Banks rips CNN's Lemon for slam on Trump supporters: 'They want to cancel all of us with conservative beliefs'

Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., pushed back on "Outnumbered Overtime" Friday against CNN anchor Don Lemon's claim that people who voted for President Trump are on the side of Nazis and the Ku Klux Klan.

Lemon doubled down Thursday on his initial demonization of all Trump supporters following last week's riot at the Capitol.

Lemon was widely condemned Wednesday night after he argued that it's valid to associate everyone who voted for Trump with neo-Nazis and KKK members who also say they support him.

"If you voted for Trump, you voted for the person who the Klan supported," Lemon said. "You voted for the person who Nazis support. You voted for the person who the alt-right supports. You voted for the person who incited a crowd to go into the Capitol and potentially take the lives of lawmakers ... You voted on that side, and the people in Washington are continuing to vote on that side."

Lemon remained unapologetic Thursday night.

REP. JIM BANKS, R-IND.: I hate to say it, but we are used to this type of rhetoric from the left, but we better get used to a lot more of it coming in the years ahead. With Joe Biden taking the White House in less than a week, Democrats controlling both chambers of the Congress, we’re going to hear a lot more of this kind of talk.

You probably heard AOC last night talk about censoring the media. She actually wants to wipe ӣ��Ƶ off of cable television so that we are forced to watch networks and media figures like Don Lemon say despicable things like what you just played on the air, so enough is enough, this is why the American people need to pay attention to what the left is up to.

Big Tech censorship against conservatives is 'dictatorial': Republican congressman

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., condemned recent Big Tech acts such as deplatforming the right-leaning social media site Parler as "dictatorial" efforts to suppress speech.

In an interview on "Outnumbered Overtime," the conservative congressman said he feared such gestures by Amazon, Apple, Google, Facebook, and Twitter would lead to more "bitterness" in public discourse.

When you start supressing speech, first of all, it's dictatorial. Second, it violates our constitutional right. But the third thing I would say is it causes people to go underground, and as people go underground ... you get more conspiracy type theories involved. It gets injected with more hatred. It gets injected with more bitterness .... The way they're doing this, they're going to prevent discussions that make us all progress and solve issues. Instead, they're going to foment more problems, more discord by doing this. My opinion, they're trying to create a single party system, and that's wrong.

Concha, a media and politics columnist for The Hill, told Julie Banderas on "Outnumbered Overtime" the suspensions create "a very dangerous place" and limit the free exchange of ideas. The backlash against Parler came after a pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol in a deadly riot last week.

JOE CONCHA: The responsibility partly lies with the President of the United States holding a rally, Julie, and then his supporters, the most extreme ones, certainly not all, but enough, storming the Capitol. That was part of it, and it’s been a powder keg that’s been building for quite some time since the election. To pick out one particular social media platform like Parler, and say, ‘You’re responsible,’ and that’s what Google’s saying, Apple’s saying, and Amazon’s saying, without that triad, you don’t get to have a social media platform anymore.

It’s completely arbitrary. And this whole thing, by the way, that Twitter is somehow sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows in terms of what’s posted on there? Or go to any political publication and read their comments section. It’s as vile and as hateful as anything you’ll see. So to pick out Parler, and not talk about anybody else in terms of moderation, is quite the rub...

We should have platforms where there’s a free exchange of ideas between the left and the right and everybody in between. Huckabee praised former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley’s comments criticizing Trump over the Capitol Hill riots by his supporters but also warning the GOP not to forget all he has done. Haley also cited Trump’s accomplishments on his economic and energy policies, pushback against Iran, China, and ISIS, peace deals between Arab countries and Israel, and more.

MIKE HUCKABEE: Nikki [Haley] is spot on. That’s exactly what we need to be focused upon and I wish that since the election the president would’ve reminded America of the four years of things that he has done. You just outlined a number of them. The fact that our energy prices are the best they’ve been in decades because now we are energy independent. I think all this talk about him resigning, the 25th Amendment, is ridiculous. I don’t think the president’s words were the right words. I disagreed with the things that he said on Wednesday, that I think gave his followers false hope that the election was going to be overturned…The president used words that I think his followers took as, "let’s go charge Capitol Hill." Chris Wallace: Mike Pence chose Constitution over Trump by not rejecting electors

ӣ��Ƶ Sunday host Chris Wallace said Vice President Mike Pence correctly chose the Constitution over the whims of President Trump Wednesday in announcing he could not unilaterally reject electors, a power he did not possess anyway.

"Mike Pence has been an utterly loyal vice president, but when it comes to a direct choice, and that's what basically Donald Trump was asking him to make, between the Constitution and helping his president, he chose the Constitution," Wallace said. "I think it is the only choice he could have made. I think it's the right choice and the courageous choice."

Trump had pressured Pence to reject electors he believed had been chosen due to fraud, but Pence said in a letter he lacked that authority. Pence is currently overseeing a joint session of Congress as some Republicans mount objections to the election results.

Trump told supporters during a rally Wednesday that he won the election and called the election one of the most corrupt races in world history, but he has repeatedly lost legal challenges in swing states in an attempt to overturn President-elect Joe Biden's win.

And he makes all of these statements about election fraud, Harris, and says, "Well, there's all this evidence.' You don't have to listen to me, listen to the federal judges, the state judges, federal judges appointed by Donald Trump. The conservative majority in the Supreme Court, his own attorney general, his own head of cybersecurity at his administration. They have all said there was not the kind of vote fraud in this election that would in any way challenge the results in a single state, let alone overall. The president is making up stories, but the people who have heard the evidence, all of them, have rejected it.

Sen. Ron Johnson vows to investigate 2020 election results if GOP keeps Senate majority

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., one of several GOP senators who will not vote to certify the 2020 presidential election results, told "Outnumbered Overtime" Tuesday that "legitimate concerns" about voter fraud can't be ignored.

Johnson noted if Republicans hold the Senate following Tuesday's Georgia runoff elections, he will be chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee's Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.

"I will guarantee that I'm going to dig into this," he said. "I'm going to investigate, and I'm going to find out what the truth is. And again, what we can explain, we'll explain, set that aside, but where there's problems, we really do need to fix them."

More than 100 House Republicans and 13 GOP senators say they will object to the tabulation of the election results when Congress meets on Wednesday.

TRUMP PUTS PRESSURE ON PENCE AHEAD OF ELECTION SHOWDOWN IN CONGRESS

"The main problem, from my standpoint, is you have so many people in the mainstream media, certainly Democrats, that just want to sweep this under the rug, that just want to dismiss these very serious, legitimate concerns of what happened during the 2020 election," Johnson told host Harris Faulkner.

The Wisconsin Republican claimed some irregularities still haven't been explained, although the Justice Department and election officials in states where the Trump campaign launched challenges have said there is not sufficient evidence of voter fraud that would overturn President-elect Joe Biden's victory.

"When you have tens of millions of Americans who simply don't believe this is a legitimate outcome -- we've just gone through four years where Democrats and the extreme left simply did not acknowledge President Trump as the legitimate president -- and now here we are, because of COVID, because of a more than doubling of the number of absentee ballots, while at the same time Democrats pushed the envelope, relaxing standards," he said.

Joe Concha slams $900B COVID-19 relief bill as ‘essence of the swamp’

ӣ��Ƶ contributor Joe Concha blasted the $900 billion coronavirus relief package passed by Congress this week, calling it "a pork-filled cluster" that has "nothing to do with the coronavirus pandemic or relief."

Concha went on to describe the legislation as the "essence of the swamp."

"What stood out to me most was the $1 billion for the Smithsonian to build two additional museums," Concha told "Outnumbered Overtime" Wednesday. "The Washington Nationals moved into a new park about ten years ago, right in Washington as well. That cost about $850 million to build. Even with inflation, you’re still not going to get to a billion dollars."

Included in the bill is $26 million to the Kennedy Center for the Arts. Concha questioned why Congress decided to put that kind of money into a facility that hasn’t hosted a performance since mid-March.

CONGRESS PASSES $900B COVID-19 RESCUE PACKAGE AFTER TENSE NEGOTIATIONS

In addition, the legislation proposed a $600 direct payment to most indivuduals and $1,200 to most couples, along with a new round of subsidies for hard-hit businesses, restaurants and theaters.

Late Tuesday, President Trump demanded Congress boost the amount to $2,000 for individuals and $4,000 for couples, calling the bill passed "a disgrace."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.; Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.; and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., all favored the president’s proposal.

"The [coronavirus relief package] is the swamp, and this is the money that they tried to spend in the most insidious way possible, which is sneak it in with COVID relief," Concha argued. "This way if you vote against it three days before Christmas, you look like a horrible person, even though on principal you are voting against the pork and not the relief."

The Hill media columnist noted Congress could have passed a coronavirus stimulus bill earlier, when Americans were truly struggling during the pandemic.

"It seems the House Speaker — remember, Democrats are control of the House — the House Speaker wanted to wait and play politics until their preferred candidate, Joe Biden, got across the finish line, and then she said herself that it was a game changer that Joe Biden won," Concha said. "Suddenly, negotiations could go forward at this point, particularly with a vaccine."

Concha blasted House Democrats and Republicans for "forcing" Congress to vote on the massive coronavirus bill in a short amount of time.

"That’s just a whole big bowl of wrong and it was both sides of the aisle, whether you’re talking about AOC or Rand Paul, you can’t just ram these things through, pat yourself on the back, and say, 'OK, Merry Christmas, I’m going home to my big freezer to eat my loads of ice cream.'"

Loeffler: Georgia won't let Warnock, left-wing media drive country toward socialism

Sen. Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., said Tuesday she would not allow the "left-wing media" or her Democratic opponent, Rev. Raphael Warnock, to drive the country toward socialism.

"I've been blessed to live the American dream," Loeffler told "Outnumbered Overtime" in response to a lengthy New York Times article examining her upbringing, Wall Street background and staunchly pro-Trump voting record.

"I was born and raised on a farm, grew up working in the fields, waitressed my way through school, and built a successful career, based on free enterprise," she added. "That's what I'm fighting for. Democrats want to bring socialism to our country. Raphael Warnock would be a rubber stamp for socialism, and we're not going to let that stand ... The left-wing media wants to take us toward socialism, and we're not going to stand for that here in Georgia."

The Times portrayed Loeffler as being cagey about her family's "prosperous" farming background and suggesting her successful Wall Street career contradicts her pitch as an advocate for hard-working Georgians. The article was not entirely negative, however, quoting people who described her as driven and professional.

WARNOCK'S FORMER GROUP, UNDER FRAUD INVESTIGATION, WAS PREVIOUSLY HIT WITH UNEMPLOYMENT TAX LIENS

The piece also delved into Loeffler's political transformation over the past decade. She has repeatedly touted her 100% voting record with President Trump, although she did not donate to him during his 2016 race. Loeffler, the wealthiest member of Congress, was a major bundler for Republican nominee Mitt Romney in 2012.

"We're fighting for the president because he's fought for us for four years, and he's continuing to fight for us," Loeffler said. "We have been helping deliver relief under this pandemic, relief that the Democrats have blocked time and again, and David Perdue and I have done that every single day."

Loeffler and Sen. David Perdue, R-Ga., are the last hopes for Republicans to hold the U.S. Senate majority next year by winning their runoff races on Jan. 5. They have sought to nationalize the race by calling themselves a firewall against potential full Democratic control of Congress.

HARRIS SAYS 'EVERYTHING IS AT STAKE' IN GEORGIA'S TWIN SENATE RUNOFF ELECTIONS

With so much on the line for both parties, the state has been flooded with top surrogates, including Trump, Vice Pesident Mike Pence and former ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley for the Republicans, and President-elect Joe Biden, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris and former President Barack Obama for the Democrats.

Warnock and Perdue's challenger, Jon Ossoff, have attacked their Republican opponents over their support for Trump and their scrutinized stock transactions at the outset of the pandemic, although no wrongdoing has been proven.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp appointed Loeffler to fill Sen. Johnny Isakson's seat last year, and she took her position in January. She advanced to the runoff with Warnock after a "jungle" special election in November, and she has repeatedly lambasted him as a "radical liberal" who would be the first pro-Marxist senator if he won. She has particularly assailed his past rhetoric against the police.

"We are the firewall to stopping socialism in America, right here in Georgia," Loeffler said. "We know that we have to hold the line. The American dream is on the ballot, and we know that because Chuck Schumer said he was going to take Georgia and change America ... If we don't hold the line here in Georgia, we will see the election of our first Marxist senator, and we can't let that happen."

New York Times committed 'major league failure' with hoax 'Caliphate' podcast: Kurtz

ӣ��Ƶ media analyst Howard Kurtz said Friday The New York Times committed a "major league failure" after the paper admitted to not properly vetting the claims of a supposed terrorist featured in its award-winning podcast "Caliphate."

The Times published a lengthy correction to the 12-part series Friday after an investigation showed Shehroze Chaudhry's claims of committing atrocities in Syria on behalf of ISIS were false. The paper said the story did not meet its standards for accuracy and added that reporter Rukmini Callmachi had been reassigned from the terrorism beat.

"It's hard to overstate what a major league failure this is for the New York Times, which fell for an elaborate hoax," Kurtz told "Outnumbered Overtime."

NEW YORK TIMES ADMITS MASSIVE FAILURE TO VET FALSE CLAIMS IN 'CALIPHATE' PODCAST

Kurtz credited the Times and executive editor Dean Baquet with coming clean about the story's errors, though he noted the Times had not deleted the podcast.

The newspaper published an interview with Baquet about the editorial breakdowns that allowed Chaudhry to claim on "Caliphate" that he had joined ISIS in Syria in 2014 and executed prisoners. Investigators in Chaudhry's native Canada found he had fabricated his ISIS tale and likely never even entered Syria.

"This failing isn’t about any one reporter. I think this was an institutional failing," Baquet said.

SUBJECT OF NY TIMES PODCAST 'CALIPHATE' ARRESTED FOR FAKING HIS ISIS PAST, RAISING QUESTIONS ABOUT AUDIO SERIES

Kurtz noted Callimachi's apology for what the newspaper got wrong, "which as it turned out, was a lot."

Baquet told NPR the newspaper "fell in love" with the idea of interviewing a former ISIS fighter, even though its own vetting before the podcast aired showed discrepancies in Chaudhry's story.

"We fell in love with the fact that we had gotten a member of ISIS who would describe his life in the caliphate and would describe his crimes," Baquet said. "I think we were so in love with it that when we saw evidence that maybe he was a fabulist, when we saw evidence that he was making some of it up, we didn't listen hard enough."

Chaudhry was arrested by Canadian authorities in September for perpetrating a terror hoax, which carries a five-year prison sentence. He has denied the charges.

"In the absence of firmer evidence, 'Caliphate' should have been substantially revised to exclude the material related to Mr. Chaudhry. The podcast as a whole should not have been produced with Mr. Chaudhry as a central narrative character," the Times correction said.

The episode got the attention of President Trump, a longtime reader and critic of the flagship newspaper. He tweeted "they do this to me every day" and called for an apology.

Trey Gowdy rips Biden comments defending son Hunter: 'The United States Attorney's office is not foul play'

ӣ��Ƶ contributor Trey Gowdy rejected President-elect Joe Biden’s notion that accusations surrounding his son’s business dealings overseas constitute "foul play."

"If immediate reports are correct, you've got more than one investigation into Biden family members," Gowdy told "Outnumbered Overtime". "So, I don’t think the grand jury is foul play, the United States Attorney’s office is not foul play."

Gowdy added that the investigations stem from "probable cause."

"Now, you're welcome to pick on Republican politicians, but you've got two criminal investigations. That ain’t foul play, that’s called probable cause, Joe, that ain’t foul play."

JOE BIDEN CLAIMS ‘FOUL PLAY’ WHILE DEFENDING SON HUNTER BUT SAYS HE’S ‘NOT CONCERNED’

During an interview with CBS "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert that aired Thursday night, Biden expressed "confidence" in his son.

In raising the subject of Hunter Biden, Colbert told the president-elect that "the people who want to make hay in Washington are going to try to use your son as as a cudgel against you.

"How do you feel about that?" Colbert asked. "And what do you have to say to those people?"

"I have, we have, great confidence in our son," responded Biden, referring to his wife, Jill. "I am not concerned about any accusations being made against him. It's used to get to me. I think it’s kind of foul play, but look, it is what it is and he’s a grown man, he is the smartest man I know. I mean, from a pure intellectual capacity – and as long as he’s good, we’re good."

The Biden transition team clarified that Biden was not referring to the investigation as "foul play," but rather was referencing Republicans who have used Hunter Biden's business dealings to go after the president-elect for months.

When Colbert asked how he would handle attacks from Republicans, Biden said he would be willing to work with critics because it’s what’s best for the country.

The Delaware U.S. Attorney is investigating Hunter Biden’s tax "affairs" – a probe that has been ongoing since 2018 but was only recently publicly disclosed.

Hunter Biden has a complex network of international business dealings. His involvement with Ukranian energy company Burisma in 2014 has come under intense scrutiny, and was a repeated target of President Trump during his campaign for the 2020 presidency.

The younger Biden was paid $50,000 per month to serve on the board of Burisma, causing concern about the perceptions of a conflict of interest given the fact that his father was involved in U.S. policy toward Ukraine.

Gowdy also highlighted the lack of coverage of the events surrounding Hunter in the media.

"There are three groups, Harris, I think that provide oversight in our culture. You have the executive branch, and there are ongoing criminal investigations. You have a congress, but, you know, the House is not going to do anything. And the Senate will only do something if they [Republicans] win one of the seats in Georgia. And then, of course, you have the media,"

"Look, I don't follow the news like you do, Harris, but I haven't seen that many questions posed to Joe Biden about his son," Gowdy added to host Harris Faulkner. "You know, what he said was he had nothing to do with his son's business. So, the answer to whether or not that is true is relevant ... If he is right, then someone is trafficking in his name without his knowledge, and if he is wrong, then he told us something that is a lie and your credibility is always relevant."

Cotton calls on Joe Biden to hold press conference about family's business interests

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., called on President-elect Joe Biden Thursday to "come entirely clean" and address questions about his family's overseas business dealings during an appearance on "Outnumbered Overtime."

There are growing calls by Republicans for the appointment a special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden's tax affairs before his father enters the White House, and Cotton said there is mounting evidence that Joe Biden's family has traded on his political influence for 50 years.

SEN. TOM COTTON: Hunter Biden, like Jim Biden, Joe Biden's brother, and Valerie Biden Owens, his sister, have been trading on Joe Biden's name and public office for 50 years. I think the content of those emails are suggestive that maybe Joe Biden knew this was going on all along.

It's well past time for Joe Biden to have a press conference and come entirely clean about what Hunter Biden and Jim Biden and the rest of the Biden family have done. If you recall, in early January 2017, Donald Trump had a no-holds-barred press conference before he took office, answering all the questions about the crazy, fantastical Steele dossier and all about the Democrats' fevered claims of collusion, for which there was no evidence to support, and [for] which the Mueller report itself found no evidence. But there is a lot of evidence suggesting that the Biden family has been trading on Joe Biden's public office and name for 50 years. Why would you think it's going to stop if he assumes the highest office in the land?

California restaurant owner who yelled at inspectors blasts 'extremely unfair' coronavirus restrictions

A California restaurant owner cited for keeping his business open in violation of a state coronavirus lockdown joined ӣ��Ƶ Wednesday to discuss the viral video of his confrontation with health inspectors.

"Well, I am still waiting to see what is going to happen," Anton Van Happen told "Outnumbered Overtime". "It is really alarming and not fair that I am following the rules and doing what they want me to do, [and] just because I’ve protested and put my tables outside, which is in my right to do, for two to three hours last evening, they gave me a restaurant closure notice."

In the video, shared by a reporter from The Daily Caller Van Happen asks public health inspectors, "Are you going to pay my rent?"

Later in the video, he adds: "I followed the rules, I continue to follow the rules and you guys still time after time are giving me citations, telling me I have to close my business – what about my employees?"

Earlier this month, the city of Ventura, Calif., where Van Happen's Nick the Greek Souvlaki and Gyro House restaurant is located, issued a notice to restaurants saying they can "stay open for takeout and delivery, but they have to shut down both indoor and outdoor dining" as coronavirus cases across the state continue to rise.

Van Happen called it "extremely unfair" that restaurants cannot conduct business outside under California's stay-at-home order while other businesses are able to do so.

"I believe that if it is legal to go out on a golf course with a group of people and golf, but if you eat that spreads out more," he said. "I mean, it makes zero sense, and is not scientifically proven."

Van Happen insisted Wednesday that restaurant owners have abided by the health guidelines "since day one."

"We have worn masks. We have listened to everything they tell us to do," he said, "and now, all of a sudden, it is like we are getting punished for it."

"The real thing is over the summer, people were getting money weekly from the government, companies were getting Paycheck Protection Program loans. That’s why everything was calm and went smooth and fine," he pointed out. "Now, they are shutting everything down without giving people money, which makes no sense, because, like I say in my video, who is going to pay for my rent and my employees? Who will pay for all the expenses? It makes no sense."

McEnany accuses Pelosi of 'prioritizing trial lawyers' in coronavirus relief bill negotiations

President Trump is putting the American people first in the rollout of the coronavirus vaccine, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said Monday before accusing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., of stalling critical financial aid.

“The president decided front-line workers need to come first," McEnany told “Outnumbered Overtime". "Our residents in long-term care facilities need to come first."

Trump tweeted Sunday night that administration officials "should receive the vaccine somewhat later in the program, unless specifically necessary. ... I am not scheduled to take the vaccine, but look forward to doing so at the appropriate time."

"We will still have continuity of government," McEnany explained. "Key officials like Situation Room staff, among others, will have access to this vaccine, and some certain members of Congress, and there will be continuity of government. But he is unashamed in saying, 'Look, number one, it's the most vulnerable, it's our heroic frontline workers -- who should be Time [magazine] Person of the Year, by the way -- and it should be our residents in long-term care facilities.'"

BIPARTISAN GROUP TO UNVEIL $908B CORONAVIRUS RELIEF PROPOSAL AS YEAR-END DEADLINE LOOMS

Meanwhile, a bipartisan group of senators was set to unveil a $908 billion coronavirus relief bill later Monday as the deadline looms for Congress to strike a deal before the end of the year.

A framework released by the group shows the aid package allocates about $300 billion in funding for small businesses through the Paycheck Protection Program, $240 billion in aid for state and local governments, and $180 billion to increase unemployment benefits by $300 per week through March.

The framework aslo includes liability protections for businesses that remain open during the pandemic and would funnel $16 billion into vaccine distribution, testing, and contact tracing, put $82 billion into education, and give $45 billion for transportation.

“We want to see this thing get done,” McEnany said Monday.

“I talked with the [White House] chief of staff [Mark Meadows] about it this morning. He said Nancy Pelosi is unfortunately putting the interest of trial lawyers first. These trial lawyers are the ones who are going to go after small businesses. That’s the last thing they need as they are trying to weather COVID, is all of this liability on their hands,” McEnany added.

"We also want the money to go directly to the American people in the form of direct payment checks," the press secretary added. "Come on, Nancy Pelosi. Negotiate. That is all we are asking for.”

Huckabee: Dems winning Ga. Senate races like giving car keys, 'liquor cabinet access to teenager’

Giving the Democrats control of the White House and both houses of Congress would be like "giving car keys to a Corvette to a 14-year-old [as well as] free access to the liquor cabinet," former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said Friday.

“I think everything is at stake for the country," Huckabee, now a ӣ��Ƶ contributor, told “Outnumbered Overtime" during a discussion of next month's Senate runoff elections in Georgia. "This isn’t just about Georgia anymore."

"This will decide the balance of the Senate," Huckabee told host Harris Faulkner. "And should Joe Biden prevail and end up being sworn in, then what you're going to have is a very, very touchy situation."

If the Democrats win both Georgia races and hold the Senate by virtue of Vice President-elect Kamala Harris breaking ties on crucial votes, the former governor warned, "we're going to be in a world of hurt ... in terms of those of us who believe that government ought to do less, not a whole lot more and should [not] spend our money, but should be a little more careful. That's what's at stake."

TOP CONSERVATIVE GROUP SAYS GROUND GAME IN GEORGIA RUNOFFS COULD BE 'THE DIFFERENCE MAKER'

The political arm of Americans for Prosperity, the powerful conservative and libertarian political advocacy group, is putting on a full-court press to get out the vote in the Jan. 5 elections. While pro-GOP super PACs and other outside groups have shelled out big bucks to flood the airwaves on behalf of Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, Americans for Prosperity Action is knocking on doors across the state to make sure conservative voters will cast ballots in the runoff and to try and persuade swing voters.

When Faulkner asked Huckabee whether he thought Georgia voters cared about the national implications of both races, he responded: "If they don’t care about the national implications, care about the local implications.

"Do they believe that more regulation will be good for the prices of the things they put on the shelf?" he asked. "Do they think that losing the Trump tax cuts that gave every Georgia household an average of $6,000 is really not worth much and they'd love to give it back to the government so the government can waste it? Do they really want China to come back in and have free reign over our country and run right over us with unfair trade agreements? Do they want to go back to the NAFTA days instead of the USMCA days? Do they want more abortion rather than greater restrictions on how many ways you can kill a baby?

Uniform Wisconsin coronavirus school lockdown policies not serving districts, schools choice president says

Amid the ongoing debate over coronavirus lockdowns in Wisconsin, the head of School Choice Wisconsin argued Tuesday that schools in the state want localized mandates instead of a "one-size-fits-all" approach.

“There is really two layers of health departments," Jim Bender explained on "Outnumbered Overtime." "There’s the state health department and then local units of health departments underneath that."

When local officials closed down schools in Dane County, Bender explained, the state Supreme Court stepped in and stated that only a “statewide health officer” can push such mandates.

“That’s the legal argument in front of them,” Bender said. “They put an injunction on Dane County and then the [the city of] Racine followed up and said, ‘We’re going to close all the schools in Racine’ and we have gone to court to have the injunction get extended from Dane County to Racine County to say, 'No, this is under review, you can’t close schools just because of a local health order.'"

"Surprisingly," Bender continued, "the local health department and the city of Racine has ignored the injunction that the Supreme Court extended, so now you’re talking about schools that have been operating in a very safe manner arbitrarily closed from now until sometime in January again.”

WISCONSIN PARENTS SUE CITY OF RACINE FOR SHUTTING DOWN SCHOOLS

According to the Daily Wire, officials in Racine ordered all schools to remain closed from Nov. 27 through Jan. 15, 2021.

Five private schools and two other groups -- represented by the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty -- asked the court for an injunction after Racine Public Health Administrator Dottie-Kay Bowersox issued an order Nov. 12 requiring schools to switch to virtual learning.

“If I look at one school, they have been open and operating safely, 250 total students, they had 142 of them in person following mitigation protocols, social distancing, masks, things were obviously kept very clean inside the school," Bender said. "They had a handful of positive cases, but those were students that were infected outside the school and because of their cohorts in mitigation, there was no transfer of COVID inside the school."

Bender concluded by saying that, “all the schools are asking for is the ability to have a hybrid approach that fits their student body, their families, their workforce as it goes forward. That’s what most schools have been doing, public and private, around the state of Wisconsin when it comes to creating a safe learning environment. The one-size-fits-all approaches that are meant to close down all the schools are not serving the kids and that’s the most important part here.”

Barrasso: Democrats performing 'dirty tricks' to win Georgia Senate runoffs

Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., criticized Democratic "dirty tricks" in Georgia's dueling runoff Senate races on Thursday, calling the notion of all-Democratic control in Washington a "scary" prospect.

Responding on "Outnumbered Overtime" to Georgia officials investigating groups for seeking to register ineligible voters, the Senate Republican Conference chair said such conduct could not be tolerated.

"We can see already the dirty tricks being done by Democrats in Georgia again," Barrasso said. "When you hear reports like that of what's happening in Georgia, it makes your blood boil. This sounds like fraud ... People need to be arrested here."

FORMER GEORGIA GOP LEADERS WORRY REPUBLICANS WON'T TURN OUT AMID ELECTORAL FRAUD CLAIMS

Among the groups under scrutiny is The New Georgia Project, which was founded by former Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and previously chaired by Democratic Senate candidate Raphael Warnock. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said his office has "received specific evidence that these groups have solicited voter registrations from ineligible individuals who have passed away or live out of state."

A Democratic PAC came under fire for launching a billboard campaign under the guise of a pro-Trump group discouraging Republican voters from supporting Sens. Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., and David Perdue, R-Ga. Hollywood figures, including actor Daniel Newman, have posed as conservatives online urging Republicans to boycott the race.

Barrasso noted Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., remarking last month that once Democrats "take Georgia," they could "change America."

With his narrow victory in Georgia over President Trump, Biden became the first Democratic presidential candidate to win the state since 1992. However, Democrats have not won a U.S. Senate race in the state since 2000.

Should Warnock and fellow Democratic Senate hopeful Jon Ossoff win, Democrats would clinch a 50-50 tie in the U.S. Senate, with Vice President Kamala Harris serving as the tiebreaker. Several new Republican members said they are forming the "Freedom Force" to "stand up and fight back against socialism."

Congresswoman-elect Michelle Steel, R-Calif., joined Congresswoman-elect Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., who both flipped House seats red in November, on "Outnumbered Overtime" Tuesday.

"I think the left is totally out of line from mainstream America," Steel said, pointing out she is a first-generation immigration with an accent.

Malliotakis said the conservative group is "bonded by a love of this nation and opposes the radical agenda of The Squad -- which includes progressive Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, of New York City; Ayanna Pressley of Boston; Ilhan Omar of Minneapolis; and Rashida Tlaib of Detroit.

"Right now it's under attack by those members of the socialist squad," she said, "who are looking to chip away our freedoms and really dismantle our economy and really our country and we ned to fight back and we're really passionate about that."

Malliotakis warned: "When AOC offers you free stuff, you're paying for it with your freedom."

In addition to Steel and Malliotakis, some of the new Freedom Force members include Republican Reps.-elect Carlos Gimenez, Maria Elvira Salazar and Byron Donalds of Florida; Stephanie Bice of Oklahoma; Burgess Owens of Utah; and Victoria Spartz of Indiana.

Both of the new representatives say 2022 will be a win for Republicans in the House.

One of the newer members of the Democratic squad, Congressman-elect Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., suggested Republicans misunderstood socialism.

“I believe that some of my colleagues on the other side of the aisle, when they think of socialism, they think of communism and think of the government controlling everything and people being disempowered within democracy, and I think that's an incorrect definition, that's not how I define it," he argued.

Seattle police union leader blasts city law enforcement cuts, warns 'public safety on the line'

Seattle's crime increase will only get worse if the city's leadership continues to hamstring its police force, Seattle Police Officers Guild president Mike Solan told ӣ��Ƶ Wednesday.

“Clearly this is the result of the city council conducting activism via their governance, listening to the loud socialist mob that is calling for more reform, taking away budgeted money from public safety, which to me is unfortunate because regardless of your politics, we know that Seattle is very progressive,” Solan told "Outnumbered Overtime."

SEATTLE POISED TO CUT POLICE BUDGET BY 20%, SECOND MOST IN NATION BUT SHORT OF 'DEFUND' DEMANDS

Seattle's City Council voted Monday to cut the police department's budget by roughly 18% – a far cry from the 50% reduction that activists had called for – and reallocate “millions” of dollars to “fund community alternatives."

Members voted to slash funds meant for SPD training and overtime, reassign certain roles -- including 911 dispatchers, parking enforcement officers and mental health workers -- to other city agencies and eliminate unfilled jobs, according to officials and local news station KING 5. MyNorthwest.com previously described it as one of the largest budget cuts at any big city police department this year.

The council did approve the hiring of 100 new police recruits in 2021, which Mayor Jenny Durkan and other officials argued was needed.

According to the Seattle Times, the city's police budget will drop by more $30 million after growing steadily for years.

"The march to socialism is a very serious situation," said Solan, who predicted that such actions would "spread across the nation.”

“This is everybody’s public safety on the line," he added before warning that if the council continues to "quite visibly show disdain for law enforcement and take away money from us, people’s public safety is going to continue to devolve.”

Cotton warns Democrats will nix Electoral College, pack Supreme Court if they win Georgia runoffs

If Democrats win both Senate runoff elections in Georgia to gain control both houses of Congress, they will pack the Supreme Court, raise taxes and eliminate the Electoral College, Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., predicted Wednesday.

Cotton told “Outnumbered Overtime” that "many other Republican senators, including myself, are going to be in Georgia for the next eight weeks” to campaign for GOP Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler so Democrats can't “try to transform America.”

Georgia state law mandates a runoff if no candidate reaches 50% of the vote on Election Day. Perdue narrowly missed out on avoiding a runoff against Democratic challenger Jon Ossoff, who Perdue leads by roughly 90,000 votes.

Meanwhile, Loeffler -- who captured nearly 26% of the vote in a whopping 20-candidate race -- will face off against Democrat Raphael Warnock, who won nearly 33% of the vote.

DEMOCRATS URGING VOTERS TO MOVE TO GEORGIA BEFORE SENATE RUNOFF ELECTION -- IS IT FRAUD?

On Wednesday, Alaska Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan was projected to have won reelection over Democratic challenger Al Gross, giving Republicans 50 seats in the U.S. Senate compared to Democrats' 48. That means the Democrats must win both of Georgia’s runoff elections to make it a 50-50 Senate. In that scenario, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris would be able to break any ties in the chamber.

“It’s so vital that we hold the Senate majority,” Cotton said on Wednesday. “Chuck Schumer said it very well last weekend on the streets of New York, when he took a bullhorn and said, 'First we take Georgia and then we change America.'"

“If Georgia elects Jon Ossoff, a trust fund socialist, and Raphael Warnock, Jeremiah Wright’s biggest supporter in Georgia, they really will try to transform America," he added.

Warnock was one of a number of pastors who defended Wright in 2008 after audio emerged of a sermon in which Wright said “not God Bless America, God damn America.”

Cotton warned that if Democrats control the Senate, “they will pack the Supreme Court, they’ll make Washington, D.C. a state, they will outlaw anything but mail-in balloting with ballot harvesting, without any signature verification.”

Trump campaign's latest Pennsylvania election lawsuit will 'prevail': Tim Murtaugh

Trump 2020 Campaign Communications Director Tim Murtaugh told “Outnumbered Overtime” that he believes that the latest lawsuit the campaign filed in Pennsylvania will “prevail,” even though election lawsuits in other battleground states have been rejected.

Murtaugh claimed that Pennsylvania had conducted “an unconstitutional election,” explaining that “depending on where you were in the state and when you voted, you were treated differently.”

Trump has insisted that ballots have been improperly counted and argued that President-elect Joe Biden’s claim of victory is premature. Trump vowed that his campaign would continue to file legal challenges in states where Biden was declared a narrow winner.

The ӣ��Ƶ Decision Desk called the race for Biden on Saturday after results in Pennsylvania and Nevada put him above the 270 electoral vote threshold necessary to clinch victory in the Electoral College.

TWITTER FLAGS TRUMP TWEETS COMPLAINING OF 'BALLOT DUMPS'

The Trump campaign has filed suits in several battleground states where Biden leads by narrow margins, including Nevada, Pennsylvania and Georgia. It has claimed instances of illegally counted votes after Election Day took place, as well as that poll watchers were blocked from observing counting.

So far, lawsuits in Georgia, Michigan and Nevada have been rejected.

On Sunday, Rudy Guiliani, Trump's personal attorney, estimated his team will file four or five lawsuits over alleged voter fraud in battleground states by the end of the week and said Trump is right not to concede.

Giuliani told Fox Business Network's “Sunday Morning Futures” that his team may have enough evidence to "change Pennsylvania," claiming that hundreds of thousands of votes were "completely invalid."

He said that he planned to file a lawsuit in Pennsylvania on Monday “for violating civil rights, for conducting an unfair election, for violating the law of the state, for treating Pittsburgh and Philadelphia different than the rest of the state, which is an equal protection violation, which goes under Bush v. Gore.”

"We're at now 450,000 definite mail-in ballots that they separated from the envelope, threw the envelope away. We can never tell if they're valid or not," Guiliani continued.

On Tuesday, Murtaugh claimed that “Democrat voters in Philadelphia were called and said, you better come on in, there might be a problem with the mail-in ballot that you submitted and they were invited to come in and cast a provisional vote before Election Day.”

“That is not allowed,” he stressed, aruging that “Republican voters were not given that same opportunity."

He went on to say that those who voted in person in Pennsylvania, “were subjected to rigorous security standards,” which including checking ID’s and confirming signatures.

By contrast, Murtaugh added, "there were no such safeguards" for the more than two million voters who mailed in a ballot in Pennsylvania.

“You cannot have an election and treat different voters differently within the same state,” Murtaugh said. “That is a violation of the equal protection clause of the U.S. Constitution and it’s a very, very serious offense.”

“He will remain a force,” McCain told "Outnumbered Overtime."

“But, what we have seen by the outcome of this election is that Republicans are perhaps a little disgruntled with the party and want something better. We want civility, we want empathy and compassion ... and those are things that are not being represented right now in this White House and I believe are some of the reasons people did cross over the line and vote for Biden,” McCain said.

The Trump campaign on Monday said President Trump is “not backing down,” as his team mounts legal battles in a number of key battleground states where Biden led by a razor-thin margin.

Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien held an all-staff meeting at Trump campaign headquarters Monday morning.

“He still is in this fight,” Stepien said, according to multiple people who were in the room. “There is a process.”

Stepien added: “Have patience.”

According to people in the room, Stepien thanked the Trump campaign staff for continuing to do their jobs, and gave them an update on legal challenges and recounts in key states.

McCain, the widow of former Sen. John McCain, said the Republican Party “wants good leadership.” McCain said Americans want a leader to take control of the coronavirus pandemic.

“The base of Arizona is changing. We have a lot of new people coming in, folks are coming from different parts of the country. Plus, our Latino community is much more active now, which is wonderful, and we saw a turnout here that represents that,”

“I don’t know if we are completely blue, but we are not quite red as we used to be,” McCain said.

Ken Starr: 2020 election may be remembered as one 'where the ultimate results are called into question'

The 2020 election “may be viewed as the election where the ultimate results are called into question” because of “the lack of integrity or the appearance of the lack of integrity in the process,” former Whitewater independent counsel Kenneth Starr told “Outnumbered Overtime” on Thursday.

“Philadelphia does indeed have, sad to say, a very, very sorry history of voter fraud,” added Starr, a ӣ��Ƶ contributor who encouraged viewers to “simply look it up.”

“Voter fraud convictions in Philadelphia ... we’re not talking about rhetoric now, we’re talking about facts and the facts are that as recently as this year there has been a conviction in Philadelphia for voter fraud,” Starr went on.

In May, a former Democratic elections judge pleaded guilty for his role in accepting bribes to cast fraudulent ballots and certify false voting results in primary elections in Philadelphia, prosecutors said.

Two months later, a federal grand jury indicted disgraced former Pennsylvania congressman Michael “Ozzie” Myers, accusing the well-connected Philadelphia Democrat of election fraud during primary elections in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The indictment charges Myers with paying cash to an elections judge to fabricate votes for his clients.

Meanwhile, the Trump campaign has sued to overturn a Supreme Court decision allowing Pennsylvania officials to continue counting mail-in ballots until Friday, so long as they were postmarked by Nov. 3.

The Supreme Court last month ruled 4-4 to keep a lower court decision in place that allows ballots postmarked by Election Day to be counted for another three days despite a Republican request for a stay on that decision. Last week, the high court denied a Republican request to fast-track their appeal to block the extended deadline.

“There is an order from an appellate judges in Pennsylvania saying the [election] observers go in, in other words the Trump campaign has won this round," Starr said.

“So it now obviously depends on what the other side, the Democrats, see fit to do,” he continued. “Shame on them if they say, as they may in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, we don’t want observers in. Really? You don’t want checks and balances? Why? You need to answer that question.”

The “problem with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court," Starr said, is that “it is deeply partisan.”

The Trump campaign has also said it is filing a federal lawsuit in Las Vegas Thursday to stop the counting of what it calls “illegal votes” in Nevada. The campaign claims to have evidence that people who are deceased and nonresidents of Nevada have cast ballots in the 2020 election. Trump 2020 officials insist they are not seeking to stop the vote but rather ensure that every “legal“ vote is counted and that no “illegal” votes are counted.

Nevada, with its six electoral votes, has become a key battleground state in the 2020 race. As of Thursday afternoon, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden leads Trump by more than 11,000 votes.

During a news conference on Thursday, Clark County Registrar of Voters Joe Gloria told reporters “we are not aware of any improper ballots that are being processed.” He did, however, acknowledge that “mail ballots on this scale is very new to the state of Nevada."

“It sounds to me as if the process [in Nevada] is unfolding,” Starr told host Harris Faulkner on Thursday, noting that he “very much liked it” that Gloria “kept referring to state law” during the news conference.

“That’s exactly right because what is going to be an issue in other states is the failure to abide by state law,” Starr added, pointing to “the fundamental constitutional requirement that the legislature of the state is the boss.”

Starr went on to say that “it’s comforting to hear” Gloria’s view “that there is no voter fraud,” noting that “we will obviously have to see.”

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey will be subpoenaed by Senate Republicans next week and questioned on why the social media company blocked two New York Post articles alleging Hunter Biden corruption while his father was vice president, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, told "Outnumbered Overtime" Thursday.

The Republican member of the Senate Judiciary Committee told host Harris Faulkner he couldn't tweet out the second article while he was in the confirmation hearing for Judge Amy Coney Barrett earlier in the day.

"Let me be very clear, Twitter is interfering in this election. They are censoring the press," Cruz said, and further explained, "silencing the media is a direct violation of the principles of the First Amendment."

The "One Vote Away" author slammed Dorsey as "behaving as Joe Biden's press secretary," saying he needs to answer why he is "trying to hide Joe Biden from any scrutiny or allegations of corruption."

President Trump called for the repealing of Section 230 in reaction to the censorship and after Twitter blocked White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany's account.

"So terrible that Facebook and Twitter took down the story of “Smoking Gun” emails related to Sleepy Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, in the @NYPost. It is only the beginning for them. There is nothing worse than a corrupt politician. REPEAL SECTION 230!!!" Trump wrote.

Cruz pointed out the hypocrisy from the social media giants, stating that "Twitter and Facebook, they don't do this for all of the attacks on Donald Trump."

Twitter didn't block the New York Times' stories about Trump's taxes, despite them not being released nor the "now totally debunked" Steele dossier with "all sorts of scurrilous sex allegations about the president," Cruz said.

"People tweet about that all the time, but when it comes to Joe Biden, Twitter has decided that they are using their multi-billion dollar monopoly power to try to silence all discussion and keep the voters ignorant," he said. "It is big tech censorship has always been bad, but they really crossed a line in the last 24 hours.

Senate Judiciary Committee leaders announced they will vote on a subpoena Tuesday for Dorsey to testify before the committee on Friday, Oct. 23. Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., said he hoped the committee would vote to subpoena Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, too.

Cruz said senators should ask Dorsey: "What are your standards, Mr. Dorsey? Why are you choosing to silence this media story and not other stories? How do you determine who gets to speak in America and who doesn't? And how do you get to decide that you can use your corporate treasury to give what is, in effect, a multi-million dollar campaign donation to the Biden campaign, just 19 days out from an election?"

Cruz concluded Silicon Valley billionaires are "drunk with power."

The Biden campaign said the former vice president engaged in "no wrongdoing."

Jamal Brown, a Biden campaign spokesman, told Cheddar TV Thursday: “Twitter’s response to the actual article itself makes clear that these purported allegations are false and not true.”

Trump taken to Walter Reed 'out of abundance of caution' WH says

President Trump is being transferred to Walter Reed Military Medical Center "out of an abundance of caution," the White House said Friday, after testing positive for COVID-19 and experiencing "mild symptoms."

"President Trump remains in good spirits, has mild symptoms, and has been working throughout the day," White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement Friday.

"Out of an abundance of caution, and at the recommendation of his physician and medical experts, the President will be working from the presidential offices at Walter Reed for the next few days," she said. "President Trump appreciates the outpouring of support for both he and the First Lady."

Prior to moving to Walter Reed, on Friday afternoon, Dr. Sean P. Conley, the president’s physician, released an update on the president's condition.

“Following PCR-confirmation of the President’s diagnosis, as a precautionary measure he received a single 8-gram dose of Regeneron’s polyclonal antibody cocktail,” a memo released Friday afternoon by Dr. Sean P. Conley, the president’s physician, stated. "He completed the infusion without incident.”

"In addition to the polyclonal antibodies, the President has been taking zinc, Vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin and a daily aspirin," Conley said.

Trump announced early Friday that both he and first lady Melania Trump had tested positive for COVID-19 and will quarantine at the White House, sending shockwaves through the political universe and leading to an outpouring of support for the first family.

Both the president and the first lady are experiencing mild symptoms of the novel coronavirus, the White House said.

McEnany said Trump “learned of his positive test last night” and “within an hour we put out that information to the American people.”

When asked if Trump would address the nation about his health or stage virtual campaign events in the coming days, McEnany answered, "It’s safe to say you that you’ll be seeing and hearing from the president as he moves forward with his working schedule."
