Carrie Underwood surprises 'American Idol' contestant with Tiffany jewelry and handwritten note

Hannah Harper's audition song 'String Cheese' about her postpartum depression struggle moved Underwood to tears earlier this season

Carrie Underwood is getting called out for her generosity.

An "American Idol" contestant revealed on Monday that the superstar judge had gifted her with jewelry from Tiffany and sent her a handwritten note congratulating her on making it to the top 11 on the reality singing competition.

"Didn’t think my first piece of Tiffany & Co. jewelry would come from Carrie Underwood," Hannah Harper wrote along with a crying emoji on Facebook. She added, "But truly, the part that got me the most was the handwritten note. That meant more than anything. Just her taking the time to do that… it says everything about who she is. Y’all, she’s as down-to-earth and genuine as they come. Just a good, kind human. I love her dearly," Harper wrote.

Harper shared a photo of the Tiffany packaging and Underwood’s note in which she congratulated her, writing, "From the first time I laid eyes on you and heard your story and your voice, I knew you were special."

CARRIE UNDERWOOD WARNS HOLLYWOOD IS A 'SELF-SERVING BUSINESS,' CREDITS FAITH FOR KEEPING HER GROUNDED

She added that women and moms everywhere have related to Harper’s story, calling her an "inspiration."

The aspiring singer sang an original song about her struggle with postpartum depression in her "American Idol" audition.

"You’re like my favorite person," Underwood told Harper before she sang. "You’re wearing handmade clothes. You’re singing songs called ‘String Cheese.’"

'AMERICAN IDOL' JUDGE CARRIE UNDERWOOD BREAKS DOWN IN TEARS OVER TEEN'S EMOTIONAL TRIBUTE AUDITION

Harper emotionally explained that she wrote "String Cheese" after the birth of her youngest son, who she said was now a year old.

"And my youngest son — I was just having a pity party, praying that the Lord would calm my spirit—" and my son kept coming up to me, and he said, ‘Hey, Mom, open this. Open my cheese.’"

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

And she said after she opened his string cheese, she realized God had put her in that position and "my house was the biggest ministry that I could ever have, and being a mom, so I gathered myself off the couch and I quit throwing a pity party, and I realized that was exactly what I wanted."

She added that she "kicked the postpartum depression in the butt and I said, ‘I ain’t doing it.’"

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? You’re gorgeous, like you look like someone who’s famous already. I think you just have a beautiful simplicity to your voice."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

The "Before He Cheats" singer added that she would be thinking about Harper and what song she plans to sing next in the competition.

"I feel like I’m just going to be rooting for you," she admitted. "I loved everything about everything you just did."

‘Yellowstone’ star Luke Grimes reveals outlaw country was 'no-go' in pastor father’s house

The actor and musician says secular music was banned in his household unless it was oldies or Elvis

Though Luke Grimes grew up on country music as a child, the "outlaw" western tunes weren't always accepted in his household.

During an interview with Taste of Country, Grimes, best known for his role as Kayce Dutton in "Yellowstone" and its spinoff, "Marshals," opened up about following his parent's strict rules when it came to music and explained how he was able to "break out" the outlaw music.

"My way into country was through my father, who whenever we would go on hunting trips or trips with just the boys, he would play all his favorite old outlaw country stuff," Grimes told the outlet.Â

"He grew up on, you know, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, all that stuff.

‘MARSHALS’ STAR LUKE GRIMES ON WHY HE AND HIS WIFE DITCHED HOLLYWOOD FOR MONTANA

"So, we weren't really allowed to listen to it when mom was around," he continued. "My dad was a pastor, and so secular music was sort of a no-go unless it was oldies or Elvis. Those are allowed for some reason. My mom loves Elvis. But it was like only on these certain hunting trips that we were allowed to be the boys and break out the outlaw music. That was my way in."

Grimes, who began playing the drums at just 11 years old, has always had close ties to country music.

"Country music's something I was raised on," Grimes said during an interview with Boot Barn in 2023. "In Dayton, Ohio, where I grew up, there's more country stations than any other station. It was just a huge part of my upbringing."

At 18 years old, Grimes took a leap and moved to New York City to pursue a career in music and acting.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

"The biggest challenge with any art form is making things that you're proud of and that other people like," he told Boot Barn. "It doesn’t need to be a huge financial success. I just hope it connects with people."

After landing his life-changing role of Kayce in "Yellowstone," Grimes thought it was the right time to relaunch his music career.

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? "But to the people who are used to seeing me over here in this lane, it's going to be a challenge to get them to accept me in another. It might help me get more attention, but then it better be good, or it's going to end right away.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

"As a musician you really have to put yourself out there, open yourself up, and say, ‘These are my thoughts, my feelings. And if they reject it and don't like it, that could really hurt."

Grimes' sophomore album, "Red Bird," is out now.

Billy Ray Cyrus urges prayer for Trump, says being commander in chief is a 'tough job'

Country star endorsed Trump's 2024 re-election bid after previously describing himself as a Democrat

Country music legend Billy Ray Cyrus defended President Donald Trump in a new interview, calling the presidency a "tough job" and urging Americans to pray for the country.

While discussing his upcoming album, the conversation turned to politics, and when asked if the president should be less divisive, Cyrus pointed to his upbringing.

"I can’t speak to his voice — he’s the president," Cyrus told Sky News. "My dad was a Democrat and served in the Kentucky legislature for over 20 years, but my dad always said, ‘When the president asks you to do something, you do it, son.’"

The country star has spanned both sides of the political aisle, describing himself as a Democrat before endorsing Trump’s re-election bid in 2024 with a photo of the two together. He also played at the Liberty Ball in January 2025 to mark Trump’s return to the White House.

COUNTRY STAR TRACY LAWRENCE CALLS OUT ‘DIVISIVE’ POLITICAL CLIMATE: MUSIC SHOULD BRING US 'ALL TOGETHER’

Cyrus said he respects the office of the president, regardless of party.

"I’ve had both Democratic and Republican presidents. Served with Bill Clinton, with President Obama. Mr. Bush, Mr. Bush’s dad and Mr. Trump," Cyrus said.

"Being president’s a tough job. I pray for our country. I pray for our president and I pray for our world," he added.

The singer’s performance at the Liberty Ball drew criticism online after technical glitches. Cyrus later told People magazine the honor of the invitation outweighed the equipment issues.

JOHN RICH CHOOSES 'A BLOODY NOSE' OVER STAYING SILENT IN THE FACE OF CANCEL CULTURE

"I wouldn’t have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar and monitors worked or not. I was there because President Donald J. Trump invited me."

"I had a ball at the Liberty Ball last night, and I’ve learned through all these years when the producer says, 'You’re on,' you go entertain the folks even if the equipment goes to hell. I was there for the people, and we had a blast. That’s called rock ;n' roll!!!"

Shortly after the performance, his adopted son Trace Cyrus posted a public message, saying he was unsure what the singer was "struggling with" and that the family is concerned.

COUNTRY STAR ZAC BROWN WARNS ‘POVERTY OF SPIRIT’ AND LACK OF STRUGGLE ARE RUINING AMERICAN KIDS

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

"We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns.
Country star Ella Langley says 'very scary' Alabama church haunted house led to her getting 'saved again'

Country star told Theo Von she was homeschooled and her life revolved entirely around church in rural Alabama

Ella Langley is opening up about what it was like for her growing up in a small town as a Southern Baptist.

During an interview on the "This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von" podcast, the 26-year-old country music star spoke about her upbringing in a small town in Alabama, recalling getting scared in the church's "judgment houses."

"It's, like, they do it around Halloween," she said. "It's like a haunted house for Christians, I guess. Very scary. I remember our youth group took us. You get in there, and it's like this car crash scene, and it's pretty much like convincing you… that you could die the second you walk out of here, so you better settle up. You better get saved."

She explained that the haunted houses "affected me so bad" that when they asked her youth group if anyone wanted to talk, she raised her hand and "got saved again."

CARRIE UNDERWOOD WARNS HOLLYWOOD IS A 'SELF-SERVING BUSINESS,' CREDITS FAITH FOR KEEPING HER GROUNDED

The "Excuse the Mess" singer recalled her dad telling her, "Well, you are kind of a dumba--, cuz that's the whole point of being saved."

Langley explained that she was homeschooled for many years, and her life consisted of going to church, noting, "Pretty much all we did was go to church."

She noted it was a "really, really small church. It started in a barn. The house that I also grew up in, my dad grew up in, and there was an old barn across the street, and it started in hay bales on that barn, and then they moved it to a church, and I mean every Sunday and Wednesday until I was 18 years old."

She compared growing up in a small town to her experience with fame, explaining, "You've known all these people your whole life," and growing up in that environment, "I would hear s--- about me all the time," adding, "you just get used to that."

COUNTRY MUSIC STAR ELLA LANGLEY JOINS SYDNEY SWEENEY AS AMERICAN EAGLE'S NEW 'DENIM DARLING'

Langley began her career on social media, gaining a following by posting covers on TikTok and Instagram, leading her to release her EP "Excuse the Mess" in 2023.

The EP helped solidify her fan base and included many of her early hits, including "If You Have To" and "Country Boy's Dream Girl." She achieved mainstream success when she collaborated with Riley Green on her hit song "You Look Like You Love Me," which went viral on TikTok, got millions of streams on Spotify and Apple Music, and expanded her audience.

Her debut studio album, "Hungover," was released in August 2024, and in April 2025, Langley was presented with the ACM New Female Artist of the Year award by country icon Miranda Lambert, who has become a good friend to the budding star.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

"I was singing constantly as a kid. "Storytelling is what my family did," she said.

When speaking with Theo Von on the podcast, she credited her grandparents on her father's side for nurturing her love of music, saying her "grandpa could play anything by ear."

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? I learned how to read from singing hymnals," she added.
Kacey Musgraves details 'craziest' UFO experience she had on a flight from Texas to Tennessee

The orbs followed the plane for 45 minutes, changing color and 'forming triangle patterns,' Musgraves said

Kacey Musgraves had an out-of-this-world experience on a recent flight.

In a series of Instagram stories, the "Space Cowboy" singer detailed "the craziest f---ing orb, UFO experience" she had while on a recent flight from Fort Worth, Texas, to Nashville, Tennessee.

"I've seen many crazy things. I've seen fire burning in the sky, things that I can't explain, so this is not the first time," she said. "I was about to lay down and take a nap, and I saw these lights that caught my eye that just didn’t look norma. And I watched them for a minute."

She went on to explain that she "watched them for about 45 minutes," noting they were "about 50,000 feet up."

MIRANDA LAMBERT’S BLUNT ADVICE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING FOR PARKER MCCOLLUM’S CAREER

Musgraves described them as being "an orange-ish color" at times, but then "sometimes they would get extremely bright and change color, change size."

"These orbs were not moving like any craft that we can control. They were intermittently coming and going, forming triangle patterns," she explained. "The craziest thing is … so they were following us from about the Little Rock area. That's when I noticed them all the way to Nashville."

The "Merry Go Round" singer shared that once they landed in Nashville, the pilots exited the cockpit and "were laughing" as they told the passengers on the plane that "we've seen these every single night, and all the other pilots are seeing them too. And nobody knows what they are."

She said one of the pilots shared that he saw them recently while flying in New York, and the other said he saw them while in Dallas.

"S--- is weird, but um, here for it! I am open to it, I'm here for it," Musgraves said before adding that the orbs "were changing direction with us, [and] they were following the plane."

Musgraves shared videos of the orbs in subsequent stories, but noted they look as if they were taken "on a f---ing toaster" and that they were difficult to capture "because they were far off, and it’s nighttime."

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

The country star is gearing up for the release of her latest studio album, "Middle of Nowhere," set to drop in early May.

During an interview with NPR in March, she shared that the album will feature a collaboration with Miranda Lambert. Musgraves said even though they had lost touch over the years "and wouldn't consider each other friends," she chose to reach out to the singer after seeing her riding horses on Instagram.

"Wait, that could be a really funny song. What if it's a duet with her? What if I got her to write on it?" she recalled thinking. "I just randomly reached out to her, and I was like, 'I know we've had our s--- over the years, but listen, we've at least got two things in common.Â

"I'm not trying to be your friend. You got your life, I have mine. But I think this would be a pretty f---ing funny song, and we should write it with Shane [McAnally].' And she was like, 'Hell yeah, I'm in, let's do it.'"

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? CLICK HERE FOR MORE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

The two powerhouse country singers were rumored to have been feuding since 2013, when the song, "Mama's Broken Heart" was included on Lambert's album, "Four the Record," when it was originally intended to be Musgraves' first single.

Musgraves explained that she had "a lot of excitement" around her and the song at the time, but it was pitched to Lambert "without my knowledge or consent." Lambert "ended up loving the song, and she really wanted it." Ultimately, it ended up being a good thing, as Musgraves went on to write "Merry Go Round."

Musgraves called working with Lambert a "full-circle" moment, saying they "aired out any of the old laundry" and were able to write the whole song in just a few hours.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Stevens was briefly hospitalized in the Nashville area and is 'in good spirits as he continues his recovery'

Legendary country singer Ray Stevens is on the mend after suffering a broken neck in a serious fall late last month.Â

According to a press release obtained by Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital, the 87-year-old two-time Grammy Award winner was taken to the hospital following his fall on Sunday, March 29.Â

"He was briefly hospitalized in the Nashville area and is now recovering at home," the press release read.

Stevens will wear a neck brace for "approximately four weeks" per the advice of his doctors.

DEAD KENNEDYS FRONTMAN JELLO BIAFRA HOSPITALIZED AFTER SUFFERING HEMORRHAGIC STROKE

"Despite the injury, he remains fully mobile and in good spirits as he continues his recovery," the press release added.

Meanwhile, Stevens’ upcoming album, "Favorites Old & New," is still set for release this Friday through Curb Records. "Favorites Old & New," which includes 13 tracks, "features a curated mix of beloved standards alongside new selections from a range of talented songwriters, offering both nostalgia and discovery in one cohesive project."

COUNTRY SINGER J.D. "It really does contain a few of my favorite old songs as well as favorite new ones penned by some talented writers. I just hope Ray Stevens fans enjoy it as much as Ray Stevens!"

"Stevens appreciates any thoughts and prayers during his recovery," the press release concluded.Â

The "Everything is Beautiful" singer previously experienced a health scare in July 2025.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

After complaining of chest pains on July 4, Stevens was admitted to a hospital in Nashville. "He will be recovering for a few weeks at home. There will be a few additional procedures to perform once he’s recovered but things went really well."

Due to his health issues, Stevens canceled his performances at Nashville's CabaRay Showroom for the remainder of the month.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Prior to his release from the hospital, Stevens' official Instagram account provided a positive update on the singer's health.Â

"Ray is out of ICU and beginning to walk the halls as therapy with a nurse’s assistance as he is working towards recovering from this surgery," the caption read.
Reese Witherspoon’s daughter lands surprise role with Miranda Lambert in Ella Langley’s ‘Choosin’ Texas’ video

The 26-year-old appeared alongside Miranda Lambert, Luke Grimes and Kaitlin Butts in the 'Choosin' Texas' video

Ava Phillippe is following in her famous parents' footsteps with a starring role in a new music video.

The 26-year-old rising star made an appearance in country star Ella Langley's latest music video for "Choosin’ Texas," which dropped on Wednesday, April 1.

In the music video, which also stars Miranda Lambert, Luke Grimes and Kaitlin Butts, Ava plays a woman at a bar who catches the eye of Langley's boyfriend in the video, played by Grimes.

It is then revealed in a series of flashbacks that Grimes and Ava's characters have a history and were previously linked romantically. After Langley notices Grimes can't keep his eyes off of Ava, she seeks out Lambert's help, with the two ultimately taking off together, leaving Grimes' character outside the bar on his own.

LAINEY WILSON REVEALS KEITH URBAN'S BRUTAL 5-WORD REALITY CHECK WHEN SHE COMPLAINED ABOUT GRUELING SCHEDULE

"This was such a fun shoot & I couldn’t be more grateful to be included in this stellar cast," Ava wrote on Instagram. "Ella is a true storyteller & getting to witness her creativity up close has me even more excited to see what she does next."

Ava is no stranger to the glitz and glam that comes with being on a set, as she grew up with actress, Reese Witherspoon, and actor, Ryan Phillippe, as her mom and dad.

Witherspoon spoke about Ava finding her footing in the acting world during an interview with Extra in March 2024, telling the outlet that her daughter was still "getting her feet wet" while trying to "figure out exactly what it is she wants to do."

"That's what always annoys me about this whole nepotism talk with the industry," he explained. "You know, so many people grow up and end up doing what their parents do, you know, to some degree or another.... To me, I always get offended for the children of actors and entertainers when people bring that up because, yeah, of course, that's what they've grown up around."

Her parents are known for their work together in "Cruel Intentions," as well as Witherspoon's roles in "Legally Blonde," "Big Little Lies" and "Walk the Line," for which she won an Academy Award.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

Prior to starring in Langley's music video, Ava appeared in one episode of both "Ransom Canyon" and "Doctor Odyssey."

Langley initially released "Choosin' Texas" in October 2025, and it went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in February. After getting dethroned by Bad Bunny’s "DTMF" and later Taylor Swift’s "Opalite," Langley found her way back on top in early March.

The song continued to drop down in placement and find its way back to the top, climbing back to No. 1 for a fourth time on March 28, making Langley the artist who has been at the top spot the most so far in 2026, with four appearances.

Her fourth appearance at the top of the list officially dethroned Swift, who went No. 1 three times so far this year, for her songs, "The Fate of Ophelia" and "Opalite."

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING?
Bryan shared a text from his team saying police, school officials and meteorologists agreed the show posed a safety risk

I've never canceled a show in my life but I unfortunately don't have a choice in the matter."

He told his fans that refunds for ticket purchases would be issued automatically, and noted that Saturday's show, scheduled for the same venue in Tulsa, is "still set to proceed as planned."

ZACH BRYAN ADMITS QUICK RISE TO FAME AFTER DECADE OF MILITARY SERVICE LED TO ALCOHOL DEPENDENCY

Bryan then shared a more personal sentiment on the cancellation, writing, "5 years of touring I’ve never cancelled a headlining show. I pissed off plenty people this morning trying to ‘play anyways,'" referencing a song on his latest album, "With Heaven on Top."

"If I had ANY say in this, things would be different. I apologize and I love all of ya," he added.

APP USERS CLICK HERE TO VIEW POST

To prove that he didn't have a say in it, Bryan shared a screenshot of a text from someone on his team who told him, "I know you're gonna hate me for this, but we have no choice but to cancel the show. I just had a meeting with the police, school, and the meteorologists and the consensus is that we would be putting people's safety at risk by trying to put on the show."

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING?
Country singer Tanner Usrey arrested on drug possession and DWI charges in Texas

The Collin County Sheriff's Office says Usrey, 32, was taken into custody Monday on three total charges

Country singer Tanner Usrey was arrested in Collin County, Texas, earlier this week on charges that include driving while intoxicated (DWI) and felony drug possession.

Usrey's rep provided a statement to Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital on the country singer's behalf.Â

"This past Monday morning, after attending a birthday party, I was arrested for possession of drugs and a DWI. I know situations like this can be disappointing, and I take responsibility for putting myself in a position where this could happen."

He also acknowledged ongoing public speculation, adding, "There has been speculation that I was arrested for possessing fentanyl or fentanyl-laced substances. Because this is an ongoing legal matter, I’ve been advised to keep my comments limited."

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE SUES SAG HARBOR POLICE TO BLOCK BODYCAM FOOTAGE RELEASE FROM DWI ARREST

The statement continued, "What I can say is that fentanyl is an extremely dangerous and deadly drug, and its impact on this country is undeniable."

He further clarified, "At no time have I knowingly possessed or ingested fentanyl, and I would never condone that behavior," noting that the substances involved are still being tested and that he would be "genuinely surprised" if fentanyl were detected.Â

Usrey added he would view such an outcome as "a blessing in disguise, one that may have ultimately protected me from something much worse."

The country singer concluded, "I’m grateful for the support, prayers, and patience many of you have shown me. I don’t take that for granted," he said. "My focus right now is on learning from this, making better decisions, and coming out the other side a better man. I truly appreciate you all, and I look forward to seeing you at the next show."

According to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office, Usrey, 32, was taken into custody on Monday, March 30. Court records obtained by Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital show he is facing three charges in total.

One charge is his second DWI offense, a Class A misdemeanor in Texas that can carry jail time, fines and a driver’s license suspension of between six months and two years.

He is also facing two felony drug charges.

Usrey was charged with possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1-B — a category that includes cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, opium and oxycodone, according to the Texas law.

Usrey was in possession of between 4 and 200 grams of the substance, according to court documents. That amount makes the charge a second-degree felony, which carries a potential sentence of between two and 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

The second drug charge, also a felony charge, is in Penalty Group 2, which includes varieties of stimulants and hallucinogens.

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING?
Carrie Underwood warns Hollywood is a 'self-serving business,' credits faith for keeping her grounded

Carrie Underwood says faith is 'the only way to keep you grounded' after 20 years in the spotlight

For over 20 years, Carrie Underwood has faced Hollywood's many challenges. Despite the ebbs and flows throughout her career, the country music star has remained steadfast in one thing: her faith.Â

After Monday's faith-themed episode of "American Idol," Underwood — who won the singing competition in 2005 and joined as a judge last year — opened up about how she has managed to navigate the entertainment industry's "self-serving" ways and maintain her authenticity.Â

"Faith is the thing that can keep you grounded," she told Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital. "When you're in the entertainment industry, there's a lot of things that, and I've said this before, it's just not real life. You can get caught up in a lot."

CARRIE UNDERWOOD SHARES SECRET TO RAISING GROUNDED CHILDREN ON TENNESSEE FARM

"You're kind of in a self-serving business," she added. "Everybody around you is there to make sure you're good, and you're happy, and you have everything you need, and I feel like you can start to… you can lose your roots real fast, you know. So I think faith is the only way to keep you grounded."

The Oklahoma native first captured the hearts of many on "American Idol" in 2005. After her victory, Underwood achieved instant success with singles such as "Jesus, Take the Wheel" and "Before He Cheats" off her debut album "Some Hearts," which became the bestselling debut album of all time by a solo female country artist. She went on to release eight more studio albums, including "Carnival Ride" (2007), "Play On" (2009), "Blown Away" (2012) and more.Â

As an "Idol" judge, Underwood's career has come full circle.Â

"Every once in a while, I will see glimpses of myself in a hopeful, whether it's somebody being super nervous or sometimes stylistically, just navigating this," she said. "This is weird, let's be honest. Being up on stage, singing in front of a whole bunch of people on TV, it's not your everyday kind of thing."

"So everybody's figuring out how to navigate all of it," she added. "But I'm just glad that we get to be a part of somebody's journey, lots of people's journeys."

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

During Monday's episode, Underwood performed the worship song "How Great Thou Art" and praised the show's decision to give contestants a platform to express their individual beliefs.Â

WATCH: CARRIE UNDERWOOD WARNS HOLLYWOOD IS A ‘SELF-SERVING BUSINESS,’ CREDITS FAITH FOR KEEPING HER FROM LOSING HER ROOTS

"I think it's for me personally being here on our songs of faith night. It was just joyful, you know, it was happy," she said. "It was people up there sharing their heart, and whatever that was to them, whether it was some song that, you know, touched them that was inspirational to them or whether it was something that they got to praise the Lord with. It was just a joyful, happy, lovely night."

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? "And it is the opposite of what I do everywhere else, like being on stage and being at home. These are two different people, pretty much, and I love that because it's like they'll come to shows, and they'll see me do what I do, and I feel like they're proud."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

"But mom makes dinner," she continued. That's mom, and I hope, more than anything, that's what they take away from me and that's what they remember about me. Like she was mom and every once in a while she goes and gets on stage."

WATCH: LUKE BRYAN CREDITS 'BAPTIST CHURCH' ROOTS AND SMALL-TOWN VALUES FOR HELPING HIM NAVIGATE A 'CHALLENGING LIFE'

While balancing life onstage and life at home, Underwood said she still manages to find things that motivate her to continue persevering within the industry.Â

"I think the things that motivate me are things I get excited about and, whatever that is, you know, whether it's singing at church or, you know, some project comes up that I'm like, I just want to be a part of that even if it doesn't quite make sense," she told Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital. "It's like being able to find those things that still get me excited."

Gavin Rossdale credits son’s school ride playlist for his country music kick ahead of Stagecoach

The Bush frontman opens up about his unexpected country music education ahead of performing at Stagecoach 2026

Gavin Rossdale revealed his surprising connection to country music as he prepares to perform at Stagecoach in a few weeks.

Rossdale told Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital he lives with someone who enjoys country music and spends half of his time listening to artists like Zach Bryan.

"It's funny, I live with someone who wants to play country music on most school rides. So, I get to listen to country half the time. And the other one he's into, my son, he's into yacht rock," Rossdale said. Yacht rock is a term to describe soft rock from the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Rossdale shares three sons — Kingston, Zuma and Apollo — with his ex-wife, Gwen Stefani. Rossdale is in a three-year relationship with musician Xhoana Xheneti.Â

GAVIN ROSSDALE SAYS CO-PARENTING WITH GWEN STEFANI IS LIKE A ‘TWO-LANE HIGHWAY’ THAT NEVER MERGES

"So, I split the time between when he's DJing. It's yacht rock, it's the Doobie Brothers, which is kind of cool, or country stuff," Rossdale said. "Now, I like Zach Bryan. I think he's incredible. I like some of those songs. You know, I liked it when it's more individual sounding and darker and weirder."

The Bush band member explained he's not quite up to speed on country music songs but prefers to listen to the Americana vibe that Bryan brings.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

Rossdale and his fellow Bush band members are heading to Stagecoach this year. Speaking to Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital, Rossdale said he's not afraid to perform at a country music festival because he believes rock and country audiences have a lot in common.

WATCH: Gavin Rossdale opens up about his surprising country music influence and preparation for Stagecoach 2026

"I think it just comes down to playing well and being enthusiastic and having a good energy. And if you bring good energy, there's no reason why people can't respond," he began.

APP USERS CLICK HERE

Rossdale, 60, is surprised that his career has spanned decades. The musician told Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital he believed once he turned 40, his life would be over.

"Everything is really weird because when I was young and to think, even to reflect myself at this point in my life would have been like, surely you're gonna be dead at that point. So, the fact I'm not dead is this crazy bonus from what my vision was as a kid. When I turned 40, I thought that's it, it's all over. And, so, for me, it is an incredible journey," Rossdale said.

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? And, for me, I continue to try and delve into like, just getting better at it," Rossdale said of making music.

He also told Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital he feels lucky to have the rest of his band members because "they play so well and hard and consistent."

Stagecoach 2026 is scheduled to take place from Friday, April 24, through Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
Luke Bryan credits religious roots and small-town values for helping him navigate a 'challenging life'

The 'American Idol' judge opened up after the show's faith-themed night, crediting his Baptist church upbringing for keeping him grounded

Luke Bryan has always turned to his faith and small-town roots when it comes to navigating life in the spotlight.Â

After Monday's episode of "American Idol," the country music star and singing competition judge opened up about the importance of the show's faith-themed night and explained how it resonated with him.Â

"Well, it means it's a really wonderful platform to allow these kids to sing songs that mean a lot to them," Bryan told Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital. "And I think the viewers at home really, really lean into this night and can sit at home and see these kids sing songs that mean a lot. Then there are songs that people will be moved in a lot of spiritual ways. What better way than to sit down with your family and watch this night of music, people singing songs that inspire and encourage faith. And I love it."

The "Songs of Faith" episode featured the top 14 contestants delivering raw and inspirational performances focused on spiritual beliefs.

Bryan, who sang "Jesus Is Love" with fellow judge Lionel Richie during Monday's live episode, said he often leans on his upbringing to work through the challenges that come with stardom.

LAINEY WILSON SAYS CITY PEOPLE HAVE WRONG VIEW OF COUNTRY TOWNS AS SHE DEFENDS HER 'BLUE COLLAR' ROOTS

"I was a Baptist church kid singing in the church choir," he said. "When you spend that time in church, and you understand your faith and your beliefs … it's what you gotta really lean on to get through this challenging life. I mean, when you look at all the ups and downs, it takes your faith and belief that there's a higher power to get you through all this stuff. So faith, when you grow up in the Baptist Church singing, I mean, we certainly heard a lot of sermons on it. So it's been really in my head about being solid in your faith for many, many years."

WATCH: Luke Bryan credits 'Baptist church' roots and small-town values for helping him navigate a 'challenging life'

"I think your small town values and small town work ethic and what you learned in the church and your family and your neighbors carries me through life the rest of my life and that's why I don't shy away from getting back home and going to a fish fry and getting my feet in the Georgia mud," he added.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

In 2023, Bryan opened up about finding success the "old-fashioned way."

"For most of my career I went up there going, I got to prove myself. So it’s really liberating and gratifying to just go, I am what I am," Bryan shared with People magazine at the time.

WATCH: ‘American Idol’ took faith night to ‘another level’ as contestants share gratitude for freedom of expression

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING?
Nate Smith admits he threw a drink at Morgan Wallen on stage, calling him 'a very forgiving person'

Singer says fellow country star 'should have kicked me off the tour' but instead forgave

Nate Smith got a little too comfortable while performing on stage with fellow country star Morgan Wallen.

During a recent interview with Billboard News, the 40-year-old musician said one of the things he learned about the "Last Night" singer while on tour with him is that "he's a very forgiving person."

"One of the nights during the tour, I may have thrown a drink at him on stage. I might have done that. I might have done that," he admitted. "I might have. And I thought I was trying to be funny, and it wasn't funny. And Morgan forgave me. He forgave me."

The singer admitted Wallen "should have kicked me off the tour," but the two of them laughed about it on FaceTime together.

LUKE COMBS SAYS ‘WHO THE F--- CARES’ IF CHOOSING FAMILY TIME OVER INDUSTRY PARTIES COSTS HIM AWARDS

He explained that, after apologizing, Wallen said he understood, telling him, "Man, I probably would have done the same thing, or I've done the same thing."

"He's a very forgiving person. He has a lot of grace. He's a good man," Smith said. "He's a good man. He's a great guy. Literally a whole cup. A whole cup. I thought I was the funniest guy in the world."

After the incident, Smith recalls getting "a lot of phone calls" and that "nobody was happy" about what he did on stage.

"Morgan, if you're listening, I love you," Smith added. "I'm still really sorry about that. Thank you for not pranking me back, by the way. You made me think you were going to the entire tour and you didn't. You held back because you're a man who walks in grace. Thank you, sir."

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

Wallen has had a rocky road since becoming a country music superstar.
Country star Tracy Lawrence calls out ‘divisive’ political climate: Music should bring us 'all together’

The 'Time Marches On' singer says music 'is supposed to be the thing that unites us'

Country musician Tracy Lawrence is calling out the growing political divide in America and urging fans to keep it out of country music.

In a candid moment, the longtime country artist took aim at what he sees as a deep divide in the nation and shared his hope for a return to a simpler, more inclusive society.

"Our journeys are all unique into themselves, but we all share a passion and a love of music," he said during his conversation with Morgan Evans on the "TL’s Road House" podcast.

"What I love about it, and I wish we could get back to more of this," Lawrence continued. "With all the divisive stuff going on with politics and the world … music is supposed to be the thing that unites us."

MAREN MORRIS SAYS SHE ‘LOST A LOT OF FANS’ BECAUSE OF HER POLITICAL VIEWS

The "Time Marches On" singer, known for his traditional country roots and decades-long career, emphasized that music has historically served as a place where people could connect without the weight of political identity.

"I wish people would get the politics out of all this stuff," he continued, "where we could just get back, and it doesn’t matter what color you are or where you come from."

His frustration may reflect a broader tension across the entertainment industry, where artists are often pulled into political debates, whether they want to be or not.

COUNTRY STAR TRACY LAWRENCE SURVIVED BEING SHOT FOUR TIMES DURING MUGGING, SAYS ANGER NEARLY WRECKED HIS LIFE

"I think music is supposed to be one of those things that brings us all together," he added. "Because it used to be that, and I’d love to see that happen more again."

In February, the country star revisited a harrowing chapter from more than three decades ago, when he was shot four times during a brutal mugging in Nashville.

JELLY ROLL ADMITS ‘DUMB REDNECK’ STATUS WHEN PUSHED ON POLITICS AFTER BRINGING GOD TO GRAMMYS STAGE

"I was angry back then," Lawrence exclusively told Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital. "I felt like … they were trying to take my opportunity away from me, and I didn't get the mental help that I needed.
Carrie Underwood shares secret to raising grounded children on Tennessee farm

'American Idol' judge and country superstar Carrie Underwood opened up on 'The View' about life on her Tennessee farm

Carrie Underwood wears many hats, but there's one that trumps the rest.Â

During an appearance on a recent episode of "The View," Underwood — who was joined by her fellow "American Idol" judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie — opened up about how she manages to keep her home life grounded at her Tennessee farm with husband Mike Fisher and their two sons, Isaiah and Jacob.

"I don't bring work home with me," Underwood told the TV hosts. "And it is the opposite of what I do everywhere else, like being on stage and being at home. These are two different people, pretty much, and I love that because it's like they'll come to shows, and they'll see me do what I do, and I feel like they're proud."

CARRIE UNDERWOOD FULLY EMBRACES TRADITIONAL COUNTRY LIVING ON HER TENNESSEE FARM

"But mom makes dinner," she continued. "I'm usually covered in dirt, or I have farm animals everywhere, or I'm covered in poop or whatever it is. That's mom, and I hope, more than anything, that's what they take away from me and that's what they remember about me. Like she was mom and every once in a while she goes and gets on stage."

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

As a former "Idol" contestant and country superstar, Underwood revealed whether her sons have shown any interest in following in her footsteps.

"[Isaiah] is mini me in so many ways," Underwood said of her 11-year-old son. "He can sing. He loves ‘Star Trek’ ... but I don't think I would [let him do a show like ‘Idol’], he would need to be older and more established in himself."

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING?
Thomas Rhett admits fame led him to 'living a double life' that nearly destroyed his marriage

The country star admitted that he didn't always handle fame and success well early in his career

Thomas Rhett is admitting to once "living a double life" that almost ruined his marriage.

"I look through my life and I think about all the things that have kind of twisted me or made me like not the best person to be around, and it has always been either around affirmation or lack of affirmation," the country star told Sadie Robertson Huff on her "WHOA That’s Good" podcast.

The "Die a Happy Man" singer, who appeared on the podcast with his wife, Lauren Akins, said that at the height of his fame, he experienced "the most affirmation I think I'd ever received in my life. And I really liked it."

But he admitted that he didn’t feel he handled his marriage very well at the time.

CARLY PEARCE SAYS FAITH UPBRINGING IN THE SOUTH CAME WITH 'SEX SHAME' AND JUDGEMENT

"I look back at our life during that time, and I'm not — I don't think I stewarded it very well, to be honest with you," Rhett said. "I think I wanted to try some things better just to make her — It was all at the sake of making her happy. And this was back in the time when I thought I actually could make my wife happy."

He said there are "moments I think that I can, but if I look at myself as the pure sole source of her happiness, I'm going to always let her down," adding that it took him a decade to "truly learn that both of our sources of happiness comes from" God.

"Like joy comes from the Lord and there are things that we can do for each other that bring each other joy," he said. "But at the truest self of your heart, if you can't learn that true joy comes from the Lord, then you're always going to be searching for something that makes you happy."

At that time, he said he was trying to be successful "at all costs."

Fast-forwarding to a year later, he said he and Akins were about to have their first biological child and were also adopting a child from Uganda.

The couple, who first met in the first grade, married in 2012.Â

He said he "was the most spiritually unhealthy human being" at the time.

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? CLICK HERE FOR MORE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

Publicly, he said he kept up a façade of spirituality, "but internally I was dying. Like I genuinely, I just liked what was happening so much that I think so much of me was being sucked into the world so hard that it just kept pushing me and her like this," he said, moving his hands away from each other.

Rhett noted that he and his wife said from "day one, divorce is not an option," but "the more you actually think about it, anything is actually an option if you let it become that."

He said when they were around 25 to 26 years old, "I was living a double life."

GWEN STEFANI DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO RECEIVE LOVE BEFORE FINDING ‘CHRIST’S LOVE’ WITH BLAKE SHELTON

Rhett explained that around that time they were living for a year in Uganda while Akins was pregnant, and he was traveling for work all the time.

"I'm playing a show in Arizona, and then I'm traveling back to Uganda, and then I'm going to New York, and I'm going back to Uganda," he said. "Like I can never actually settle anywhere."

It wasn’t until 2020 that he said he "actually discovered bits and pieces of who I actually was at my core, without a microphone, without a stage with and without affirmation, because it was the first time it had ever been taken away from me, if that makes any sense."

In the last five years, he said, "Jesus has chiseled on my heart more" than he can remember.

"I'm not perfect," he continued. "I'll never be perfect, but I would say, like today, us looking at each other and being a married couple, I would say this is — I'm living my most true self now."

He pointed to his wife, saying, "She always sort of has been" living her true self, to which Akins modestly balked.

"It’s just such a peaceful feeling," he added.

Akins admitted earlier in the podcast that she hates the spotlight.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

She said in a roomful of people she knows, she feels comfortable, but if it’s not a "safe place" for her, she feels very out of her "comfort zone."

"We couldn't be more opposite," she explained. "He's been in every single talent show that's ever existed since we were little kids and the lead in all the musicals, and it just — we're so opposite."

But she said whenever she’s out of her comfort zone with Rhett, she knows "he's going to hold my hand and get me out on the other side. I may not be totally unscathed, but yeah, it's always been worth it."

Having grown up with faith, she said, "Your brain knows the truth, but it's one thing to, like, know truth and to be able to speak truth, but to believe and walk in truth are two very different things."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

She added that she felt Rhett had given both of them the gift of "pushing us out of our comfort zones in very different ways. And it's not what I wanted to do, but I see his faithfulness through all of it … I love adrenaline, adventure. I’m here for all of that."

Akins said she never dreamed of what her life has become: "The family that we have, the life that we live now. I'm like truly — I told him just a few months ago, like through tears, I'm like ‘Every dream I ever dreamed as a little girl, like it has already happened and come true. Like I'm there. I'm living every bit of it, and I feel so unbelievably grateful even through all the tears and the hard moments, like he truly does just pay attention to our hearts and wants to care for us and wants to love us and show how much he loves us."

'Pretty Heart' singer Parker McCollum credits Miranda Lambert with teaching him to say no

Miranda Lambert helped Parker McCollum find his footing in the country music business by embracing one simple word.

McCollum, who just sold out his fourth consecutive Houston Rodeo performance, credited Lambert with teaching him to set boundaries to protect his sanity.

"It took me a long time to fall in love with the word no," McCollum said during an appearance on the "Ten Year Town Podcast." "Um, shout out Miranda Lambert. She was the one who really taught me a lot about that."

"I think she loves that word," he added. "That's her favorite word in the business, I think. And it's mine, too."

LAINEY WILSON REVEALS KEITH URBAN'S BRUTAL 5-WORD REALITY CHECK WHEN SHE COMPLAINED ABOUT GRUELING SCHEDULE

McCollum admitted starting out in country music requires a relentless drive.

"As a young artist, you're so hungry, and you want to go, go, go, go, go. And that's really the only way to make it happen in this business is to do it that way – is to just grind, and you got to want it," he explained.

"I think everybody probably has a day at some point where you just kind of had enough," McCollum added.

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? Just do something else for a small amount of time. Two weeks, give me 14 days to completely forget that I even am a part of this thing and that I exist in this world,'" he said. "At that point you kind of find a balance, you know, and you still have that work ethic, and you still have that desire to write and create and tour and perform and do the deal. You just, you get better at getting better at it."

"I probably sound like I know 100% what I'm talking about, but I still feel like I don't."

McCollum released his first single, "Highway," in 2013. The musician gained recognition on the Texas country scene after the release of his debut album "The Limestone Kid."

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

He landed his first number one hit with "Pretty Heart" in 2019 after signing with MCA Nashville.

McCollum solidified his mainstream success with the release of his 2021 album, "Gold Chain Cowboy."

McCollum's accomplishments have done little to change his mindset as he continues to approach his career with the same drive that fueled his early years.

"I say all the time, 'I'm still trying to make it,'" he recently told People ahead of the release of his fifth studio album.

Megan Moroney is swapping Nashville for the tropics and making sure her best friend has the ultimate send-off.

The "Tennessee Orange" singer was in the Bahamas over the weekend, where she shared an inside look at a bachelorette getaway for her close friend, social media influencer Natalie King. Known for her soulful anthems about heartbreak and girlhood, Moroney is leaning into the latter as she helps King celebrate her final days as a single woman. The vacation serves as a stylish interlude for the singer, who has been documenting the festivities and her own vacation looks for her Instagram followers.

The country singer appeared relaxed and sun-kissed in the indoor snap, giving her followers a first look at her vacation wardrobe. Moroney showcased a structured, vibrant orange bikini top with subtle gold hardware, paired with matching bottoms.

Keeping the look playful and coastal, the "I'm Not Pretty" singer accessorized with a statement charm necklace, including a visible shell and a hot pink starfish pendant. Her signature hair was styled in natural beach waves, completing the look with simple bracelets and manicured nails.

MILEY CYRUS ADMITS THE 'TERRIBLE HABIT' SHE LEARNED FROM DOLLY PARTON

The celebration moved to the shoreline, where Moroney shared a candid look at her island escape. The CMA winner was seen walking barefoot into the turquoise tide, her back to the camera as she waded through the rolling waves.

But it wouldn’t be a bachelorette weekend without a coordinated moment with the bride-to-be. Moroney later shared a photo alongside King, with both striking a celebratory pose on a scenic observation deck.

Staying true to her country roots, Moroney wore a dark brown cowgirl hat paired with a daring black mesh cover-up. King appeared bridal-ready in a white lace crop top and a ruffled maxi skirt. The duo raised their arms in unison, drinks in hand, as they posed against a backdrop of palm trees and the Caribbean horizon.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

While Moroney is currently soaking up the sun, the "6 Months Later" singer is also celebrating a major career "full circle" moment.

COUNTRY STAR MEGAN MORONEY POSTS CHRISTMAS BIKINI PHOTOS FROM BEACH GETAWAY

In an exclusive interview with People, Moroney revealed she is honoring the 20th anniversary of "Hannah Montana" by releasing a cover of the iconic theme song, "Best of Both Worlds," through Spotify Singles. The country star, 28, admitted to the outlet that she has been using the track to get "hyped" before her own shows for the last two years.

"I started watching and listening to Hannah Montana at a young age. So I think just her confidence… She was bubbly and funny. I think that definitely wore off on me," Moroney told People. "I didn’t grow up and like, want to be a princess. I wanted to grow up and be Hannah Montana."

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? For Moroney, the pressure was on to do the 2006 classic justice for the "Disney" die-hards.

COUNTRY STAR MEGAN MORONEY SETS RECORD STRAIGHT ABOUT RUMORED MORGAN WALLEN ROMANCE

"This is like, the Hannah Montana song and I can’t piss off Hannah Montana fans," she noted in a behind-the-scenes clip from the recording session.

The Spotify release follows a massive year for the "Hannah Montana" catalog, which saw nearly 10.7 million hours of streaming globally in 2025 alone. For Moroney, the project is a chance to bridge the gap between her country roots and the pop-culture phenomenon that inspired her early on.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Carly Pearce says faith upbringing in the South came with 'sex shame' and judgement

Singer reflects on religious upbringing in Kentucky and releases sultry duet 'If I Don't Leave, I'm Gonna Stay' with Riley Green

Carly Pearce is opening up about the complicated relationship between faith and identity that shaped her upbringing in the South.

During a recent interview with Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital, the 35-year-old singer, who recently teamed up with fellow country star Riley Green for the sultry duet "If I Don't Leave, I'm Gonna Stay," reflected on the meaning behind her previously released song "Church Girl."

In the track, Pearce sings to a young woman who believes in God but wrestles with guilt and criticism from others for living outside the bounds of a traditional Christian lifestyle.

CHRIS PRATT WARNS THAT HOLLYWOOD FAME AND SUCCESS 'WILL KILL YOU' WITHOUT STRONG FAITH FOUNDATION

Pearce, who grew up in a religious household in small-town Kentucky, explained that she immediately resonated with the themes explored in "Church Girl."

"I think why I loved it so much is because as a woman of faith, especially in the South, it comes with a lot of things from your childhood — you know, around sex shame or the judgment and guilt that a lot of us feel just trying to navigate living a life that’s Christ-like, if you will," she said.

"And I obviously have had my own share of those struggles, being somebody who’s gone through a lot in the public eye and obviously gone through a divorce and different things like that," she continued.Â

"And I wanted this song to be an anthem for anybody that’s on a journey to know that they’re seen and cared for," Pearce added.

COUNTRY STAR CARLY PEARCE ISSUES URGENT HEALTH PLEA AFTER BEING IGNORED BY DOCTORS: 'PLEASE GO GET CHECKED'

In October 2019, Pearce married fellow country singer Michael Ray, but she filed for divorce just eight months later in June 2020. The "Every Little Thing" hitmaker has previously described that period as one of the hardest in her life and admitted to feeling shame around her divorce.

"I was embarrassed when it happened … and I had shame around that and was heartbroken," Pearce recalled during an August 2025 appearance on Bunnie XO's podcast, "Dumb Blonde."

While speaking with People magazine in January, Pearce shared that she also experienced spiritual guilt over the split. She told the outlet that she felt "Church Girl" was a song that she wished that she could have heard while she was growing up, saying that it helped her cope with the divorce.

GWEN STEFANI DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO RECEIVE LOVE BEFORE FINDING ‘CHRIST’S LOVE’ WITH BLAKE SHELTON

"I [also] needed it when I was going through a very public relationship splitting, and 'Oh gosh, I feel like I've let God down of what marriage is,'" she recalled. "So many different things in my life that I've been like, 'Well, does this mean I'm not a Christian? Does this mean that God hates me?'"

Pearce continued, "I think what I have come to find for myself is I wish I could go back and tell her, 'You're OK, you're OK, and we're all on a journey. We're all figuring it out, and no matter where you're at on your journey, Jesus loves you. I know that.'"

During her interview with Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital, Pearce reflected on what she hopes people who are struggling with their identity and faith take away from "Church Girl."

NICK JONAS 'QUESTIONED FAITH' AFTER CHURCH FORCED FAMILY OUT OF HOME DURING EARLY FAME

"That you’re not alone and that we all have different struggles, and it is certainly not anybody else’s place to judge your struggle," she said.

Looking back on her religious upbringing, Pearce said her faith has remained an anchor through the highs and lows of her career.

"I think I rely on my faith a lot," Pearce said. "I think in a culture and in a business that’s so fleeting and up and down and such a roller coaster ride, I think it’s the thing that keeps me grounded."

CANDACE CAMERON BURE REFUSES TO LET CANCEL CULTURE TAKE HER DOWN DESPITE INDUSTRY BACKLASH

"Church Girl," which was released as a single on Jan. 23, will be featured on Pearce's upcoming fifth studio album. Pearce has previously said that the album, which follows her 2024 release "Hummingbird," will be a return to her Kentucky and Appalachian bluegrass roots.

While speaking with Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital, the Grammy Award winner recalled her childhood in Kentucky as the foundation of her love for music.

"I loved my childhood," she said. "I have the best family. I had the best grandparents that really instilled in me the country music — like, the traditional country music and bluegrass side of music. They were the ones that shaped my view of the Grand Ole Opry, my view of wanting to be a singer. I got my start as a very young girl, 10 years old, singing in a bluegrass band traveling around in Kentucky. So those memories, you know, it’s where my love of music started."

COUNTRY STAR TRACY LAWRENCE SURVIVED BEING SHOT FOUR TIMES DURING MUGGING, SAYS ANGER NEARLY WRECKED HIS LIFE

Pearce explained that her upbringing still shapes the music she makes today, saying, "That girl that was 10-years-old fronting a bluegrass band with men in their 40s and 50s — I think about her."

"She is still kind of the same girl wanting to sing music that can stand the test of time, not, you know, hide behind a bunch of help in the studio or different things like that," she continued. "And I think that rootsy side of me will always be there."

Pearce and Green's new duet, "If I Don't Leave, I'm Gonna Stay," will also appear on her forthcoming album. The sultry track explores the tension between two people who know they shouldn’t be together but can’t seem to walk away.

'DUCK DYNASTY' STAR SADIE ROBERTSON HUFF SAYS PEOPLE ARE 'TIRED OF FAKING IT' AND WANT 'AUTHENTICITY'

While speaking with Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital, Pearce reflected on whether she and Green drew on their own personal experiences to capture the push-and-pull dynamic at the core of the song. Â

"I think when you’re a storyteller and a songwriter and an artist, you have to kind of tap into different roles," she said. "Neither of us wrote this song, which is a little different for both of us since we’re primarily both songwriters of our own music. But I think it’s very easy to tap into this feeling. I’m sure that both of us at some point in our lives have stayed in a relationship too long and let that wheel continue to pull us back in at times."

Pearce noted that she and Green didn't record their vocals together but said she gave the "Worst Way" singer some guidance after laying down her part of the track.

RILEY GREEN CHOOSES ALABAMA FARM OVER NASHVILLE FAME DESPITE HAVING 'EVERY REASON' TO MAKE THE MOVE

"I gave a little bit of a blueprint as to, "'You sing here, I’ll sing here,' and he just nailed it," she said.

"If I Don't Leave, I'm Gonna Stay" was released on March 13 alongside the accompanying music video, which leans into the story of the song and features Pearce and Green as a couple caught in a steamy, on-again/off-again relationship. The music video's debut prompted fan speculation of a real-life romance between the musicians due to their noticeable chemistry.

However, Pearce dismissed the dating rumors, telling Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital, "I feel like anytime any person is associated with another person in the public eye, people can do that. But you know, it’s make-believe. It’s show business, and we were playing the characters. But I think fans, they like to build up any kind of story that they can in their head."

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

Green is making his acting debut in the new Yellowstone spinoff "Marshals," in which he plays a former Navy SEAL named Garrett. When asked whether she had also considered embarking on an acting career, Pearce said, "It’s been something that I would love to do."
She continued, "I grew up doing musical theater and things, and I’ve definitely over the last few years read for some parts, and it’s funny — when Riley and I were doing the video, he asked me if I wanted to act. And so yeah, I’m definitely open to it and think it would be something that creatively I’m interested in."

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? While speaking with Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital, Pearce shared why she had decided to make a fresh start on social media.

"I’ve been doing this a decade, which is crazy, at this level," she said. "And I think at times, especially in a world where social media is kind of the catalyst for all of us in the public eye, I think I just wanted to be — I think this is my most bold music. It’s the most ‘me’ music, and I think it was just wanting people to see that new is coming and to get ready for it."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Pearce told Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital that after a challenging last few years, she now feels like she is entering a new chapter in her life.Â

"I think I’ve had to get to a place where I think society tells us to completely forget and, ‘Oh no, I’ve moved on, everything’s wonderful,’ blah blah blah. But I think I’m in this place of saying all of these things have led me to be in a place that I think is my happiest and healthiest and best season of my life. And I’m happy for all of the things I’ve gone through."

‘Goodbye California’ anthem sparks firestorm as country star hits back at critics: ‘Right is right’

Annie Bosko says critics wrongly tried to frame her bittersweet ballad as political although it reflects genuine concerns about her home state

Country star Annie Bosko is speaking out about the criticism that she has faced after releasing her new song "Goodbye California" earlier this year.

During an interview with Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital, the 40-year-old singer explained that the bittersweet country ballad has resonated with the majority of listeners but struck a nerve with others, who have tried to frame the song as political, which she insists was not her intention. Â

"I have gotten some backlash on the song, and I'm OK with it," Bosko shared ahead of her March 5 concert at the famed West Hollywood music venue the Troubadour.Â

"I think anytime you put yourself out there to make a statement and to say something, people will take any shot at turning something political," she continued.

RILEY GREEN CHOOSES ALABAMA FARM OVER NASHVILLE FAME DESPITE HAVING 'EVERY REASON' TO MAKE THE MOVE

"I don't believe in getting involved in politics — I care about the state that I grew up in," Bosko added. "I love California. So that's where I stand on things. And there comes a point where right is right and wrong is wrong, and it feels like there's too much wrong going on."Â

"So, you know what, if 1% of people are upset with me, then so be it, right?" Bosko added. "You can't please them all."

"So, therefore, you’re forced to leave," she continued. "Not because you want to leave, but because you feel like you don’t have any other option. And I feel like a lot of people, and myself included, have felt that way in both love relationships and geographically in locations. I think most people would say ‘Why would you want to leave here?’ Like look at the weather, look at everything. I mean it’s beautiful, right? You got everything: the desert, mountains, ocean, farm, ranch, everything.' I just think sometimes people, for financial reasons or other reasons, feel like they’ve been forced to leave."

The "Levitating" singer explained that many people she knows in the entertainment industry have also moved on to other states due to a sharp decline in projects filming in Los Angeles.Â

"This was the epicenter of all entertainment," Bosko said. "And I feel like so many people have left because the jobs aren’t here. And so I feel like — I wouldn’t say there’s a specific moment in time — I just feel like, gradually over the years, every time I’ve come back, it feels like little things have kind of been chipped away."

"It just feels like so much of that dynamic and community has changed," she continued. "So many of my actor friends are leaving. And that’s what makes LA and Hollywood so special are the artists. Without the artists, this town is not the same. You need artists. And so I feel like it’s kind of been a combination honestly of all those things."

WATCH: COUNTRY STAR ANNIE BOSKO DEFENDS ‘GOODBYE CALIFORNIA’ AFTER CRITICS SPEAK OUT

Bosko told Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Digital that she has spent a lot of time in Nashville, Tennessee, in recent years and believes that it would make the most sense for her to relocate to Music City.Â

"So much of the music industry is there," she said. "And so many of my collaborators and business partners are there. So that would kind of be the obvious answer."Â

"But I feel like California’s my heart and soul," she continued. "I’d like to end up here just because I love it and this is my home."

Bosko shared that she remains optimistic California could one day return to the state she remembers from earlier years.

"I’m hopeful that there’s a bright future," she said. "The world always changes, but I almost feel as though people have to get so fed up that everyone wants a change. And I do feel as though so many people across the board — doesn’t matter where you are on the political spectrum — I think so many people across the board are fed up with just the way things have been and that there’s a better way to lead this state."

The singer explained that California holds a special meaning for her because her grandparents were able to build successful lives in the state after emigrating from Croatia.Â

WATCH: COUNTRY STAR ANNIE BOSKO SAYS ‘99%’ OF PEOPLE RESONATE WITH HER SONG ‘GOODBYE CALIFORNIA’ DESPITE BACKLASH

"I guess that's why I feel so passionately about California, in particular, because my family did come here and live the American Dream," she said. "They were able to come here, start a farm, build a business, buy homes. And I think about this next generation, and I don’t know that they’re in the same position."Â

"It’s like to buy a home here, right? It’s just everything is difficult," Bosko continued. "I think families are paying astronomical money in taxes to not feel safe walking their own kids outside in a stroller on the road. And at some point, it's just not fair anymore."

"This next generation will be impacted the most," she added. "I think I read a statistic that more kids now than ever in their 30s are living with their parents just because they can't afford to start a new life here. And so I really hope that that changes. And I'm hopeful it could change, but like I said, people have got to be so upset and be aggravated by it to make that change."

Bosko recalled that her grandmother sold her only car so her husband could buy a Ford tractor and start a small farm, which later grew into her family's successful Boskovich Farms.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

"Kudos to my grandmother, that’s what you call blind faith," she said. "I don’t know that I would have been that hopeful in any guy."

"But she had faith in him, and she knew that he worked really hard, and he was relentless, and he started a farm on four acres of land himself," Bosko said. "And then his sons ended up helping him grow the company. It was a smart move."

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? "But multi-generational farmers are struggling big time right now. And California grows, I think, nearly 75% of the nation's produce, so that's huge. It's really important. I think we need to protect farmers, protect farmland, make sure they're getting adequate water supply and that we do everything we can to help."

"Goodbye California" is available to stream here, and the official visualizer can be watched here.Â

Country star Zac Brown warns ‘poverty of spirit’ and lack of struggle are ruining American kids

Music star warns lack of hardship breeds entitlement

Country music star Zac Brown traded stadium stages for the wilderness during a recent appearance on the landmark 50th season of the reality show "Survivor," issuing a warning about entitlement among America’s youth.

During his time in Fiji, where the show is filmed, Brown spoke with Rolling Stone and got personal about his own difficult upbringing and the lack of struggle for youth today.

"There’s a poverty of spirit with a lot of American kids," Brown said while on the set of the hit show.

"When you don’t know how to appreciate anything you have, when you haven’t had to work for it or struggle or wait — it just creates entitlement. Some of the most affluent kids are some of the saddest ones," he added.

WALKER HAYES SAYS KIDS HAD ‘FRONT-ROW SEAT’ TO STRUGGLES, INCLUDING ‘ALCOHOLIC DAD’

The Grammy-winning singer spoke candidly about his childhood, including his mother’s struggles with mental health and time spent in a battered women’s shelter. Brown said he had to "grow up so fast," adding that in many ways he was already an adult as a child.

He revealed that he eventually helped his mother get a diagnosis and professional help. Brown noted the experience helped turn his anger into a deep sense of empathy, stating, "Usually empathy comes from trauma."

"A lot of people miss out on the real joy in life, which comes from serving other people. That’s what really makes you happy at your core," said Brown, who started his own summer camp, Camp Southern Ground, which focuses on serving at-risk youth and veterans.

LUKE COMBS SAYS ‘WHO THE F--- CARES’ IF CHOOSING FAMILY TIME OVER INDUSTRY PARTIES COSTS HIM AWARDS

Before the country superstar arrived on the "Survivor" set, he went spearfishing in the "sharkiest waters on earth," according to Rolling Stone, resurfacing with a massive tuna after diving 80 feet in a single breath.

His appearance on the show served as a reward for the winning team of the episode. Brown spent the day cleaning the fish he caught and cooking a meal for the hungry contestants.

LAINEY WILSON ADMITS TO BEING ‘SO BROKE’ SHE NEEDED HER SISTER TO VENMO MONEY WHEN SHE MET FIANCÉ

Brown joined "Fox & Friends" in July to discuss the Zac Brown Band’s upcoming residency at the Las Vegas Sphere.Â

"Our goal is to just keep mashing on the gas and to step into that legacy era with our band. To be one of the Grateful Dead, the Rolling Stones," Brown said.Â

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

"This is our event to set the groundwork for moving into that," he added.Â

Miranda Lambert's childhood home hits market for $1.59M as parents say goodbye to Texas farmhouse

The Lindale, Texas property where the country star lived from age 14 to 21 features 4,643 square feet, outdoor kitchen and shooting range

Miranda Lambert is saying goodbye to her childhood home.

The 42-year-old country singer's home in Lindale, Texas, has been placed on the market for $1.59 million by her parents, Rick and Beverly, in partnership with listing agent Lee Trowbridge of Compass.

"Until their transition out of the home about a year ago, the property served as the Lambert family home," Trowbridge told Mansion Global. "During their time living there, the property was a home to many, including those who needed a helping hand, or a place to land."

According to the outlet, Lambert lived in the home from the age of 14 to 21, and later purchased the pink house on the property, "after she signed her record deal when she was 21." The country star still owns the pink house.

COUNTRY MUSIC STARS TURN FAME INTO FLAVOR WITH BOOMING RESTAURANT VENTURES: SEE THE LIST

Originally built in 1923, the 4,643-square-foot home includes four bedrooms and five bathrooms across two floors, with the perfect mix of modern and vintage details.

In addition, the home also boasts 2,500 square feet of outdoor living space with a brick courtyard, an outdoor kitchen, a covered patio and access to a private dock along the pond.

A metal warehouse and a shop with an additional bathroom and living area can also be found on the property, as well as a designated 100-yard shooting range.

"This property’s biggest draw is its blend of country music history and its massive 2,500 square feet of outdoor living space," Trowbridge said. "Between the vintage interior character and the practical additions like the shop and shooting range, the property offers a rare mix of cool factor and functional country living."Â

MIRANDA LAMBERT SAYS SHE'S 'ADDICTED' TO SHOOTING GUNS ON HORSEBACK IN NEW WILD WEST HOBBY

While Lambert didn't write her 2009 hit song, "The House That Built Me," she has said in many interviews the song resonated with her and was similar to her real life.

The song tells the story of an adult returning to their childhood home and asking the current homeowners if she could walk around inside, in order to relive the happy times from when she was younger.

"It was a run-down farmhouse that my mom somehow made into a beautiful home little by little. That’s why that song was so special when I heard it, because I lived it," she told Southern Living's podcast, "Biscuits and Jam" in May 2023.

"That was when we had kind of lost everything, and my parents were starting over," she added. "We had to start over a little bit and move to a different town, and my dad and my mom just rebuilt. I mean, they literally were like, 'We’re gonna start over and rebuild our lives and get back on our feet.'"

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER

She added that when they moved into the farmhouse, her "dad decided that his family would never be hungry" and that they "would live off the land," noting "that's exactly what happened."

The "Tin Man" singer recalled her dad hunting for their food and setting up a "garden and compost pile," adding they also "raised rabbits" and her mom would can everything.

Lambert broke into the music industry in 2003 after she placed third on "Nashville Star," which ultimately led to her landing a record deal. She released her first studio album, "Kerosene," in 2005, which went platinum, immediately cementing her place in the country music world.

Since then, she has released seven additional studio albums, two of which won the Grammy Award for best country album, and holds the record for the most awarded artist at the Academy of Country Music Awards, with 35 wins, including nine consecutive female vocalist of the year wins.

LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? Lambert recorded "Mama's Broken Heart" for her 2013 album, after it was pitched to her without Musgraves' knowledge, despite the fact that she had planned to release it as her first single.

"And ultimately, I'm really glad that I did, because it forced me to write 'Merry Go Round,' which ended up making way more sense for me anyways, aesthetically and lyrically, to kick my whole thing off, versus 'Mama's Broken Heart,'" Musgraves told NPR in March. "And that ended up going No. 1 for her. So in the end, everyone won because I was able to let go of something."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP
