Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer announced Friday his celebrity charity golf event at Trump National Doral in Florida is back on after the event was canceled following backlash.

Poyer joined ӣ��Ƶ’ "America Reports" Friday to announce the news.

"The great news is that the tournament is going to happen," Poyer said. "We had the most amount of tremendous support around the country. We had a sponsor — PublicSq — based right out here in Florida … they’re going to sponsor the entire tournament.

"And the tournament is actually happening July 10 at the same exact place."

Avalon Sports, Poyer’s representatives, released a statement shortly after his appearance announcing the re-scheduling of the tournament.

"We would like to inform the general public and media outlets that the Jordan Poyer Celebrity Open has been resumed and is scheduled to take place on July 10 at the Blue Monster course in Doral Florida," Avalon Sports said in a statement.

"We are grateful to announce that PublicSq will be our presenting sponsor for this year’s edition. We also want to highlight the outpouring of support that we have received from professional athletes, the general public, businesses and charitable organizations across the country. In the next couple of days, we will announce our athlete and celebrity lineup."

Avalon Sports initially announced the cancellation of the tournament over the weekend, saying the event would be rescheduled for next year.

"PublicSq is proud to partner with Jordan Poyer. We’re glad to see he’s standing against the cancel-culture mob that tried to shut down this charity event, and we will always support freedom-loving Americans like Jordan whenever there is an opportunity to do so," Michael Seifert, founder and CEO of PublicSq, told ӣ��Ƶ Digital in a statement.

Poyer took to Instagram over the weekend to announce the cancellation of the tournament due to teams and a sponsor pulling out due to the location of the event.

"Unfortunately, there have been numerous amounts of teams from up north that have pulled out, not just out of the tournament but also wrote emails to a big sponsor that was going to help sponsor my tournament," Poyer said in his Instagram video. "And that company now, it’s unfortunate that they have pulled out and decided that they don’t want to take part in my tournament in which they took part in last year, because of where it’s at. At the Trump National in Doral.

"ECMC decided they can no longer take the pressure from up top, from the people above them, and it probably has nothing to do with ECMC at all."

Susan Gonzalez, an ECMC Foundation spokesperson, told The Buffalo News the organization was the beneficiary of the event and not the sponsor.

"ECMC Foundation was fortunate to be a beneficiary of Jordan Poyer’s golf tournament in Florida," Gonzalez told the outlet. "Although the foundation was not a sponsor, we have had an excellent partnership with Jordan, and we respect his decision to cancel his tournament; we hope he will consider supporting us in his future events."

Friday's announcement stated that the proceeds of the tournament will benefit the ECMC Foundation.

"Our commitment with them remains intact, and we look forward to continuing working together to help improve the lives of those in need," the statement concluded.

Poyer has been with the Bills since 2017. He signed a two-year extension with Buffalo in the offseason. He was an All-Pro first team selection in 2021 and a Pro Bowler in 2022. Last season, he had 63 tackles and four interceptions.

Bills' Jordan Poyer cancels celebrity charity golf event at Trump course after backlash

A celebrity charity golf event hosted by Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer and set to be held at Trump National Doral in Florida was canceled over the backlash the event received, his representative said.

Avalon Sports released a statement on the cancellation Saturday.

"We would like to inform the general public and media outlets that the Jordan Poyer Celebrity Tournament scheduled to take place on July 10th has been rescheduled for next year. The tournament is a charitable initiative that Jordan has been working on for the past 6 months. Our main goal was to raise funds for the Buffalo community," the statement reads.

"This years’ (sic) event was being held at one of Jordan’s favorite courses in south Florida. The Blue Monster at Trump National in Doral, Florida. This is a PGA course where Tiger Woods won The Doral Open 2 years in a row back in 2005 & 2006."

"Unfortunately, we were sadly surprised by negative comments by some individuals to make this a political battle and continue to divide our community," the statement continues.

"We condemn any type of violence and stand by Jordan as he continues to work to make a positive impact and be a role model for our community."

Poyer said in an Instagram video that the ECMC Foundation was a "huge sponsor" of the event and took part in it last year. He also said some golfers withdrew from the event as well. Poyer lamented egos getting in the way of "being a good human being."

"They decided they didn’t want to take part in my tournament in which they took part in last year because of where it’s at, at Trump National Doral in South Florida," Poyer said. "ECMC decided they can no longer take the pressure from up top, from the people above them, and it probably has nothing to do with ECMC at all."

"I’m really thankful and blessed to have worked with the people that I have worked with at ECMC in the past two years. ... I’m not naive. I’m sorry, but I don’t. … I say the quiet part out loud a lot and some of you don’t like that. My bad. I still went and put my ego aside and went to go help those who needed help or needed a laugh."

NFL free agent Jordan Poyer isn't fan of states that 'take half my money'

Some probably think about it, but free agent star safety Jordan Poyer said it: Professional athletes are thinking about state taxes when thinking about where to play next in free agency.

There’s so much that goes into the free agent process, but the financials of new deals around the league are one of the main factors that entices a player to join a new squad. Of course, state taxes get involved when looking at the grand total on the game-day check.

Poyer has become one of the best safeties in the NFL during his time with the Buffalo Bills after joining them in 2017. He signed a four-year, $13 million deal back then and was given a two-year extension in 2021 worth $19.5 million.

Poyer went on to make first team All-Pro in 2021 and earned a Pro Bowl bid last season.

Speaking on his podcast this week, Poyer discussed where he might go in free agency and said that state taxes are among the boxes to check off.

"I would love to go to a state that doesn’t take half my money," he said. "It’s crazy to me how taxes work. Some people will say, ‘You’re already making X amount of money.’ Taxes play a big part in all of our lives."

In New York state, Poyer is in the tax bracket where he makes between $5,000,001 to $25,000,000 annually. So, that means he’s paying $450,500 plus 10.3% of the amount over $5,000,000 at the end of the day in taxes.

Though Poyer is living better than most because of his lucrative contract, those numbers don’t always add up the way people may think after paying his taxes.

Now, if Poyer played in Florida, it’s a different story. Florida doesn’t have state income tax, which is why many athletes are intrigued by joining a team down there.

The Miami Dolphins were brought up on the podcast, and Poyer is already friends with their quarterback Tua Tagovailoa despite being rivals in the AFC East with the Bills.

"If it wasn’t Buffalo, it’d be nice to be warm," Poyer said. "It would be nice to see the sun, maybe, every week or so. Every other week at least."

Poyer, though, is just excited to see where the free agency process takes him.

"I know how to play this game. I know how to prepare for this game," he said. "This offseason already has started off great, getting my body right. I feel really good right now."

Other than Florida, Texas, Washington, Tennessee, Alaska, Wyoming, South Dakota, New Hampshire and Nevada have no income taxes.

That means, if Poyer isn’t looking for big deductions from Uncle Sam, he can choose the Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks and the Las Vegas Raiders.

New York Jets rookie Garrett Wilson appeared to be upset with the officiating following the team’s loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Wilson had six catches on seven targets for 78 yards in the 20-12 loss. On Twitter, he lamented the lack of penalties called on defenders guarding him this season. He pointed to one play in which he felt like he got hit late while he was out of bounds on a tackle by Bills safety Jordan Poyer.

"I ain’t got a call all season… one ref told me ‘this ain’t O State no more.’ Crazy," he tweeted. "First patriots game @ home was when a ref told me this I forget his field number."

Wilson is likely subject to a fine for criticizing officiating.

Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer played in Sunday’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs, but getting to Arrowhead Stadium was no easy feat for the All-Pro defensive back.

Poyer was dealing with a collapsed lung before the game against the Chiefs, ESPN reported, though he was listed on the Bills’ injury report with a rib issue.

Doctors reportedly refused to clear Poyer to fly with the team to Kansas City because of the change of air pressure when flying.

Instead, the Bills arranged for Poyer and his family to go from Buffalo to Kansas City in a van. Poyer and his family traveled 973 miles in about 15 hours to get to the game.

"This is the next one, so it's good that we got [the win] going into the bye week," he said after the game. "Gotta get everybody healthy again and come back home against ... the Packers."

Despite the reported lung issue, Poyer played 100% of the defensive snaps. He recorded four tackles in the 24-20 victory. He missed last week’s game with the injury issue.

Poyer is leading the NFL with four interceptions this season. Additionally, he has 16 combined tackles and one tackle for a loss this season along with six passes defended.

Bills take advantage of Lamar Jackson's interceptions, Tyler Bass kicks game-winner as time expires

A clutch defensive play and ensuing fourth-quarter drive led the Buffalo Bills over the Baltimore Ravens, 23-20, on Sunday afternoon.

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens’ offense were driving on the Bills, pushing the ball all the way to the 2-yard line before finding themselves in a fourth-and-goal situation. But instead of going for the sure points with a field goal, head coach John Harbaugh decided to go for it, and the move didn’t work out.

Bills safety Jordan Poyer came up with a clutch interception on Jackson, who looked for Devin Duvernay in the end zone.

Josh Allen, the Bills’ Pro Bowl quarterback, didn’t let that momentum switch go to the wayside. He had a 12-play drive down the field to eventually have Tyler Bass kick a game-winning field goal as time expired to collect their third win of the season.

It was also a comeback win for Buffalo, as they were down 20-3 at one point in the game. But the Bills mustered up 20 unanswered points that began with an Isaiah McKenzie touchdown catch for four yards right before the end of the first half.

Then, the third quarter was all Bills as Allen scored on an 11-yard run with 3:26 remaining, and Bass knocked through a 51-yarder before that. The game, then, was tied at 20 entering the fourth quarter.

But Jackson’s interception on that fourth-and-goal wasn’t the only one as he threw one to Poyer on the previous drive, a ball intended for his favorite target, tight end Mark Andrews. Baltimore punted on their two previous drives as well.

Allen got things done in the air and on the ground, throwing for 213 yards on 19-for-36 with one touchdown and one interception while rushing for 70 yards to lead the Bills in that department with his scoring run as well.

Stefon Diggs didn’t find the end zone again this week after not doing so against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3, but he led the way with 62 yards receiving to lead the team on four catches.

Matt Milano led the Bills in tackles with 13 total on the day, while Von Miller collected a sack on Jackson.

As for the Ravens, Jackson finished with 144 yards through the air on 20-for-29 with one touchdown and his two picks. He also rushed for 73 yards on 11 carries. J.K. Dobbins found the end zone twice in this game, once on the ground and one through the air as he helped the Ravens collect the early lead.

Bills open training camp looking to shake sting of playoff loss to Chiefs

Try as the Buffalo Bills might in seeking to start fresh on a new season, the sting of those infamous 13 seconds still lingers some six months later.

In opening training camp on Sunday before a sold-out crowd of about 6,000 fans serving as a loud and boisterous backdrop of the sky-high Super Bowl expectations revolving around the team, the Bills were unable to finish the day without reflecting back on how their previous season ended abruptly in January.

The disappointment of blowing a three-point lead in the final 13 seconds of regulation of an eventual 42-36 overtime loss to Kansas City in an AFC divisional playoff remains hard to shake.

Quarterback Josh Allen declared, "We've got a new mindset," before adding: "We’re a team that’s got to find a way."

Without mentioning the playoff loss specifically, coach Sean McDermott addressed a question about expectations by noting: "The experience that we went through last season should help us this season."

And safety Jordan Poyer shook his head in recalling how ticked off he became upon being asked about what happened in those final moments while appearing on former Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill’s podcast this spring.

"That stuff definitely motivates you in the offseason. But obviously, it’s a new year," Poyer said. "You don’t want to dread in the past, because then you can’t look forward in the future."

For all the success the Bills have enjoyed in claiming two consecutive AFC East titles for the first time since a four-year run during their Jim Kelly-led heydays from 1988-91, the players have unfinished business to address no matter what the odds-makers suggest in pegging them as Super Bowl favorites at plus-650.

"I’m glad that the people like us. I appreciate that. But it doesn’t mean anything," general manager Brandon Beane said. "The AFC is stacked. I mean, whoever makes it out of the AFC (will have) had a heck of a year this year just looking at that gauntlet. I’m not even worried about the other half of the league."

On paper, at least, the Bills have reason to be counted among the NFL’s elite.

At 26 and entering his fifth season, Allen has established himself as one of the league’s top quarterbacks. The NFL’s top-ranked defense a year ago, meantime, upgraded a middling pass rush with the free-agent addition of Von Miller, the league’s active leader in sacks, who is fresh off of winning his second career title with the Los Angeles Rams.

"Yeah, it’s high expectations. It’s been high expectations for a while," Miller said. "Expectations are a privilege. Pressure is a privilege. There’s a lot of pressure here in Buffalo and we just want to continue to take it one day at a time and see where we can get."

POYER TALKS

Poyer expressed hope he and the Bills can reach a contract extension, with his new agent, Drew Rosenhaus, attending camp. The 31-year-old Poyer is entering the final season of his contract and skipped all of the team’s voluntary spring practices before attending the team's two mandatory sessions last month.

"Drew is here today talking things out with Brandon and I know they’re both working things out on each side," Poyer said. "I’m just really excited to be here with my teammates and to see the guys again and to start this journey and try to get better every single day."

Beane cited his policy of not discussing contract talks in declining to comment.

The Bills are back on the road for camp for the first time since 2019 after COVID-19 limited the team to spend the past two years at its headquarters in Orchard Park, New York.

Much has changed since the Bills last made the 90-minute drive east on the New York State Thruway to the St. John Fisher campus in suburban Rochester, where they’ve held training camp since 2000. Aside from the Division III school going from calling itself a college to university, of the Bills 90-player roster only 26 have attended camp at Fisher.

Each of the 14 scheduled practices are sold out.

Bills' Jordan Poyer taunts columnist after beating Patriots: 'What the f—k’s he got to say?'

Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer was elated after the team’s 33-21 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday after losing to them about three weeks ago in icy conditions.

Poyer’s first reaction wasn’t about beating the Patriots. It was about shoving the win into sports columnist Jerry Sullivan’s face.

"Where that Jerry Sullivan at? What the f—k’s he got to say?" Poyer was heard yelling on the way back to the locker room, according to The Athletic.

Poyer had three tackles and a tackle for a loss in the win.

Sullivan saw the tweet and reminded his followers he doesn’t travel for Bills road games.

"I guess he hasn't noticed that I haven't covered a road game since 2017. Bruce Smith did the same thing once. I've been called out by Hall of Famers. Glad to see he cares that much. He's lucky he has Allen on his side," he tweeted.

Earlier in the season, the Bills lost to the Patriots 14-10. Mac Jones only threw three passes as the Patriots dominated the run game in the wind and the snow that plagued the area. Sullivan asked Poyer and Micah Hyde if they were "embarrassed" after allowing 222 rushing yards in their Dec. 6 game.

"I mean, what kind of question is that?" Poyer said as Hyde replied: "Bro, what are we doing?"

Both players then pointed to the final score to show Buffalo’s ability to limit the Patriots to just 14 points.

"We made stops when we had to. They had one big run. I mean they got good [running backs]," Poyer said. "I mean, I don’t know how you want us to answer that question."

Bills star Jordan Poyer's wife, Rachel Bush, questions Pro Bowl snub: 'Can’t argue with stats'

Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer may have done enough to earn himself a chance to represent the organization at the Pro Bowl next year but was not one of the players initially selected.

Poyer, who’s in his fifth season with the Bills, has five interceptions and 83 tackles in 13 games for Buffalo. His wife, Rachel Bush, was not happy about the snub.

"Said it last year, going to say it again lol. Pro Bowl should have the PROS in it," Bush tweeted.

"Enough of this voting nonsense. Jordan and Micah (Hyde) are the best. Simple facts. Can’t argue with stats. FIVE picks. Top graded coverage. Give me a damn break.

The Pro Bowl voting is made up of coaches, players and fans. The AFC starters at the safety position include Kevin Byard of the Tennessee Titans, Derwin James of the Los Angeles Chargers and Tyrann Mathieu of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Poyer has more interceptions than James and Mathieu and is tied with Byard with five. Byard has a touchdown to his credit, though. Poyer has never made the Pro Bowl for as long as he’s been in the NFL, which is about nine years.

"#1 defense in the NFL and not a single defensive player from the Bills in the dang Pro Bowl. How is that a pro bowl then?" Bush added.

All hope is not lost though. It’s more than likely players will pull out over injuries or because of the playoffs. Poyer is a third alternate so he could still make the game.

Tennis star Jessie Pegula defends Bills players over heated moment with reporter

Jessie Pegula, an American Olympic tennis star who is the daughter of the owners of the Buffalo Bills, defended the players involved in a heated moment following their loss Monday night.

Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer gave a terse response to a question from WIVB-TV reporter and Niagara Gazette sports columnist Jerry Sullivan. Hyde and Poyer were asked whether they were "embarrassed" after allowing 222 rushing yards to the New England Patriots in the 14-10 loss.

After it was revealed Sullivan was the one who asked the question, Pegula said she wasn’t surprised.

"Lol makes sense now that I know who asked the questions," she wrote.

Pegula is the daughter of Terry and Kim Pegula, who bought the franchise 2014.

Poyer and Hyde immediately swatted the question.

"I mean what kind of question is that?" Poyer said as Hyde replied: "Bro, what are we doing?"

"We made stops when we had to. They had one big run. I mean they got good [running backs]," Poyer said. "I mean I don’t know how you want us to answer that question."

Silence filled the room before Hyde said: "That’s funny, we’ll remember that."

As both safeties got up to leave the room, Hyde referenced the question again, seemingly taking offense.

"It’s all about respect. I come here every single week and I answer your questions truthfully, honestly," he said. "I appreciate you guys, don’t do that."

Hyde told reporters Wednesday said he respects the work of the media but felt the question crossed the line.

"I’m never gonna attack you guys. My mom taught me better; my hometown taught me better. ... I really do appreciate you guys. I know your guys’ role in this whole situation. You guys are trying to get your job done and feed your family, just like I am. When it comes down to it, we all gotta respect each other, and that’s all I care about in this situation," he said, via Syracuse.com.

Allen, Bills D dominate White, Jets in 45-17 rout

Josh Allen threw two touchdown passes, Buffalo ran for four scores and the Bills' top-ranked ranked defense intercepted Mike White four times and smothered the New York Jets in a 45-17 victory Sunday.

It was an impressive showing for the Bills (6-3), who rebounded from an embarrassing 9-6 loss at Jacksonville last week by thoroughly dominating the lowly Jets (2-7).

Allen was 21 of 28 for 366 yards with TD passes to Matt Breida and Stefon Diggs with an interception. Breida added a scoring run, as did Devin Singletary, Zack Moss and wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie as Buffalo's offense looked alive and well.

Taron Johnson, Tre'Davious White, Levi Wallace and Jordan Poyer each intercepted White, who made his third straight start for the injured Zach Wilson — and it might have been his last.

Wilson is getting closer to a return from a sprained knee ligament and there was some speculation the Jets could continue with White even when the rookie is healthy. His performance against the Bills might have ended all that. White was 24 of 44 for 251 yards and the four INTs before leaving late with an injury and being replaced by Joe Flacco.

Jets coach Robert Saleh said White was cleared to come back, but Flacco stayed in to finish the drive.

A week after failing to get into the end zone at Jacksonville, Allen and the Bills wasted no time against the Jets.

After White and the Jets went three-and-out to start the game, Allen marched Buffalo down the field with throws of 11 yards to Emmanuel Sanders and 17 to Dawson Knox, back from broken right hand. After a 15-yard run by Singletary, Allen avoided a sack and found Breida streaking downfield for a touchdown and a 7-0 lead. It was Breida's first TD of the season in his first game active since Week 2.

Johnson easily picked off White on the Jets' next drive when the quarterback was hit by Efe Obada as he threw, causing the ball to sail right into the hands of the Buffalo cornerback.

The Bills took advantage, adding to their lead on Tyler Bass' 29-yard field goal.

Matt Ammendola put New York on the scoreboard with a 48-yarder late in the first half. But the Bills came right back to take a 17-3 halftime lead on Diggs' 12-yard TD catch. It came a play after Diggs nearly came up with an acrobatic reception, but his back foot touched the back line of the end zone. Diggs also had a 57-yard catch to start the drive.

Buffalo picked up right where it left off to start the second half, driving down the field 75 yards on five plays, capped by McKenzie's 8-yard TD run following a 24-yard gain by Sanders on an end-around.

White, trying to get the Jets' offense going, threw deep into double coverage on first down and Tre'Davious White intercepted him to give the Bills the ball right back.

And Buffalo kept going.

Allen connected with Gabriel Davis for 49 yards, and Breida followed with a 15-yard scamper to make it 31-3. Moss ran it in from 1 yard on Buffalo's next possession, and Singletary had a 2-yard TD run in the fourth quarter to complete the rout.

SLICED AND DICED

It was another brutally bad performance for the Jets' defense, which has allowed 175 points in its past four games.

That includes a 54-13 loss to New England on Oct. 24, a 34-31 win over Cincinnati, a 45-30 loss at Indianapolis and then Sunday's blowout.

STATS

Diggs finished with eight catches for 162 yards for Buffalo. ... Gabriel Davis had three catches for 105 yards. ... Michael Carter led the Jets with 39 yards on 16 carries, and also caught four passes for 43 yards.

JOE COOL

Flacco, making his first appearance for the Jets since being acquired from Philadelphia on Oct. 25, threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Elijah Moore for the game's final score with 2:08 left. It was the 225th TD pass of the 36-year-old veteran's career.

INJURIES

Bills: DT Star Lotulelei was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list a few hours before kickoff. ... McKenzie appeared to injure his right ankle late in the fourth quarter.

Jets: Rookie CB Brandin Echols left in the second quarter with a thigh injury and didn't return.

The Buffalo Bills found out Monday night football is truly a game of inches.

The phrase may be one of the oldest cliches in sports, but it was Bills quarterback Josh Allen who got the lesson in a 34-31 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Buffalo was looking to respond with 3:05 remaining in the game after Derrick Henry piled on his third touchdown of the game. Bills returner Isaiah McKenzie had a 101-yard kick return for a touchdown nullified after a holding call. The Titans caught their breath.

Allen would lead the Bills down to the red zone thanks to a 31-yard pass to Emmanuel Sanders and a 20-yard pass to Gabriel Davis. On 3rd &6 from the Titans’ 8-yard line, Allen tried to run for a first down but was stopped just short.

On the next play, Allen would try to sneak it across for a first down instead of kicking a field goal to tie the game but was denied by Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons after he appeared to slip.

BILLS TAKE SHOT AT TITANS OVER FAILED LATERAL DURING PUNT RETURN

NFL fans watching the game debated over whether electing to go for it instead of kick the field goal was a good idea.

The failed sneak attempt wasn’t the issue for the Bills in the end – it was King Henry.

Henry was the lone Titans player to score all of the team’s touchdowns. He had 143 yards on 20 carries with the three scores. He also had two catches for 13 yards.

Ryan Tannehill was 18-for-29 with 216 yards and an interception. A.J. Brown led the Titans with seven catches for 91 yards.

Allen had a good game despite the stop. He was 35-for-47 with 353 passing yards, three touchdown passes and an interception. Sanders finished with five catches for 91 yards. Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley and Tommy Sweeney each had touchdown catches.

Defensive backs Jordan Poyer and Kevin Byard each had interceptions.

The wife of Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer is fired up over a new local policy that will only allow vaccinated fans to attend games at Highmark Stadium next season.

Erie County, New York, Executive Mark Poloncarz announced Tuesday that plans to have a full house at both Bills and Sabres games next season will only happen if fans get vaccinated.

Two weeks later, you'll be able to fill out the pass, and in the fall, you'll be cheering on Josh Allen at the stadium," he said, via BuffaloNews.com.

The new policy did not sit well with star safety Jordan Poyer’s wife, Rachel Bush, who launched a tirade on social media, slamming it as "unconstitutional."

"I am alarmed by the amount of Americans that think it’s perfectly okay for the government to force an experimental vaccine on citizens. Very disturbed," she said one tweet.

"Here is the thing. If you can not function in society normally without getting an experimental vaccine...then there is no option, which means it’s forced. It’s their way or the highway and that is the exact opposite of freedom and a choice. We will continue to fight this."

Bush shared a petition on Twitter to change the mandate policy.

"All these 'mandates' are unconstitutional. Every case has been won as of late. New Yorkers if you cared and have been paying attention you would know this. You would know that once the Bills legally challenge this unconstitutional mandate- once again, we will win."

Bills' Jordan Poyer reveals struggle with alcoholism on anniversary of going sober

Buffalo Bills defensive back Jordan Poyer shared a message to his social media followers Saturday on the anniversary of him quitting drinking.

Poyer, who is coming off of his fourth season with the Bills, tried to help followers dealing with the same problems he was dealing with in a lengthy message on Instagram.

"I’m writing this knowing there are others out there like me that realize they too need help. My first step was realizing I had a drinking problem. Cause I did. I couldn’t drink just to hang. When I drank I had to drink to get F’d up. I used alcohol to avoid all my issues in real life. My family, my job, my friends ... when I drank I could forget all of my issues. I didn’t have to deal with them face on. After we lost to Houston in 2019, I felt I didn’t play the way I wanted to and we lost in such a bad way that for the next 5 weeks after that game I drank every damn day. Stressed about my contract, stressed with family, stressed about life I just didn’t know any other way to cope," he wrote.

"My wife had seen it first hand and honestly if it wasn’t for her & the consistent support from my family and friends idk where I would be. I remember days she would cry because I just couldn’t put a beer down. I remember not being able to play with Aliyah cause I was too intoxicated. I remember feeling thoughts in my head; that would scare the hell out of sober me now.

In 2020, Poyer played in all 16 games for the Bills for the third consecutive season.

He recorded two interceptions, five pass defenses and a career-high 124 tackles.

Bills players heard the Josh Allen bashing from ESPN personality Dominque Foxworth, a former NFL cornerback and chief operating officer of the National Basketball Players Association, on a podcast earlier this week.

"I am fully aware that I have biases. And my biases are not based on Josh Allen. It’s based on the people that are defending Josh Allen. I would be 100% lying if I said that when Josh does something dumb, a little part of me doesn’t get happy. And it’s not because I don’t want Josh to succeed," Foxworth said on Bomani Jones’ podcast, via Outkick.

"It’s because the people who are telling me that Josh is the second coming and Josh is better than everybody are people with American flags and dogs and skulls and crossbones. … If you go just take a dip into their tweet history, it’s some really concerning retweets and likes. … It’s not about Josh."

Jordan Poyer and Jonathan Feliciano responded to the criticism.

Bills used JuJu Smith-Schuster's logo dance as motivation to win over Steelers

The Buffalo Bills did not take kindly to JuJu Smith-Schuster’s pregame ritual of dancing on the opposing team’s logo and in fact used the slight to power a 26-15 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, handing them their second straight loss of the season.

The young wide receiver went viral on social media this season after performing popular TikTok dances on the logos of his opponents -- great for when your team is undefeated.

Smith-Schuster didn’t let last week’s loss against the Washington Football Team discourage him from dancing on the Bills logo at center field during warm-ups and Buffalo wasn’t happy about it.

Josh Allen gathered his team in the tunnel before kickoff and had a simple message: "Let them do all the talking and the f---ing dancing, we f---ing work.”

Bills defensive back Jordan Poyer doubled down on that, telling Syracuse.com that seeing the mockery on the field lit a fire in the team.

“We felt the momentum of the game swing,” he said. “And I ain’t going to lie. Seeing them dancing on our logo pre-game and seeing all that, that turns you up a little bit. It kind of gives you a little second itch to come out and play with some extra fire. We were hyped up on the sideline, we had a big win. And we were just having fun.”

The Bills came out and won for a sixth time in seven outings, inching closer to claiming their first AFC East title since 1995 and third playoff berth in four seasons. The Steelers, on the other hand, are slipping further away from their former undefeated selves.

Pittsburgh has been held under 20 points in three straight games, and was coming off a loss to Washington in which coach Mike Tomlin called out his team’s sluggish running attack and receivers for their dropping passes

Josh Allen led the Buffalo Bills to a wild victory against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday to remain undefeated for the 2020 season.

The Bills blew a 25-point lead in the second half after going up 28-3 in the third quarter. Buffalo rectified that when Allen completed a 3-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Kroft with 15 seconds left.

The touchdown pass helped the Bills seal the game.

Allen finished 24-for-33 with 311 passing yards, four touchdown passes, a rushing touchdown and an interception. Kroft had four catches for 24 yards and two touchdown passes. Stefon Diggs and Lee Smith also had touchdown catches.

Cole Beasley led the Bills with six catches for 100 yards.

BROWNS, WASHINGTON COACHES MAKE NFL HISTORY IN WEEK 3

The Rams got 114 rushing yards and a touchdown from Darrell Henderson. Jared Goff was 23-for-32 with 321 yards, two touchdown passes and an interception. Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods each had a touchdown catch.

Buffalo’s Jordan Poyer and Taron Johnson had more than 10 tackles. Poyer finished with 14 and Johnson had 11. Los Angeles’ Aaron Donald had two sacks in the game. Los Angeles sacked Allen four times.

Buffalo has now won its first three games in consecutive seasons. The last time the franchise did that was in 1991 and 1992. It’s the third time the team has done that overall.
