. Her famous voice deteriorated through the years due to cocaine use, The New York Times reported.

Brown quit hard drugs while he was incarcerated in 2000, but he continued to struggle with alcohol addiction throughout the years. He last spent time at a treatment facility for alcohol abuse in 2020. In 2022, Brown, now 55, told ӣ��Ƶ Digital that he is sober.

Roberts believed that those within Houston’s circle, even after her divorce, turned a blind eye to her drug use.

"I was angry," he said. "The lady was hurting. She needed help. And those people who were in a significantly better position than I was to help her denied it to her. They denied it, in my opinion, because they were selfish and self-centered.

"This was a young lady whose voice box paid their mortgages. No way were they going to stop that… It was obvious that drugs were impacting her. . . . She was losing control of normalcy. She was falling under the pressure of what everybody wanted . . . what the entertainment industry wanted."

"It was a lot of pressure for a young lady to bear," Roberts shared. "She was a mother and wife who seldom saw her husband . . . it became unbearable for her. . . . How she broke was inevitable."

Roberts stopped serving as Houston’s bodyguard in 1995.

"I got a call," said Roberts. "I was told, ‘Houston is not considering any more international travel . . . . If she changes her mind, we’ll let you know.’ I think that was probably the greatest, ‘Thank you, and you’re fired.’"

Houston passed away in 2012 at age 48. She was found submerged in the bathtub of her hotel room a day before the Grammys. She died from drowning and the effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.

Roberts said he was heartbroken to hear of Houston's death, but wasn't surprised.

"We were all to blame – it’s just a question of degrees," said Roberts. "Those who could have done something immediately, those who could have done something in support, and those who could have done something later. But we did nothing. We just let it go.

"It’s the culture – once you leave the environment, it’s like you never existed. You were never there. . . . But I just remember seeing her emaciated, trying to carry on and perform on stage. You can’t help but think, ‘How could she look like that and still be alive?’ It was painful."

Roberts said that over the years, he felt guilty for not speaking out when he suspected Houston was spiraling. He now hopes his story will serve as a cautionary tale.

"I remain angry," he said. "That's why I'm speaking out now. I consider the entire scenario a failure of mine . . . I was paid to protect her. There was an anger in me, but writing this book was cathartic. . . . Still, she should be alive now, and we should be listening to her songs."

Former Secretary of State John Kerry, Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, D-Pa., and Michael Embrich, the former policy adviser to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs' Advisory Committee also attended. Embrich snapped a picture of De Niro speaking to Eagles fans. De Niro read from a piece of paper and touted Harris’ campaign platform.

The New York native played Bradley Cooper’s on-screen father and an Eagles fan in the movie "Silver Linings Playbook." He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for the role.

The Harris campaign has been on a full-court press in Pennsylvania just days before most voters go to the polls to make their selections for president of the United States. The Democratic National Committee flew banners over Lincoln Financial Field in support of Harris during games, while former President Trump’s campaign aired ads during Eagles games.

A ӣ��Ƶ Poll on Wednesday showed Harris and Trump tied among likely voters in the expanded ballot with 48% each, while just 3% say they are supporting a third party in Pennsylvania. In September, Trump had a 1-point edge over Harris and 4% favored someone else.

In the two-way matchup among likely voters, Trump is up by 1 point (50% to 49% Harris).

Among registered voters, however, Harris is up two points in both the expanded ballot and two-way head-to-head. All the results among registered and likely voters are within the margin of error.

Trump beat Hillary Clinton by less than a point in 2016, while President Joe Biden won Pennsylvania in 2020 by just over one point.

De Niro has been staunchly anti-Trump since the business mogul ran for president in 2015.

At the New York premiere for "Megalopolis," De Niro was concerned about Trump’s chances.

"I’m worried," De Niro said in September at the Q&A session, "I see the things in Francis’ film about that, the parallels and so on. To me, it’s not over till it’s over, and we have to go at this wholeheartedly to beat the Republicans – those Republicans, they’re not real Republicans – and beat Trump.

Two famous Hollywood icons are worried about the looming presidential election and Donald Trump's chances to still win.

Actor Robert De Niro and director Spike Lee appeared with director Francis Ford Coppola at Monday’s New York premiere of his latest film, "Megalopolis." Deadline reported on how they hosted a Q&A before the screening where De Niro, a well known critic of Trump, drew parallels between the themes of Coppola’s futuristic epic and the current election.

"I’m worried," De Niro said at the Q&A session, "I see the things in Francis’ film about that, the parallels and so on. To me, it’s not over ’till it’s over and we have to go at this wholeheartedly to beat the Republicans – those Republicans, they’re not real Republicans – and beat Trump. It’s that simple. We cannot have that type of person. Everybody has to get out there and vote."

Earlier, De Niro had been mocking Trump, imploring them to "Just imagine Donald Trump directing this film. It’ll never go anywhere, from total craziness. He cannot do anything. He cannot hold anything together … He wants to destroy the country. And he could not do this movie. He could not do anything that has a structure."

The same outlet noted that Coppola interjected at this point to note he "deliberately" cast performers who "are voting another way."

"He didn’t name names, but one prominent Trump advocate, Jon Voight, plays a prominent role in the film. The filmmaker also expressed hope that ‘we can disagree’ on a film set but that humanity can prevail (another theme of the film)," Deadline’s business editor Dade Hayes wrote.

The cast features people who were canceled at one point or another. There were people who are archconservatives and others who are extremely politically progressive. But we were all working on one film together. That was interesting, I thought."

Regarding the movie "Megalopolis," the Internet Movie Database summarized the film as being one about how the city of New Rome is the main conflict between Cesar Catilina, a brilliant artist in favor of a utopian future, and the greedy mayor Franklyn Cicero. Between them is Julia Cicero, her loyalty divided between her father and her beloved."

'Paisans for Kamala' event features De Niro, Pelosi blasting Trump on immigration

"Buonasera Tutti," former New York Mayor Bill de Blasio toasted as he opened a three-hour "Paisans for Kamala" virtual dinner this week in support of Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential bid headlined by staunch Trump critic Robert De Niro.

De Blasio co-hosted the event with Paul Mercurio, a comedian who works on Stephen Colbert’s CBS late-night program.

During the livestream event, which featured several high-profile Italian Americans, many dinner guests lauded Harris while criticizing former President Trump’s immigration policies from the viewpoint of children or grandchildren of Italian immigrants.

De Blasio noted he had made an intentional visit to the childhood home of one such prominent Italian-American official.

"We just did a little pilgrimage… [to] Little Italy in Baltimore — to the home of Nancy D’Alesandro-Pelosi; where she grew up," he said, as the former mayor also highlighted the visit on X, posing at Pelosi’s former home alongside Maryland State Sen. James Rosapepe, D-Laurel.

"A dinner expresses who we are — we want to be a family as Italian-Americans — [and] bring everyone together for these amazing candidates," de Blasio said.

DE NIRO CLAIMS TRUMP COULD ‘DESTROY THE WORLD’

Mercurio went on to tell De Niro that Trump has "tapped into something" within his base that have bonded them to him.

De Niro, who once expressed a wish to "punch [Trump] in the face," replied that he has indeed listened to some of Trump’s supporters.

"I could very well see that there is a way, with them, that's more for them than with Trump, because Trump doesn’t offer anything," the actor said.

"We've seen this before in other countries and other societies... they think they can control someone like him... God forbid he becomes 'the boss,' all the people who thought they could control him, they'll find out differently."

Later, former Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, who said his maternal side is "fully Italian," joined the dinner sporting a "White Dudes for Harris" hat and spoke about the values he believes Harris brings to the table.

De Blasio soon displayed a slice of pizza and proceeded to eat it with a fork — in an apparent homage to a 2014 controversy that erupted when he dined in the same fashion in Staten Island.

De Blasio argued he remains correct that it is the proper way to eat a pie.

Former CIA Director Leon Panetta later appeared and said he supports Harris because Trump appears to support isolationism, remarking that such behavior "didn’t work before World War II."

"[There is] the importance of presidents standing up to tyrants… not appeasing them," he said.

Later, actor Steve Buscemi said Harris struck the right tone as a descendant of immigrants.

"Most immigrants are just looking for a better life, better opportunities, and they don't deserve to be punished for pursuing that dream," Buscemi said. "Kamala Harris is smart, strong, kind and inclusive."

When Pelosi appeared at the dinner, she recounted how her family lived for multiple generations in the Little Italy neighborhood of Baltimore that de Blasio visited.

"My grandfather and his contemporaries came here thinking the streets would be paved in gold — little did they know they would pave the streets when they got here," said Pelosi, whose father and grandfather, both named Thomas D’Alesandro, were mayors of Baltimore.

"It is an important race because of [Trump’s attitude toward immigrants] and so many other reasons. We must not take this election for granted," she said.

Pelosi went on to cite a speech by former President Reagan, highlighting the fact she was quoting a Republican, and saying that he understood in the speech that the Statue of Liberty is a "beacon of hope."

She claimed to have recited the quote to Republicans, who did not applaud: "I said, ‘They don’t applaud for Ronald Reagan?’"

Near the close of the dinner, one of Trump’s former officials — who notably broke with the president years ago — appeared.

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci quipped, in addressing de Blasio, "Can you imagine me, you and [former Republican Vice President] Dick Cheney getting together to support Vice President Harris?"

"Yes, I can imagine it because each of us understands the systemic danger involved with the potential reelection of Donald Trump," he said, before pledging $5,000 to Paisans for Harris.

"I bet they didn't discuss Kamala's support for ending Columbus Day, a very important national holiday for Italian Americans, named after the Italian explorer who discovered the Americas!" Karoline Leavitt, Trump campaign national press secretary told Fox in a statement.

"While Kamala Harris is supported by these disconnected California elites who wouldn't know their Sunday dinner costs 21.5 percent more thanks to Kamala's economic policies, President Trump will continue to earn the support of everyday Americans who want to lower costs, secure the border, and Make America Great Again," Leavitt added.

Legendary actor Robert De Niro explained why he spoke out against former President Trump during the wind down of Trump’s New York hush money trial last week.

The "Heat" star spoke to NBC's "TODAY" about his controversial appearance at the Biden campaign's press conference outside the Manhattan courthouse. He said it was important for him to speak out against a political leader who he previously said would "destroy" the country and the world if re-elected.

"We’re in a very bad situation," De Niro told show co-host Craig Melvin.

The famous mob film star generated headlines last week for joining Biden campaign communications director Michael Tyler, DC Metropolitan Police Department Officer Michael Fanone and former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn at a press conference outside the courtroom where Trump would later be convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records.

During his remarks on May 28, De Niro painted a dark picture of Trump.

And that's why I've joined the Biden-Harris campaign, because the only way to preserve our freedoms and hold on to our humanity is to vote for Joe Biden for president" he said.

He also declared, "Donald Trump wants to destroy not only the city, but the country. And eventually he could destroy the world."

The event became an even greater spectacle as De Niro engaged with pro-Trump protesters and hecklers, who had begun to shout him down.

Despite the public fallout, De Niro defended his actions to the "TODAY" crew on Tuesday.

Speaking of Trump’s behavior, he said, "What we have here is a denial of truth, all over the place."

Condemning Trump’s reaction to his Thursday guilty verdict, he continued, "And even the speech that he made after is insane. It’s just insane, and I’m very, very concerned about it. I think we all are."

He concluded, "So that’s why I felt that I had to do something – say something about it, to go on record."

Liberal actor Robert De Niro will no longer receive a coveted National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) award after he unleashed an anti-Trump tirade outside the 45th president’s Manhattan trial this week.

The NAB was set to honor De Niro with its prestigious NAB Leadership Foundation’s Service to America Award next week. But the "proudly bipartisan" group rescinded the accolade after De Niro attended a Biden-Harris press conference and slammed former President Trump as a "danger" to Americans who "wants to destroy" New York City and the nation.

"This event is proudly bipartisan, uniting those from across the political spectrum to celebrate the impactful work of local broadcasters and our partners," an NAB spokesperson told The Hill.

The NAB Leadership Foundation did not immediately respond to a request for additional comment.

"I owe this city a lot. And that's why it's so weird that Donald Trump is just across the street because he doesn't belong in my city. I don't know where he belongs, but he certainly doesn't belong here," De Niro continued. "We New Yorkers used to tolerate him when he was just another grubby real estate hustler masquerading as a big shot."

After the remarks wrapped up, the situation soon descended into chaos as De Niro was heckled by Trump supporters as he was leaving the podium. He even got into a shouting match with one man in a MAGA hat who called him a "washed-up actor."

Former President Trump ridiculed Robert De Niro as "pathetic" and a "wacko" after the liberal actor’s chaotic conference on Tuesday outside a Manhattan courthouse was widely derided.

In a late-night post on Truth Social, Trump tore into the two-time Academy Award winner who has angrily attacked Trump for years and on Tuesday claimed that Trump "wants to destroy" New York City and the nation and eventually could destroy the entire world.

"I never knew how small, both mentally and physically, Wacko Former Actor Robert De Niro was," Trump wrote at around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday.

"Today, De Niro, who suffers from an incurable case of, commonly known in the medical community as TDS, was met, outside the Courthouse, with a force far greater than the Radical Left - MAGA."

They have been deeply critical of Trump's conduct around the riot and said he's unfit to return to office.

The Biden campaign raised eyebrows Tuesday morning when it announced it was holding a press conference right outside the ongoing Trump trial featuring "special guests."

Those special guests were De Niro as well as DC Metropolitan Police Department Officer Michael Fanone and former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn, who were both present at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Critics slammed the political stunt, saying it flies in the face of President Biden's past claims that the criminal trials against Trump were not politically motivated.

Hollywood actor Robert De Niro warned on Tuesday that Donald Trump could "change this country" like fascist dictators did in Europe.

"I don’t understand why people are not taking him seriously," De Niro said of Trump in a guest appearance on "The View." "Because you read about it historically in other countries that they didn’t take the people seriously, I think Hitler and Mussolini - ‘they’re fools and clowns.’"

"The View" co-host Sunny Hostin noted how the former president is currently leading against Biden in battleground state polls and asked, "Any advice to the Biden campaign or the voters, what are you thinking?"

But De Niro warned that Trump’s imminent threat would be following his promises, "Who does not think that this guy is gonna do exactly what he says he's gonna do? He’s done it already. And then what? We’re gonna sit around and say what, we told you so?"

"It’s gonna happen," he said. "If he gets elected, it’s gonna change this country."

After De Niro suggested that some people might think that Trump retaking the White House might make their lives better, a significant portion was censored where he appeared to use profanity.

"Literally. Those people who support him, with anger and hate, because that’s what he’s about, they’re gonna see," he said.

De Niro also justified his statement that he would love to punch Trump in the face by saying that Trump had made a similar remark to somebody at a rally, "You don’t talk that way to people. What kind of person does that?"

"He’s done everything, what more do you need?" De Niro said. "It’s almost like he wants to do the worst that he could possibly do to show this country-" before he was silenced by the channel for a series of what appeared to be expletive-ridden statements.

Co-Host Whoopi Goldberg responded by arguing that if Trump regains the presidency it will be for the rest of his life, "his idea is to stay in until he drops dead."

Robert De Niro will forever mourn the death of his late grandson Leandro De Niro Rodriguez who died of an overdose in July. He was 19.

"It’s just a shock," he told People magazine. "[I] never thought it would happen."

One month after Leandro died, New York's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed to ӣ��Ƶ Digital that his cause of death was due to the "toxic effects of fentanyl, bromazolam, alprazolam, 7-aminoclonazepam, ketamine, and cocaine."

De Niro remembered feeling "disbelief" upon hearing about Leandro's death. Leandro is the son of De Niro's oldest daughter, Drena, with ex Diahnne Abbott.

The "Killers of the Flower Moon" actor adopted Drena when he and Diahnne married in 1976. They divorced 12 years later in 1988.

"My grandson, on July 2nd of last year, he was … he overdosed with fentanyl," De Niro said. "He was just about … going to be 20. It's awful."

"And I just then started thinking about all the things I could have, should have done maybe with him. I don't know if that would've made a difference. And so that's always playing through my mind."

Rodriguez's manner of death was ruled an accident, according to the medical examiner.

De Niro added, "It's not a good thing for anybody. It shouldn't have happened."

Drena, an actress and filmmaker, worked alongside her son in multiple projects, including "A Star is Born."

Sofia Haley Marks, 20, was arrested in connection with Rodriguez's death in July. Marks allegedly sold Rodriguez drugs before he was found dead July 2 in his Manhattan apartment.

She appeared in a Manhattan federal court two weeks later on three federal narcotics charges and agreed to remain behind bars until she requests bail at a later date. Prosecutors said at the time that they would oppose a request for her release.

"I’m deeply distressed by the passing of my beloved grandson Leo. We’re greatly appreciative of the condolences from everyone. We ask that we please be given privacy to grieve our loss of Leo," the Academy award-winning actor said in a statement shared with ӣ��Ƶ Digital.

Robert De Niro's production company was ordered to pay his former assistant roughly $1.2 million as his gender discrimination trial came to a close Thursday.

While De Niro was found not liable personally, the jury ordered Canal Productions to pay Graham Chase Robinson $1.264 million in damages.

Robinson was not found liable for any of the accusations in De Niro's lawsuit against her.

Robinson had sued De Niro and Canal for gender discrimination and retaliation, and De Niro sued the ex-employee over the alleged misuse of company funds.

Robert De Niro's courtroom outburst and back-scratching request

While testifying, Robert De Niro apologized to the judge after he raised his voice during questioning about a back-scratching request.

"I don't — she didn't scratch it," the actor said on the stand, according to court transcripts obtained by ӣ��Ƶ Digital. "If she did, I said, ‘Could you scratch it?’ because I'm over here, one thing, I have an itch. Once. It is so ridiculous. It is every little thing she is trying to get on me. It is like she implies that she is out in front of the building scrubbing the floors on her knees, washing it and making sure that … this is nonsense. Come on."

When Robinson's lawyers claimed he asked twice for the assistant to scratch his back, De Niro shot back, "OK. Twice? OK. OK, you got me. I don't even know what you are talking about. I'm sorry, this is nonsense.

"It never was with any disrespect or lewdness or any kind of weirdness that you are trying to imply. Shame on you, Chase Robinson."

De Niro quickly apologized to the judge following the moment.

Robinson later insisted the back-scratching request had happened.

"I had mentioned that there was a back scratcher he could use instead," she testified, according to court transcripts. "He said he preferred the way that I scratched his back."

Robert De Niro admitted he ‘berated’ the former assistant

During the second day of De Niro's testimony, the actor acknowledged he "berated" Graham Chase Robinson on at least one occasion. Recalling a time the former assistant didn't wake him up fro a meeting, De Niro agreed he might have used "petulant," "snippy" and "f---ing spoiled brat" to describe Robinson.

Robinson's attorney, Andrew Macurdy, also asked De Niro whether he called Robinson a "b---- to her face."

"I was never abusive, ever," the actor snapped back, though he conceded he may have used the word in conversations with her.

Robert De Niro's daughter allegedly sent his former assistant a threatening text mid-trial

Graham Chase Robinson's legal team shared a text the former assistant received days after she first took the stand in the discrimination trial. The message seemingly came from one of Robert De Niro's daughters, according to the screenshot of the text that included the contact suggestion on the iPhone.

Robinson's lawyer read the text to the judge in court.

"You disgusting little beast. You have nothing better to do with your pathetic life than destroy an 80-year-old man's life for money. You piece of s---. He lost a grandson only four months ago. Has to deal with a scumbag like you. Sickening. Hopefully you and your family will suffer, like you have made so many suffer."

Robinson's lawyers claimed they googled the phone number, and it did connect back to De Niro's daughter.

"We think this is very serious, particularly given the timing that Ms. Robinson is on the stand, and certainly, in the context of other inadvertent contacts from other associates of the defense side," Macurdy told the judge, according to a court transcript obtained by ӣ��Ƶ Digital. "So, we would ask for an instruction to Mr. De Niro and to Canal that no one from his family and no associates would be contacting Ms. Robinson whatsoever."

De Niro's lawyer told the judge he knew "nothing" about the text message and claimed it was the "first time" he had heard about it.

"So, I have no idea where that comes from," attorney Richard C. Schoenstein said. "But certainly we would instruct our clients not to contact the plaintiff and if your honor wants to do that, that's fine with us."

Robert De Niro's girlfriend had issues with Graham Chase Robinson

Robert De Niro's girlfriend, Tiffany Chen, who gave birth to the 80-year-old's seventh child this year, emerged as a key figure in the issues between the actor and his former assistant.

At one point, Chen seemingly issued an ultimatum for De Niro to get rid of Robinson.

"If you keep her, you and I will eventually have problems," one text, sent by Chen to De Niro and read in court, said. De Niro denied the claims, saying Chen only wanted her off projects that had to do with decorating the couple's home.

"No one tells me what to do in my office, period," De Niro said on the stand, according to the court transcript.

While Chen and De Niro weren't publicly romantically linked until 2021, the two moved into a New York City townhouse in 2018, according to court testimony. At this time, Chen began to manage Robinson on projects for the home. Robinson had been working for De Niro for 10 years at this point. However, the two seemingly didn't get along as Chen began to accuse Robinson of having "imaginary intimacy" with the actor.

"Ms. Chen said that Chase wanted to marry Mr. De Niro, that Chase wanted to move into the house with him, that Chase had imaginary intimacy that she wanted to be the lady of the house," Robinson's lawyer said during opening statements.

This "imaginary intimacy," as Chen also referred to it in text messages shown in court, allegedly caused the problems between the girlfriend and former assistant.

Robert De Niro called Graham Chase Robinson twice while she was attending her grandmother's funeral after she had informed her boss she would be unavailable.

"If I did, then I did. And if I called her I would have — but you could pull up whatever the deposition is that I would have been sensitive to it being a funeral, but she might have said 'It's OK, I can talk at this point, it's a whatever, a wake,'" De Niro admitted during his testimony, according to court transcripts.

"It is not like a funeral where they're putting the body into the ground or something."

At the time, De Niro was attempting to contact Robinson to secure bus tickets for his teenage son.
