Erika Kirk pushes back at online conspiracy theories about husband's death

Erika Kirk, the widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, fired back at conspiracy theorists who’ve leveled a series of unfounded accusations about the assassination of her husband.

"Can I have one thing? Can my children have one thing?" Kirk said on Wednesday’s "Outnumbered."

"We will be building the most beautiful memorial for my husband at Turning Point USA. And it will be for the world to see. And it will be spectacular... But can I have one thing?" she continued. "Can my babies have one thing where we hold it sacred, where my husband is laid to rest, where I don't have to be worried about some secular revolutionary coming and destroying my husband's grave while my daughter is sitting there praying? One thing."

"This is my husband. Yes, he was Charlie Kirk to the world. And I know so many people love my husband, and I am grateful for that. But this is my husband, and I want to be able to have one thing left that is sacred to our family, to my in-laws, to my babies, and to my parents. One thing."

Kirk insists the conspiracy theorists have taken "nothing" from her, telling ӣ��Ƶ’ Harris Faulkner she doesn’t have the time to "address the noise."

"My silence does not mean that I am complacent. My silence does not mean that somehow Turning Point USA and all of the hand-picked staff that loved my husband and my husband loved them is somehow in on it. We are busy building," Kirk said.

"And you know what I thought? I thought these people are human. We are all grieving in our own way, and they are trying to find the answer to something that happened that was so evil," she continued. "They are trying so hard, and I get that, we're doing the same. Any time we hear a lead or anytime we hear anything, we send it to the authorities. Please dig into this. No rock will be unturned. I want justice for my husband, for myself, for my family more than anyone else out there."

Kirk had a message to the conspiracy theorists: come after her, but not her Turning Point USA "family."

"Come after me. Call me names. I don't care. Call me what you want. Go down that rabbit hole. Whatever. But when you go after my family, my Turning Point USA family, my ‘Charlie Kirk Show’ family. When you go out for the people that I love, and you're making hundreds and thousands of dollars every single episode going after the people that I love, because somehow they're in on this? No," Kirk said.

"I’ve never seen you like this," Faulkner reacted.

"This is righteous anger because this is not okay. It's not healthy. This is a mind virus. Yes, I believe in our judicial system. I do. We have a hell of a team working on this — excuse my French — but this is not okay."

"So you want to put these people back in the box where they've been creeping from?" Faulkner asked.

"I don't care what box you're in, but just know that your words are very powerful. And we are human," Kirk responded. "My team are not machines. And they're not robots. They are human. We have more death threats on our team and our side than I have ever seen. I have kidnapping threats. You name it, we have it. And my poor team is exhausted. And every time they bring this back up, what are we supposed to do, relive that trauma all over again?"

"They watched my husband get murdered. I have no idea how I would have reacted if I was there that day. And thank the good Lord that I did not have to see that happen. But my team, they are rocked the core. So why every single day did they have to be dragged through the mud, analyzed, hyper-analyzed," she added.

Kirk went on to slam the "conspiracy collection," vowing she won’t back down from them.

"I'm not going to sit in a corner and cry and be in fetal position," Kirk said. "This is a duty to my husband, and it's an absolute honor. And I will never back down. And so, my message to them is to stop. To stop."

Parents send college kids back to school with Narcan to combat overdoses

For many college students, back-to-school prep isn’t just about dorm decor and classroom supplies. A growing number of parents are reportedly sending their kids back to school with Narcan.

Narcan is a popular brand name for naloxone, a medication that can quickly reverse an opioid overdose.

Once a prescription medication, it is now available over the counter for anywhere from $40 to $80, according to industry sources.

In a TikTok video shared on a Wednesday episode of "Outnumbered," a mother detailed the "college health kit" she made for her daughter to take to college.

"If anyone is ever at a party, or if anyone is in the dorm and has an overdose, it's probably good to throw in some Narcan," she said, holding up the nasal spray.

The "Outnumbered" hosts discussed the potential risks of students administering Narcan.

A recent article in the BU School of Public Health reported that few college students actually know how to administer the nasal spray, said Molly Line, ӣ��Ƶ correspondent.

"This huge comprehensive study was done a few years ago, and it talked about [how] just 15% or so could actually administer it effectively and be able to reverse the actual effects of the opioids in the case," she continued.

Some students could be concerned about being held responsible in the event of an overdose, Line also noted.

"Some universities have put in place what's called a ‘good Samaritan policy’ … In the event of someone having a drug overdose or alcohol issues, it’s OK to step in and to do something," she said.

Anchor and host Harris Faulker noted that some parents wouldn't choose for their children to receive Narcan.

"Maybe they would want somebody to call 911 first," she said. "I know you don't have a lot of time for a fentanyl, for example, overdose, but maybe your choice would be, no, you don't empower the kids to do this. You have somebody on hand who's a pro."

Paul Mauro, a ӣ��Ƶ contributor, said he supports college kids taking Narcan back to school, "just because the stakes are so high. You have people who could die … in seconds."

He also pointed out that most college students are 18 and can make their own decisions.

"You can go fight in a war. You can do all kinds of other stuff. Let's not infantilize them. Go out, be an adult now. These are the metrics. These are things you need to worry about. Go forth and make your own choices."

Co-host Emily Compagno noted that the U.S. has been "totally afflicted" by fentanyl poisonings.

"This isn't our college anymore. This isn't a Bud Light in a bottle anymore. Things could get really scary," she said. "So you need to be aware before you make those choices of putting something up your nose or in your mouth."

Kayleigh McEnany reiterated that "the stakes are so high and Narcan saves lives," calling it a "miracle drug."

"Obviously, we also need to continue fighting the fentanyl and opioid crisis," she said. "We need to fight the cause of these overdoses."

The panelists also noted that on some campuses, there will be people who are trained to use Narcan, and there could even be dispensers in dorms.

Mell McCracken, a certified alcohol and drug counselor and also executive director of No Matter What Recovery in Los Angeles, has seen more parents focusing on safety and education when it comes to substance use.

"This kind of open dialogue is prevention, and has already shown real benefits in addressing the opioid crisis," the expert told ӣ��Ƶ Digital. "Narcan saves lives."

McCracken recommends that kids and parents receive Narcan training, which is "very simple, accessible and straightforward."

"Kids and parents can complete a short, five-minute online course to learn how to administer it correctly," the counselor said.

"It is very low-risk, especially compared to the risk of not giving it during an overdose. If someone isn’t actually overdosing on opioids, giving Narcan won’t hurt them."

The news was shared Monday by McEnany’s co-hosts, who celebrated the growing family and miracle of life.

"We are overjoyed to announce the newest member of the ‘Outnumbered’ family," co-host Emily Compagno said. "Kayleigh and her husband Sean just welcomed their third child, daughter Avery Grace to the world."

McEnany shared her own birth announcement across her social media, writing she and her husband Sean Gilmartin are "so in love with our new baby girl" and enjoying this new phase in life. She also included a passage from Psalm 139 discussing the creation of life.

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well," she included on X.

ӣ��Ƶ’ "Outnumbered" panel were outraged over the news that Maryland Democratic Sen. Chris Van Hollen is planning to go to El Salvador "to show solidarity" with a recently deported illegal immigrant.

Van Hollen said he plans to meet with El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele to discuss the release of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, an El Salvadoran illegal migrant who was among many suspected criminals and gang members deported to an El Salvadoran prison last month.

Host Kayleigh McEnany pointed out that Democrats like Van Hollen, along with the mainstream media, have taken to referring to Abrego Garcia as a "Maryland man" despite his illegal status in what appeared to be sympathy for him. By contrast, she remarked on how there has been silence regarding the recent trial surrounding Maryland mother Rachel Morin, who was murdered by an illegal immigrant in 2023.

"I haven’t heard the media figures talk about the Maryland mother who was a U.S. citizen," McEnany said.

Conway praised Bukele’s response to the media by insisting that he cannot "smuggle a terrorist" into the U.S. and does not plan to facilitate his return. She also called out the media for ignoring U.S. victims of illegal immigrants.

"I’ve had it up to here," Conway said. "In the age of Trump, the media pretend they are trying to get the story. They are always trying to get the president and his advisors. I am sick and tired of these Democrats sticking up for other people’s citizens, putting America last. They are pro-China. They’re pro-El Salvador, MS-13 gang members."

She continued, "They have never said the words Jocelyn Nungaray or even describe her, 2-hour rape victim under a bridge by two people who should not have been here. Have they said Laken Riley, went and looked it up? Has Hakeem Jeffries said her name? The answer is no. They could not even stand up for her and her family when President Trump mentioned those names at his joint session of Congress a short month or so ago. This is who the Democratic Party is."

The Supreme Court ruled last week that a lower court's order "requires the government to 'facilitate' Abrego Garcia's release from custody in El Salvador and to ensure that his case is handled as it would have been had he not been improperly sent to El Salvador."

Abrego Garcia was granted temporary protection status in the U.S. by a court in 2019 from being removed to El Salvador, after it determined he would face criminal prosecution from gangs if he were removed to his home country.

The Trump administration later admitted his deportation was an "administrative error."

The panel added that the White House has said Abrego Garcia is a member of MS-13, whom the Trump administration designated as a terrorist organization earlier this year.

"Why are people willing to fight to get criminals back into this country?" panel member Harris Faulkner asked. "We can’t even handle all the ones who are already on our streets. Why do you want more of them? And two courts found this guy was a terrorist — I mean, a gang member tied to domestic terrorism. That’s what they are. They are gangs. So you want to bring him back into the country, and then you want this Sen. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland to go there to what, AOC this, stand by the window, cheer for him or whatever?"

ӣ��Ƶ contributor Guy Benson said regardless of whether Abrego Garcia has gang ties, he does not have the right to return to the U.S. because of his illegal status.

She added, "Engineers, scientists, artists, people like me that spend 10 years waiting to be naturalized as a citizen through the right process. Imagine if that same energy was put into repatriating that brain drain we have. The priorities, you know, get politicized, and we’re chasing a ghost while we’re losing talent to Canada, the U.K., Australia, wherever a lot of these migrants go because we have not figured it out for our own nation. It’s ironic. Those of us who have the process feel the pain of the double standard that comes with this kind of story."

Pardoned by Trump, pro-life activists break silence after being sentenced to prison during Biden admin

Pro-life activists sentenced to prison under the Biden administration are speaking out after receiving pardons from President Donald Trump.

"I have never, ever, ever seen any violence on the part of pro-life people," Paulette Harlow said in an exclusive interview with "Outnumbered" co-host Kayleigh McEnany.

Harlow, 75 at the time of her conviction, was found guilty of federal civil rights conspiracy and violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.

PRO-LIFE PROTESTERS PARDONED BY TRUMP, FOX CONFIRMS

"There were several things that were said to us. One was that this trial was not about abortion, which was sort of ridiculous, because that’s the reason that we were there, to stop abortions," Harlow said.

"To love the mothers and the children, but primarily to see if we could intervene and save the life of the babies. And saving the life of the baby, you often save the life of the mother as well."

Harlow was among several protesters sentenced for participating in an abortion clinic blockade in Washington, D.C., in October 2020. Prosecutors argued that Harlow and others forcefully entered the clinic, blocking doors with furniture, ropes, and their bodies. She was sentenced to 24 months in prison.

"These defendants conspired to use force to prevent fellow citizens from exercising rights protected by law," said U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves for the District of Columbia in a press release. "People cannot resort to using force and intimidation to prevent others from engaging in lawful activity simply because they disagree with the law."

The FACE Act, passed in 1994, prohibits threats, obstruction, and property damage intended to interfere with reproductive health care services. The law was enacted during a period of increasing protests and violence against abortion providers, including the 1993 murder of Dr. David Gunn.

Earlier this month, Trump pardoned more than two dozen anti-abortion activists, telling reporters, "We released 23 people that were unjustly put in and having to do with pro-life. And they will be released, and they’ll be out very shortly. It was disgraceful what happened."

"I was appalled watching Garland. He was isolating us and targeting us because of our pro-life stance. And especially, he was targeting Catholics," said Harlow.

Republican lawmakers have repeatedly accused the Department of Justice of holding an "anti-Catholic bias" in its handling of pro-life activists.

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., echoed these concerns on X, writing, "No administration in history has targeted Christians like the Biden Admin. We saw one persecution after another, from shutting down churches during COVID to raiding pro-lifers' homes at the crack of dawn. EVERY pro-life prisoner Biden wrongly imprisoned should be pardoned."

When questioned by Hawley about the DOJ’s treatment of Catholics, then-Attorney General Merrick Garland defended the department, stating, "Our department protects all religions, all ideologies. It does not have any bias against any religion of any kind."

Many abortion rights advocates criticized the pardons, arguing they signal Trump's opposition to abortion access. However, Trump has stated on the campaign trail that he would veto a federal abortion ban if it reached his desk.

On social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, he posted: "Everyone knows that I would not support a federal abortion ban under any circumstances and would, in fact, veto it, because it is up to the states to decide based on the will of their voters (the will of the people!)."

Among those sentenced for the blockade was William Goodman, who described the conditions he faced while serving his 27-month sentence.

"We went over two weeks without toilet paper," Goodman said. "And some of the guys mentioned that some of the men who were there with gender dysphoria, wearing dresses, could get mascara, lipstick, and perfume—but we couldn’t even get toilet paper or basic needs. So there was a lot of neglect."

While prosecutors argued that some of the protesters acted violently, Jean Marshall, a former nurse and sister of Paulette Harlow, denies those claims. Marshall was also sentenced to 24 months.

She described her time in prison as difficult but said she relied on her faith for support.

"We had a Bible study going, and a couple of the women joined," Marshall told McEnany. "They were so enthusiastic and thankful. One of them even said, ‘Now I know why I wound up in prison, so that I could hear this Bible study.’"

Despite the experience, Marshall said she has no regrets.

"I was so thankful to God that He could use me," she said.

A ӣ��Ƶ panel schooled "The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg after she accused Trump’s Health and Human Services secretary nominee, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., of fat shaming.

Kennedy has spoken multiple times about reforming America’s approach to food, particularly when it comes to controversial ingredients. He has recently encouraged Americans to embrace healthier lifestyles and healthier food choices instead of using new weight-loss drugs.

"Most people with diabetes or prediabetic can be cured with good food," he said in a recent public appearance. "If they choose instead to be cured by Ozempic, the government then pays $1,500 a month for the rest of their lives and with a fraction of that, we can give everybody organic foods, three meals a day in the country."

Goldberg did not respond well to his rhetoric, responding on "The View," "This isn’t just about food. This is – sometimes people are born genetically larger."

"You are setting folks up for shame," she said, addressing Kennedy. "That’s what you’re trying – maybe you don’t know what you’re doing. I’m gonna give you the benefit of the doubt. I’m gonna say you don’t know, and you don’t realize what you do to people when you say stuff like that, because it doesn’t work for everybody."

The talk show host said that less than two years ago she weighed close to 300 pounds and argued that without the weight-loss medication, "This would not have happened," showing her current physique.

Panelists on ӣ��Ƶ’ "Outnumbered" chuckled and rejected Goldberg’s rhetoric.

Dr. Nicole Saphier argued that, as a radiologist, "I see everybody’s insides and outside, and I can tell you that we actually are – the far majority of us – created equally when it comes to our insides."

"Now, Whoopi Goldberg is correct when she said there are some genetic and familial predispositions to people being overweight, specifically metabolic syndrome and some others, but RFK, Jr. is also correct, and I apologize, but the truth hurts. A lot of it has to do with lifestyle factors."

She went on to argue how consuming cheap, highly processed foods is leading to obesity in poorer areas.

"Unfortunately, what you see, especially in low-income areas, access to healthy foods is just not there, they’re certainly not affordable," Saphier continued. "They don’t get to go to the local market to get organic foods, in fact, they get the highly processed cheap stuff."

"That unfortunately, is what puts us into this dangerous cycle of unhealthy eating. It’s not necessarily because they are gluttonous, or they’re wanting to run their own health or their body or their lifestyles, but that is what they can access and they can afford," she said.

ӣ��Ƶ host Harris Faulkner read a quote from Kennedy that weight-loss drugs are an option, but should not be the first choice taken: "The first line response should be: lifestyle. It should be eating well, making sure that you don’t get obese. And that those [weight loss] drugs have a place."

Ian Prior, senior adviser at America First Legal responded, "I don’t remember Whoopi Goldberg upset with Michelle Obama’s school lunch plan back in 2010. There was no ‘fat shaming’ there."

"It is always the person delivering the message" that the left focuses on rather than "the message" itself, he said.

"How stupid do you have to be to not understand that being overweight is unhealthy?" ӣ��Ƶ anchor Julie Banderas asked, citing the rates of various obesity-related diseases and health complications.

"This isn’t fat shaming, this is wanting a healthy America. Right now we have an obese America. The numbers of overweight people in this country are astronomical. I, too, have lost weight. I remember what it felt like to be overweight, it was an awful feeling, so I can speak on behalf of those that have been struggling with weight loss and yo-yo dieting my entire life, it sucks," she continued.

"I mean it does not feel comfortable, but you feel so much healthier. Get out there and exercise! That’s what parents need to be teaching kids. Kids are on their iPads, they’re on their iPhones. We’re raising future fat kids! Honestly, and I’m not fat shaming, I just see so many children that are overweight, and I think that’s so unhealthy," Banderas added.

Saphier responded, "It’s very unfortunate what they’re doing, like on ‘The View’ and other ones, all they’re doing is praising these medications. While they do have a place for some people, there are also some serious consequences with it. And just in the last month, it came out that some breast cancer patients, their chemotherapy is not as effective if they’re on the medications. We just don’t know, so we have to move forward with caution."

ӣ��Ƶ host Harris Faulkner was honored last week as one of She Leads America's 10 2024 Christian Women of Distinction, for her positive impact on society through her faith.

After being introduced by Dr. Alveda King at the Sept. 26 gala at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., Faulkner thanked attendees for the recognition.

"I don't say that I am ever the type of person who the Lord would choose to use her voice to lift his name, because I would hope that he would have better soldiers. But He picked me, and He's made me loud since I was three," Faulkner said.

Faulkner, who hosts the popular ӣ��Ƶ shows "The Faulkner Focus" and "Outnumbered," said the honor marked a "suddenly" in her life, referencing the verse in the second chapter of the Gospel of Luke when an angel announces the birth of Jesus Christ to shepherds around Bethlehem, and they witnessed a sudden multitude of heavenly beings singing God's praises.

"So please look to your neighbor and say that I am your ‘suddenly’ tonight, and whatever it is that you're supposed to be doing and lifting your voice and making the world a better place and praying before, during and after the storms in life, suddenly go and do it," she said. So yes, I love watching you all turn and say that some of you didn't turn around, because I get the feeling that we pray so much as the people in this room that the people around us know.

"But it's my job to remind. The Lord put it in my divine assignment that he gave me to be a witness. And I've seen people at their best, and I've seen people at their worst. Television news has taught me to remind each one of them when I can, no matter what they think of people in the media, this one, who has a room full of new people and new friends, will always say, the Lord has brought me here to be with you at the best and the worst of your time, and I will tell your story. Rep. Lisa McClain, R-Mich., also presented Harris with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition at the Capitol, and her name and accomplishments were entered officially into the Congressional Record, honoring her Christian faith and service to the United States as a journalist.

Faulkner has been with ӣ��Ƶ since 2005.

Olympic organizers are facing fierce backlash from Christians and others worldwide about the opening ceremonies of the 2024 games after a skit appeared to mock Jesus' Last Supper.

The "Outnumbered" panel reacted to the mockery on Monday, explaining why many believe the segment was intended to offend Christians and how the controversial opening has impacted the real purpose of the Olympics.

"You can't tell me that it was not intentional. It was clearly intentional," ӣ��Ƶ contributor Charlie Hurt said during "Outnumbered" on Monday. "It's truly disgusting, but the other thing is, you're talking about the cradle of some of the most beautiful art in the world, and it's so ugly. The whole thing is so unattractive."

"You have all of these wonderful athletes from all around the world who are there, and… it's the whole purpose of the Olympics is to display unity and to have a place where the greatest athletes compete on a track field instead of on a battlefield, and these people just want to show their behinds… the display you wind up with is something that is not beautiful. It is ridiculous, and then… to boot, it's also really offensive to Christians."

The controversial Olympics display featured numerous performers, including drag queens and a large woman in a halo crown, parodying "The Last Supper," a universally recognizable painting by renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci of Christ and his apostles on the night of Passover before Christ’s passion and death.

The image sparked outrage among Christians and conservatives online, one of them being Catholic Bishop Robert Barron, who expressed disappointment that a country with such Catholic heritage would mock such an important event from the Gospels.

But those behind the controversial segment insisted the "mockery" wasn't intended to offend Christians, but to honor the Greek god of wine, Dionysus.

Co-host Kayleigh McEnany pushed back on those claims, arguing Christians should absolutely be offended.

"This was the most appalling thing without a doubt, and Christians should be deeply offended," McEnany said.

She also argued it was unfortunate there were sexualized images incorporated into the skit, given the purpose of the games is supposed to be unity.

"That's not what this is about," she said. "The Olympics are iconic, historic, and we celebrate athletes who have done this their whole lives work for this moment."

Paris 2024 spokesperson Anne Descamps addressed the backlash over the weekend. "Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group. [The opening ceremony] tried to celebrate community tolerance," Descamps told reporters, via Reuters.

"We believe this ambition was achieved. If people have taken any offense, we are really sorry."

The Olympic Games' official X account wrote, "The interpretation of the Greek God Dionysus makes us aware of the absurdity of violence between human beings."

"This really robs every athlete from the spotlight," co-host Harris Faulkner said.

"They are not the focus, and if they think they are, they need to look at the open of that show… They took a punch at us, and it's fair game for everybody, so I don't really understand what they think they accomplished through that IOC spokesperson, but I will never watch another opening.

"They won't miss my viewership. I didn't watch the whole thing anyway. I was so offended I turned it off, but I am tuning in for those young men and women who have given their lives as young people, teenage years to do everything they can to compete and represent their countries," she continued.

"I am concerned about them and I will watch for them, and I hope that they don't catch whatever it is that the IOC leadership has in France, because it's a disease and it's hateful."

Former WH doc says KJP citing 'security reasons' to withhold info about Parkinson's doc a 'ridiculous excuse'

A former White House physician blasted President Biden’s press secretary on Tuesday for refusing to divulge more information about a Parkinson’s specialist repeatedly visiting the White House.

A top neurologist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Dr. Kevin Cannard, met with Biden's physician at the White House earlier this year, White House records show, adding fuel to the fire of America’s national conversation about Biden’s mental acuity. Since then, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has fielded a barrage of questions, and while she denied the president has Parkinson’s, she repeatedly cited "security reasons" and "privacy" for why she must withhold some information.

"Outnumbered" host Kayleigh McEnany asked guest Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, whether there are any legitimate "security reasons" to not discuss public records.

"Absolutely not, Kayleigh," Jackson, who was White House physician for Presidents Obama and Trump, said. "That's a ridiculous excuse, and you know, the whole world can see right through it… We know that Dr. Cannard came to the residence medical clinic at the bidding of Dr. Kevin O'Connor, who is the president's physician. That's what we know. What we don't know is who he saw there."

He then made a key distinction between two nearby clinics, one of which is separate from the White House. Jackson said that Dr. Cannard specifically visited the residence clinic, the one which is "on the ground floor of the White House, directly below the president’s bedroom, and it’s reserved for care of the first family. So if he was seen there, and if Dr. O'Connor summoned him to be seen there, our question is, who was he seeing there? Was he seeing the president?"

Jackson again rejected Jean-Pierre’s claims about "security" and "patient privacy," arguing the White House could easily be more transparent.

"If you saw someone besides the president, just tell us that, OK?" he said. "Have Dr. O'Connor come down to the podium and say that. But the question is, did he or did he not see the president? Because he is a neurologist who specializes in Parkinson's disease and movement disorders."

"The sad truth is, the whole world knows that there's something wrong with this president. He's broken, right?" he added. "And maybe it's not Parkinson's. He said it's not Parkinson's, but it's very Parkinson's-like, it's some other type of movement disorder and some other serious cognitive issue. We need to know what's going on. We need to know what he's being treated for."

"We need to know that that happened, and we need to know why that happened. This is not a privacy issue anymore. This is our commander in chief. This is a national security issue. And if this man is not leading our country and he's not capable of doing so, the world and the country needs to know that."

In a letter released Monday night, O'Connor said Cannard was chosen for Biden's annual physicals "not because he is a movement disorder specialist, but because he is a highly trained and highly regarded neurologist here at Walter Reed and across the Military Health System, with a very wide expertise which makes him flexible to see a variety of patients and problems."

The president did not see a neurologist outside his annual physicals, the letter stated.

Former assistant U.S. attorney Andy McCarthy on Monday called for 25th Amendment hearings on President Biden after his very shaky performance at last week's presidential debate left brand-new questions about his mental acuity and ability to carry out his duties, warning that the "threat" environment today bears resemblance to "right before 9/11."

McCarthy, a ӣ��Ƶ contributor, made the comment on "Outnumbered" after he was asked about a pattern of concerning behavior by the president, including his disastrous debate performance last Thursday. The president was seen visibly confused at times, mouth agape, and frequently unable to complete sentences.

"I think it’s time to have 25th Amendment hearings," McCarthy said. "I don’t really care that much about the campaign when it comes to this issue…I started to prosecute jihadists back in the 1990s. The ‘threat’ environment we are in today is reminiscent of right before 9/11, except right before 9/11 we didn’t have war raging in Europe and the Middle East, where Israel is looking at a 2-front war now. It is crazy to have someone who is non compos mentis (loose translation: ‘of unsound mind’) president."

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) introduced legislation last week that would urge Vice President Kamala Harris to bring together executives of Biden's Cabinet and jointly declare Biden unfit to continue as president.

Roy introduced the resolution on Friday, calling on Vice President Kamala D. Harris to "convene and mobilize the principal officers of the executive departments of the Cabinet to activate section 4 of the 25th Amendment to declare President Joseph R. Biden incapable of executing the duties of his office and to immediately exercise powers as Acting President."

The resolution claims that Biden "has repeatedly and publicly demonstrated his inability to discharge the powers and duties of the Presidency, including, among others, the powers and duties of the Commander-in-Chief."

Section 4 of the 25th Amendment authorizes the vice president and a majority of the executive Cabinet to make the decision whether the president is fit to continue in office or not. The vice president could assume the presidency if the president is declared unfit for office by her and a majority of the president's Cabinet or Congress.

"There’s a lot of people asking about the 25th Amendment, invoking the 25th Amendment right now, because this is an alarming situation," House Speaker Mike Johnson said on Friday." Our adversaries see the weakness in this White House as we all do. I take no pleasure in saying that. I think this is a very dangerous situation."

Biden has faced severe backlash in the days following the debate, with many prominent Democrats and left-leaning pundits calling for him to drop out of the race over concerns about his mental fitness and ability to withstand his opponent.

There have also been reports of concerned donors and Democratic Party "panic" over his performance, but the campaign has thus far held firm that Biden, who already clinched the delegates necessary to win the 2024 nomination, isn't going anywhere.

Biden's campaign tried to explain his performance by saying he had a cold the night of the debate. Supporters of the president have conceded he had a "bad night" but argue that 90 minutes of a bad performance does not negate the accomplishments of his presidency.

Former President Obama conceded that Biden failed to deliver a strong showing but took a shot at Trump while defending his former vice president.

"Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself," he wrote on X.

Former President Trump said the criminal trial is having a "reverse effect," during a campaign visit Tuesday evening to an Upper Manhattan bodega, while vowing to "straighten out New York" by working with the Democrat mayor and governor if elected to another term in the White House.

Trump visited an Upper Manhattan bodega Tuesday evening after spending hours in downtown New York City courtroom for the second day of his criminal trial stemming from charges brought against him by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee pleaded not guilty to all charges brought by Bragg.

But after sitting in a courtroom for more than eight hours of jury selection, Trump made a campaign stop at Sanaa Convenience Store in Upper Manhattan Tuesday evening. Trump was met by a large crowd chanting "Trump, Trump, Trump," "Four more years," and "We love Trump." The crowd was singing the National Anthem.

Trump blasted the trial and charges against him, saying it is "rigged," "all politics," and "coming out of the [Biden] White House."

"It makes me campaign locally, and that's okay," Trump said. "We're doing better now than we've ever done, so I think it's having a reverse effect."

"We're going to come in – Number one, you have to stop crime and we're going to let the police do their job. They have to be given back their authority. They have to be able to do their job," Trump said. "And we're going to come into New York. We're making a big play for New York, other cities, too. But this city, I love this city."

Trump said New York has "gotten so bad in the last three years, four years."

"And we're going to straighten New York out. So running for president, we're putting a big hit in New York – we could win New York," Trump said.

Katie Couric torched for 'cringeworthy' condescension toward Trump supporters reminiscent of Hillary

Former NBC "Today" show host Katie Couric continued to receive backlash Tuesday after a diatribe against the purported ignorance of supporters of former President Trump that one critic compared to Hillary Clinton's infamous 2016 "deplorables" remarks.

Couric told liberal comic Bill Maher on his "Club Random" podcast that "socioeconomic disparities" and "class resentment" along with "anti-intellectualism and -elitism" is driving the populist, anti-establishment bent of Trump's supporters.

Couric suggested the United States' economic transition from industrial to technological has caused jealousy as well as a "corroding, bitter, almost bile feeling."

On "Outnumbered," co-host Harris Faulkner compared Couric's comments to those of Clinton, who told a New York City crowd while running against Trump in 2016 that half of such supporters of the Republican nominee can be categorized in a "basket of deplorables."

Clinton's remark received criticism and has been credited as one of the turning points in the campaign that led to Trump's upset victory.

ӣ��Ƶ contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier said the sight of Maher and Couric sitting in armchairs discussing such a topic was "rather cringeworthy" and that in a way, even with her own doctorate degree and place on the socioeconomic spectrum described by Couric, she, too, was offended by the ex-"Today" anchor.

"I don't even know what she's talking about at this point, and so I can't imagine what other people were feeling as well. And at the end of the day, yes, those who have higher socioeconomic stature, you know, they're not feeling the effects of the White House right now and the economics that are going on, the crime in their streets, in their neighborhoods and the cost of things at the grocery store," she said.

"Outnumbered's" "One Lucky Guy" on Tuesday, talk show host Ben Ferguson, echoed much of his co-panelists' sentiments, saying it reminded him of media figures assessing the need for "deprogramming" of Trump voters.

A former Missouri Democratic senator-turned-MSNBC regular demanded this week that the New York Times and other media stop fact-checking President Biden, suggesting not enough attention has been given to former President Trump's purported "vomits [of] lies."

"I move that every newspaper in America quit doing any fact checks on Joe Biden until they fact-check Donald Trump every morning on the front page," Claire McCaskill said, name-dropping the Gray Lady after it published a lengthy piece about the incumbent and going on to insist Trump's statements be annotated by the paper instead.

While reporter Angelo Fichera wrote that the Biden economy reportedly grew 3% in the past year, he added the president has also made "misleading statements" about taxation and the economy. The report listed several other Biden claims which were either flawed, false or lacked context.

On "Outnumbered," host Kayleigh McEnany remarked McCaskill might need factchecking herself.

"Let's fact-check the so-called facts of Claire McCaskill. It's exhausting," McEnany said, queuing up a scroll of all of the New York Times' past fact-check stories about Trump.

On MSNBC, McCaskill claimed it is "ridiculous" the Times was fact-checking Biden.

"I mean, [Trump] vomits lies… and it's just ridiculous that the New York Times is doing a fact-check on Biden while they're numb to the torrent of lies coming out of Trump's mouth," said the former lawmaker, who left the Senate after being defeated by Republican Josh Hawley in 2018.

On "Outnumbered," co-host Emily Compagno said McCaskill is essentially continuing the Democratic Party mantra that "the only lies that matter are the ones coming out of Trump's mouth, and that everything out of his mouth is a lie."

"They will never see [Biden] maintains over and over again concepts upon which he bases policies and his entire marketing campaign, including buying votes, on falsehoods," Compagno said.

Alluding to Matthew 17:14, Compagno added that mustard seeds can create and move mountains, and that in Biden's case, his proverbial mustard seeds are becoming a "mountain of lies" that now require an army of surrogates to assuage the public.

Retired U.S. Marine bomb tech Johnny Joey Jones added that people like McCaskill appear to misunderstand Trump's public comments.

"When Trump comes out and he uses hyperbole and is bombastic: ‘Get all the troops out of Afghanistan’ – Every American that doesn't hate Trump already sits there and goes 'he's wanting to try to get some troops out of Afghanistan'. They don't sit there and go: ‘Well, by that statement, he meant [get] every single individual out of Afghanistan’."

Jones said in comparison to Biden, Trump's penchant for hyperbole is "baked-in" to public assessment, and that fact-checkers in the press are often partisan against Republicans, not Democrats.

"That's why it hits harder and cuts deeper with someone like Biden, because he ran on this idea that he wouldn't be hyperbolic."

In July, McCaskill also made headlines for her defenses of Biden, after she claimed Republicans are trying to impeach him because of his love for his surviving son, Hunter:

"They are going to try to indict a father for loving his son, who has been addicted to drugs and/or alcohol, without evidence of the father doing anything other than loving that son," McCaskill told former Biden press secretary Jen Psaki.

Legal expert says Willis and Wade committed a 'crime' if they lied in court filing that contradicts testimony

ӣ��Ƶ legal editor Kerri Urbahn said on "Outnumbered" Thursday that Fulton County DA Fani Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade are facing a "legal problem" in addition to potential disqualification from their case against former President Trump due to allegedly having an "improper" affair.

Fulton County Superior Judge Scott McAfee, who is overseeing the sweeping racketeering case against Trump, heard evidence on Thursday related to the allegations.

A former "good friend" of Willis testified Thursday that she has "no doubt" the district attorney and Wade had a "romantic" relationship starting in 2019, contradicting Willis’ prior statements to the court. Willis claimed in court that she and Wade "have been professional associates and friends since 2019," and "there was no personal relationship" between her and Wade in November 2021 at the time of Wade’s appointment.

Civil rights attorney and ӣ��Ƶ Media contributor Leo Terrell said this "bombshell" witness testimony points to disqualification.

JUDGE WARNS FANI WILLIS OVER OUTBURSTS IN HEATED TESTIMONY

Urbahn concurred and went further, "I completely agree with Leo Terrell that the witness testimony this morning, saying that their relationship began long before they said it did in a court filing, would be grounds for disqualification if it's true. And not only disqualification, Emily, but also it's a legal problem for them, as you just mentioned, you know, to lie in a court filing. That's a crime."

She added that Republican state lawmakers in Georgia "have a number of people who are willing to come forward to testify against" Wade in this case.

"If you have a witness testifying that a relationship began long before when they said it did in a court filing, it's a big problem," Urbahn said. "I just think this is, at a minimum, this is a bad day for the Democrats' lawfare campaign against Donald Trump."

McAfee said on Monday that depending on his findings after hearing the evidence presented from both sides, Willis could be disqualified from the case.

Urbahn explained that if the district attorney is disqualified, it would be a "game changer" for the case because only then would officials question whether the case is so "tainted by their behavior that it would need to move to a different venue."

Urbahn went on to say, "Are they going to go forward with these RICO charges? I mean, they could drop the charges altogether because let's not forget what Willis is bringing here against Trump. She's bringing RICO charges, which at least at the federal level, is typically invoked against members of M.S. 13 and the mob."

"And so another prosecutor may take a look at this and say, okay, RICO, this is ridiculous," she said.

Willis charged Trump out of her investigation into his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election in the state. Trump was charged with one count of violation of the Georgia RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) Act, three counts of criminal solicitation, six counts of criminal conspiracy, one count of filing false documents, and two counts of making false statements.

He pleaded not guilty to all counts. Fulton County prosecutors have proposed that the trial begin on Aug. 5.

'Bombshell' witness testimony may lead to Fani Willis' disqualification from case: Civil rights atty

Civil rights attorney Leo Terrell said Thursday witness testimony may have provided the key evidence to disqualify District Attorney Fani Willis and prosecutor Nathan Wade from Trump’s trial in Fulton County, Georgia.

Willis verbally sparred with lawyers for hours at an evidentiary hearing regarding her relationship with the lead prosecutor she hired to bring the case against Trump.

Co-defendant GOP political operative Michael Roman alleged in court filings last month that Willis should be disqualified from the case, claiming that she financially benefited from hiring Wade because of their personal relationship.

ӣ��Ƶ correspondent Steve Harrigan spoke to "Outnumbered" co-host Harris Faulkner about how the judge presiding over this case warned that "even the appearance" of a conflict of interest or lying on affidavits could be enough to disqualify both from involvement from Trump’s legal case in Georgia.

Terrell agreed when he joined the segment, arguing the judge has key evidence today that may steer the course of the case.

"Well, I’ll tell you right now, the bombshell is the witness who testified that there was a personal relationship before the prosecution of this case, and that is the evidence that the judge will have to decide," he said. "Steve Harrigan said it best. Disqualification occurs if there is actual conflict or the appearance."

Terrell went on to say, "I would submit to you that the witness who testified on the relationship prior to 2022 is the evidence of the appearance of a romantic relationship."

The other notable courtroom event Terrell recalled was "Wade’s characterization that his marriage was over in 2015. He lost a lot of credibility, because the interlocutories that he answered deny the existence of any gift, dinners or anything else. That was a very creative argument on his part. I don’t think it’s gonna fly, because it doesn’t pass the smell test, those are the two facts that I think were significant today."

Faulkner noted the witness indeed was close enough to Willis to the point where she could testify about her life, in that "not only did she work in the District Attorney’s office for Fani Willis, she also rented housing out to Fani Willis when Fani Willis didn’t want to live at home anymore. She was renting a condo from [the witness], so they had a close relationship, they were close friends, that is what she called them."

Terrell was asked by co-host Kayleigh McEnany about whether progress was made in discerning the timing and financial aspects of Willis and Wade's relationship.

"Regarding the existence of a relationship prior to 2022, the answer is definitely yes, this friend of hers had personal knowledge," Terrell said. "She saw Fani Willis. She conversed with Fani Willis. Fani Willis told her that there was a romantic relationship, so definitely on that, yes, and again I go back to those interlocutories where Nathan Wade tried to conceal in his divorce proceedings, by way of interlocutories, the existence of gifts or dinners or trips."

Terrell went on to summarize, "I think there is evidence that the judge has now that he didn’t have 24 hours ago. And again, I cannot stress this enough, disqualification occurs, Kayleigh, if there is actual conflict or the appearance. We learned a lot today, the nation learned a lot, so I think those two components have been met."

ӣ��Ƶ contributor Jonathan Turley detailed how the Supreme Court had a "perfectly glacial" reception to the Trump ballot removal arguments presented on Thursday, arguing the left-leaning justices were the ones asking the tough questions as the 2024 election hangs in the balance. Turley gave his firsthand analysis of the oral arguments during "Outnumbered," as deliberations concerning the 14th Amendment continue.

TRUMP ASKS SUPREME COURT TO KEEP NAME ON COLORADO BALLOT

JONATHAN TURLEY: I think that the advocates for disqualification probably expected a cold reception, but this was perfectly glacial… The problem for [attorney] Jason Murray is that his toughest questions came from the left of the court. Many people have been saying how the conservatives are going to sandbag this entire appeal, and how they have to look deeply within themselves. Many of the toughest questions were coming from Justice Jackson and Justice Kagan, and Justice Jackson notably kept on raising this first question, which is, perhaps the presidency is just not covered by this provision.

And she has always taken a particular interest in the 14th Amendment and had said… it's plausible that he was not, and some of the other justices raised the fact that the 14th Amendment was designed to take power away from the states, and yet, as... Chief Justice Roberts said, you are curiously finding that there's a provision here that radically expands their power, and that seems to go against the entire tenor and purpose of the 14th Amendment. This was really a tough going. Jason Murray did as good a job as he could do. But I imagine he wanted to do everything short of pulling the fire alarm at one point because… he was just getting hit from all sides in this argument.

SUPREME COURT TO DECIDE IF TRUMP BANNED FROM COLORADO BALLOT IN HISTORIC CASE

During oral arguments Thursday, Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson questioned why the president was not listed in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

"Why didn't they put the word ‘president’ in the very enumerated list in Section 3?" Brown asked Colorado voters' lawyer Jason Murray. "The thing that really is troubling to me is I totally understand your argument, but they were listing people that were barred and ‘president’ is not there. And so I guess that just makes me worry that maybe they weren't focusing on the president."

Murray responded with a reference to history:

"This came up in the debates in Congress over Section 3, where Robert Johnson said, 'Why haven't you included the president and vice president in the language?' And Sen. Murrell responds, 'We have. Look at the language "any office under the United States.'"

"Yes, but doesn't that at least suggest ambiguity?" Jackson responded.

The 14th Amendment, Section 3 of the Constitution states, "No person shall… hold any office… under the United States … who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States… to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."

While acknowledging Golden's apology, former Democratic Pennsylvania Rep. Patrick J. Murphy condemned the letter and called out attempts to "divide" Americans on "Outnumbered" Friday.

A "privilege" list from the Johns Hopkins Medicine’s Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Health Equity (DEI) caused a backlash that quickly resulted in a retraction on Thursday.

The @EndWokeness X account released an unearthed newsletter from Chief Diversity Officer Dr. Sherita H. Golden on the January 2024 issue of Monthly Diversity Digest. The message included "privilege" as the "Diversity Word of the Month" along with a series of descriptions considered "privileged."

"Privilege is an unearned benefit given to people who are in a specific social group. Privilege operates on personal, interpersonal, cultural and institutional levels, and it provides advantages and favors to members of dominant groups at the expense of members of other groups," the newsletter read.

It continued, "In the United States, privilege is granted to people who have membership in one or more of these social identity groups: White people, able-bodied people, heterosexuals, cisgender people, males, Christians, middle or owning class people, middle-aged people, and English-speaking people."

Golden later apologized and expressed "deep regret" over the newsletter.
